As much as I really don't care that much about Tali, I'd still be down to see her face after all of this. Maybe you will if the Quarians get their planet back. Maybe the Geth will sacrifice themselves for the greater good or something.

What? No! I am anything but a Tali fanboy. In fact I want her to look as ugly as a predator. I want Shepard's face to melt.

Why not? Well, I like the mystery of not knowing. As soon as you see it, it takes away that mystery. Some people assume Tali is a pretty looking, almost human crature. Others assume she is more alien. Once that choice is made for you by the team, then it is set and cannot be changed.

For me, it is like when one of my favorite books gets made into a movie. No matter how good the actors may be, how well they read the lines, how suitable they actually are to play the role, they never quite live up to the mental picture I have created after years of loving the book.

Still, as I said, it isn't up to me, so we'll see what happens in ME3.

I follow alongside those supporting we never find out what is behind that mask. While I do believe the mystery is one of her most compelling character elements. I am partial to deriving much amusement from Talimancers blowing a gasket over never knowing what she looks like.

Suffice it to say, we will have to open a sob and rage thread. The former for if any of our beloved squad mates take a trip down perma-death lane (Indoctrination angle and if it is Garrus, my lord, the sobbing) and the latter for inevitable screaming. It shall be glorious!

Intresting point but I must admit I would like see what quarians do look like . It doesn't have to be Tali.
When the ME3 credits are rolling and they ended up not showing what at least one looks like I think I would be a little disappointed. My imagination must be lacking in this department Wouldn't be a big deal for me though.

An excellent reason.

Part of the quarian mystique and Tali in particular, is that we don't know what they look like.  They're humanoid, but not human.  but how not human?  We've seen almost a dozen alien races with greater or lesser degrees of humanoid appearance.  Presumably quarians are this side of hanar on the human-ness scale   But the wondering and speculating is really all part of the fun.

And in the end, does it really matter what she looks like?
