It would be funny to see how batS*** tali fans would go if they didn't. Tali's mask is one of her defining characteristics.<br />
Also Tali: One of the many things the internet has ruined. I think shes a great character but her fans are just insane.

Soon to join the ranks of hentai lovers and the furry fandom.

No, seriously. That's how stupid it looks from the outside.

Having relationship with Qurian is not very rare in ME universe, which means somehow their real look should at least "acceptable" in many ways to human and other races. A predator-look Tali will never be true and most likely they are similar to our face. :)

Oh really? To get a Quarian to even think about showing you his or her face a lot has to happen beforehand. Whoever romances one cannot be in it for the looks (except for members of this community it seems). Personally I think they should leave the helmet on and the rest to the imagination of her fans. They'll only disappoint people otherwise.
IF they have to show the face anyway though, I agree with those saying that they should not give in to horny teenagers who imagine her to be some kind of fairy. The image posted on the first page seemed accurat enough for example.

Then again this whole "quarians take off their masks" thing has been a massive fanservice to begin with. The way they were depicted in the first game and even the second novel something like this seemed pretty much impossible to begin with so who the hell knows how far they'll go with it...

I don't mind either way if they show it or not I love her voice she's got a great voice I kind of don't need a face to associate with her. Like I know Garrus by looking at him if Tali is talking even if other Quarians were dressed like her I'd still be able to recognize her now a silent line up you got me there I might just pick the wrong girl but voice wise I know her and I kind of like it that way.

Though seeing who she is and if she really does have the Riddick eyes I'd love to know. I don't imagine her being too human looking but I don't imagine space elf, troll, or blue skin being from avatar actually I'd hate if she looked like one of those cat people....

I was thinking she might look more like this: http://features.cgso...94339_large.jpg

Or this with longer hair:
http://starbaseatlan...chianaauto6.jpg

I'd be more interested in BW telling / showing me why the Quarians eyes glow and why did the geth need lamp heads? The Quarians talk so little in detail about Rannoch and other worlds with their glowing eyes I figure their worlds are similar to the one of pitch black where its dark most months out of the year like dark for 10 out of 12 months so the eyes see really great in the dark environments and so forth also I've notice the few Quarian buildings we see are built into caves and go under ground I'd like to know why this is was it for protection from monsters on their dark worlds or what?

and of course I hate those dumb suggestions where people are like Tali should be dead before we see her face!

If we see it I want it to be either a powerful love moment or she gets to Rannoch and finds out they can breathe the air really well and if she takes off her helmet she won't get sick very badly I'd like her to be helmet free during Rannoch if we go back a second or third time if not suit free in some type of Quarian casual wear if we dock at Rannoch 3 times during the game after we get the world back but so you know BW her casual wear mode is only while in Rannoch cities if we leave for sidequest taking place outside of the city then she's in battle gear but I'd say helmet off or at least give her a toggle option not synced to players.

And player could run around Rannoch completely helmet free (but they'll get sick and have compromised health the entire time w/o helmet) will take long time to recover health gradually as a result but if player where helmet all times while not in decontamination room they'll be ok. I'd like decontamination rooms available so players can toggle off helmets for all non Quarian crew members. So we either see it being decontaminated or someone says we decontaminated this room so you can have helmets off here human, Turian, Asari, ect people.

EDIT: Another idea for Bw if they don't show her face could be if a second option for an extended love scene shows up and we get to see what color/ if she has hair and how long or short it is and I'd imagine tasteful shots of her shoulder being exposed to see her skin color and of course possibly a shot of her back or lower rib hip bone area not all soft porn but honestly who hasn't seen far worse in the suggestive category on daytime tV? Basically suggestive but tasteful shots that show what her skin color is, what her hair looks like, and body frame.

I like to keep the air of mystery in her appearance, but still give us a tease of her appearance or any other quarian.

[Edit: Bah, link busted]

It was meant to be an image of a partial smashed open helmet, anyway. It would be perfect for an intense combat scene and a nice tease to see maybe... an eye and some surrounding skin, but not much else.

I was hoping that we would see the Quarians walking on their planet without the need of the suits. That would be sweet for my Shep .... Tali has been a good friend, hugely responsible for Shep receiving Spectre status & Saren losing his, Shep meeting Liara, not to mention her absolute trust and support even when Shep worked with Cerebus, so it would be nice to see her smell that flower.

I'm sure I already commented on this but seeing her suitless in ancient Quarian wear would be neat while she's on Rannoch. I imagine after we get Rannoch back it goes like this after world is declared safe to enter ie no hostile geth or reapers on it then the fleet goes sends ships down the Normandy is there too to witness the event and shep takes a shuttle Tali, him/herself, and possibly two other crewmembers to touch down on the world. All Quarians it is stated over the radios are instructed to keep suits on and helmets sealed all non Quaarains are advised to do the same due to potential health risks.

