Awesome screenie! <3 Maybe Fenris cracks open a bottle of champagne to celebrate killing the magister? Or... it could be he's having a really tough day in that scene and he's drinking his sorrows away?
I just think it could be either one of those because usually people don't drink straight from the bottle unless it's a party and they're celebrating something, or they're upset and feel like getting drunk as quickly as possible (which means skipping the time it takes to pour the drinks into glasses).

Seriously though, I love that photo. His expression is a little unsure ("what...is this exactly, Varric?") but his posture conveys to me a sense of competitive pride.

EDIT: Okay, I'll be back in 5 hours or so, I hope I don't miss page 1000 but I will celebrate it with you all later if make it by then!

i would say either a mean/depressed drunk...can't see him as being happy drunk lol

I can imagine a scenario where he's sacked the mansion and has found Denerius's stash of vintage wines.  He might be feeling  relief mixed with  a sense of defiance.  'Your former slave drinking Avalia Pamunalis straight from the bottle?  How that would have offended you, Denerius... if you were still alive.' *smirk*

After getting drunk he'd brood, though.

I agree. Fenris getting drunk because he's happy doesn't seem to fit.

Is it sad that we already know so much about him to make these types of judgements before the game is even out?
