I'll start off by saying  I don't care if the PS3 gets Mass Effect 2 and I don't care if PS3 gets the game built with the ME3 engine, but frankly I think it's disgraceful that the one core thing Bioware left out of the 360 version was added into the PS3 version. To outline it here is a post I made a while after the ME2 release in regards to problems with Mass Effect 2:

"Renegade New Game - Starting a new character with a set background totally goes against the games theme of decisions and choices. New players to ME might think this is canon. I imported my ME1 characters so it doesnt affect me but I dont think its fair for other players."

...and now we learn this is in the PS3 version? well thanks for taking notice Bioware but you forgot to do it for the console that your game is most popular on.

It's not only a failure of the 360 fan base who have been supporting you since the game has begun but a failure as a games developer and in yourselves, if you are a games developer and you wanted to give people the same feeling you got when you first started gaming then you have failed by brushing aside your fans.

I have a 360, PC and PS3, only poor developers do not make their multiplatform games equal, and that's my take on the subject.

Way too much platform elitism, insults, and name-calling in this thread. If you want to try this again without all the nastiness and insults (which includes bashing of developers or publishers), you can start a new thread. Thank you.

end of line.