We get to Rannoch see the cities maybe even what was once the main hub station for the world. Sense Quarians are few they'd land and live here to start and as the numbers grow move into the other cities, towns, and villages throughout the world. Tali is happy but is sad she has to keep suit on for this trip but we as the players are told research has begun and if we come back the suit sealing for Quarians maybe lifted later. So in game we come back again and as we're landing Rann talks over our radio saying Tali can finally be suit free it is safe for her but all non Quarians must stay suited due to plant life creating a hazardous effect to them if the spores are inhaled. So we get there meet an unsuited Rann in admiralty appropriate wear she says she is no longer an admiral but is now part of the council of this world only if war breaks out will she be admiral again. She says Tali has a house that she picked and we go to see it.

Tali's house is not just a house but a welcome home gift for Tali and all her work she's done for the fleet so it's pimped out with all sorts of tech, a small lab room, bedroom, and guest suite. Shep and crew elect to stay the night in the suite while Tali gets use to her home. Here is where Tali gets civillian clothing and we get to see her face in CG detail.

Players can explore the suit interact with crew and go to Tali's room/home thats attached we find out her home is now able to be used as a info station and a place where she will make exclusive items for shep, ship, and reaper defense. Like the SB the more we come back the more there is here for us to do see and get.

Quest will also be available from the new residence of the city from fetch quest that take you off Rannoch to other Quarian colony worlds to hopping in the mako and driving to other cities and towns to discovery family treasures and fight unique and crazy wild life. Shep also doesn't need to be on quest to go outside main city and explore in mako or on foot we get a sandbox type of field to play on here and can explore a few towns and go inside places too.

I would personally like a crysis to happen where sheps mask is broken or he gets a ruptured suit he notices the rupture but shrugs it off saying his cybernetics should help so they can finish this mission. Tali is obviously upset by this puncture and is careful to stay close to him. Mid mission shep starts to react to the exposure negatively players get a bar like we did in ME showing hazard levels they need to rush to complete the task if they beat the bar they're sick and rushed to Quarian hospital for treatment if not and the bar maxes out shep collapses. Both get panicked ME2 style wake ups but if shep maxed out health his health bar is low and he has difficulty moving. Sick shep is alittle wheezy but will be fine. We can also have shep and Tali LI development as well as shep personal chara development.

All I can say is that for the sake of immersion alone, you'll have to see Tali's face in 3, even if you restrict it to Shepard's who are in a relationship with her.
I don't care wether I like her appearance or not, I just want/ need to see it.

Anyway, Quarians can't look to bad, based on the fact that you see a few hints at other human Quarian relationships. It would be pretty strange if they looked ugly to humans.
You can also see, that they have some sort of nose or beak (God, I hope it's not a beak!) ans they have big possibly glowing eyes.
There bodies are at least as humanoid as Asari's except for hands and feets and from wearing their suits all the time, they probably will have pale skin color and no hair.
Alternatively they could be furries, because if the race is covered in fur, the time since they lost their homeworld won't be enough to let them loose that attribute.

Personally, this is what always bugged me about the ME series. The galaxy is soo high tech, yet having face masks which one can actually see trough or automatic fish feeders are somehow impossible to get 0_o.

Skipping 10 pages of posts so maybe this was already pointed out, but some pretty wild assumptions in pages 1-8 about what Quarians may look like. Has anyone read the Wiki?

Quarians are generally shorter and of slighter build than humans. Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts; they also have three thick fingers on both hands which include a thumb and an index finger, as well as three toes on each foot. Their lower legs are bowed backwards significantly, compared to asari or humans. Aside from hands and legs, their general body shape and sexual dimorphism is similar to humans. Their ears or ear analogues differ in a noticeable fashion from those of humans, with references made to "what [passes] for the quarian version of an ear".

No mention of an exoskeleton, scales, forked tongues, no lips (how could she kiss Shep passionately when she pounces on him? Did she just mash her face into his?) or razor sharp teeth.

Sounds to me like they are more or less human looking, trapped in suits due to their weak immune systems.

I support showing her face. Get it over with. Don't let the Talimancers down.

Thanks.

Nothing to do with being a Talimancer, I have to force myself to choose anybody but Liara, yet I still want to finally see Tali's face (although after the long wait, it will almost certainly be a letdown).

Oh and I'd love Kasumi as a Squadmate and LI for ME:3 as well, she's awesome.

Im not a talimancer by any means but I agree with many of you saying that It would be nice to see what a general quarian looks like. I fully agree that Bioware probably wont show her face just look what bungie did with Master Chief they never showed his face, even though everyone wanted to see him

I just stumbled over this thread, and as I read this post, I couldn't help but mention this:
If you read the Halo Novels, particularly "The Flood" you get a general description of the Master Chief.
There is enough information contained in there to draw a face from it.
He would look a bit like "Sarge" from Quake 3 Arena, albeit younger.

Now with Tali, we don't even have that.

I'm not a Talimancer, though I like Tali, but I think it would take away from the mistery that surrounds her if they just blatantly showed her face.
Though I understand the want to finally see her face... and who knows, maybe we will if the Quarians manage to once again live on their home world.

I know people say that her mask is a defining feature but it would relieve the build up of two games.

YOU WILL see most of tali's face. Some is obscured by lensflare.

She's actually very pretty, even by human standards.

Would post this in the ME3 thread, but don't have my game copy yet so don't have posting rights...
