So I am planning on starting another character pretty soon, however I cant make up my mind. Right now I am leaning toward either an Infiltrator, or Vanguard/Adept with an assault rifle special training. Keep in mind that if I enjoy this one enough, I will probably re-run it through closer to ME3 Release and it will probably be my first imported character. Im also having trouble deciding between Male/Female. I know it doesnt make a huge difference but either way, if anyone could help persuade me then that would be a great help! Thanks.
Help Please?

All three classes are great fun with an assault rifle. I'd say go adept for the lulz. As for gender, pick the one you haven't done yet/the one you've done least.

You sure? Every time I see a ManShep with the Widow, I think he's compensating for something...Zulu_DFA wrote...

Men who need compensating do it with handguns like Desert Eagle, etc. But rifles... they are like girls, only better.

That actually makes sense. I say that the classiest of gentlemen use revolvers, though.Zulu_DFA wrote...

Like Jim Raynor. He's a hick, but a classy hick. (Oh, StarCraft, you and your sweet, sweet anachronisms...)
Anyway, adept + assault rifle = unstoppable. Then again, so is any class if you play it right.

If playing Male, play paragon. Female play renegade. This is nothing to do with genders being good or bad, but merely as to who nails the specific paragon/renegade lines better with the voice acting.
Jennifer Hale sounds great renegade, but some of the lines for paragon sound forced.
Mark plays a great paragon, but again, cheeses up some of the renegade lines.
When playing an adept, i like going with sniper rifle training, just so you can scope in, and drop a singularity with pinpoint accuracy on the opposite end of the battlefield. I finished a femshep renagade vanguard playthrough last night with assault rifle, using the mattock. Lotta fun.
