For me, it is like when one of my favorite books gets made into a movie. No matter how good the actors may be, how well they read the lines, how suitable they actually are to play the role, they never quite live up to the mental picture I have created after years of loving the book.

Perhaps...but you still want to see the movie.

I'm not that interested in Tali, but I do want to see her face. I simply don't like being teased...e.g. I also thought that the ending of the movie "Inception" was *reallllyyyy* cheap.

Be brave Bioware and do it. After reading these forums they should know they won't please everyone and they shouldn't let fan backlash stop them.

I like Tali and all, and I want to see her face... I don't care what she is, but it's one of the missing pieces of Mass Effect... I'd rather see BW do it than not

i still say the best way to go about this is to have the option for either scenario available to the player in the game and let him or her choose for themselves. it's about the only way the company can appeal to both sides of the fence at the same time. now as to how one would go about implementing it in the game is a little beyond me to be honest. lets face it, you'd be pissed if the convo wheel just popped up saying "romance scene showing face" or "romance scene hiding face." would detract from the scene in oh so many ways. but, that's just my view on the matter.

I really adore this picture. If we do see Tali's face at all, I want it to be along these lines.

I doubt very much it would be like that pic. Qurians have scales, and the girl in that pic doesn't have any. Plus that girl looks just like a human.

I am a Talimancer but I do not want to see her face. Especially if it turns out as horrid as that thing on the first page, or that fanart that so many love.

Leave it a mystery, because eventually most people will end up greatly disappointed with the way she looks.

Casey, Mac and the rest of the team will make the final ruling, but I hope they don't.

Why not? Well, I like the mystery of not knowing. As soon as you see it, it takes away that mystery. Some people assume Tali is a pretty looking, almost human crature. Others assume she is more alien. Once that choice is made for you by the team, then it is set and cannot be changed.

For me, it is like when one of my favorite books gets made into a movie. No matter how good the actors may be, how well they read the lines, how suitable they actually are to play the role, they never quite live up to the mental picture I have created after years of loving the book.

Still, as I said, it isn't up to me, so we'll see what happens in ME3.

Though I see your point and understand the logic (even agree with it), still I have to disagree with you. Yes it might ruin the fun, due to what we imagined might be not as designers/writers and so on saw it. But Quarian face was a topic of discussion for very long time.
By not revealing their face, and Talis face, you will keep a major plot hole opened. Thus Mass Effect trilogy will not be ended in fans minds. Thus by not showing Talis/Quarians face in order not to ruin the hopes/dreams of fans, you will ruin the overall experience of the trilogy by not doing so. In my opinion ruining a game experiences and hopes that we had so many years is much worse than ruining just single moment of showing a face.

It's not like anyone will open a fan war just because what we seen is not what we expected, personally I was expecting a different Shadow Broker, but your version is final and in the end i liked it. Same thing will be with Tali/Quarian face.

god i hope not, the disappointment by some fans will be heard even if you're not on the net - someone's nose is always put out of joint in situations like this - BW can't win - better to keep her face hidden.

For what it's worth I really want it to be revealed as well. As long as it's done right it has the potential to be a really poignant moment. We've lived with that mystery feeling, which don't get me wrong, is a good thing, for years and years now. A reveal just seems like a natural conclusion and would actually leave me pretty dissapointed in pursuing the romance otherwise.

Well, as you said... you can't make all the fans of the same opinion, unavoidablely even if BW keep hidden the Tali's face there will be a lot of fans rampaging for that. Someone will be disappointed whathever will happen. Personally I have to admit that I'm curious, but until she'll continue to be characterized as well as she is actually, seeying her face is just a secondary thing, a bonus, even if a welcomed one.

Well i finished my fifth playthrough a couple of days ago. It was the first time i pursued Tali as a romance, and i was really bummed out that we didn't get to see Tali's face. So yeah i would like to see her face in Mass Effect 3 and they better show it to us or else :bandit:.

The problem with this is, it doesn't matter if someone chooses not to see her face in the game.  Someone somewhere on this forum or else in cyberspace will spoil it for them.  Guaranteed.

I think the following two options to address this topic are best for Bioware:

1.)  Bioware decides what Tali/Quarians in general look like and put it in the game.  Simple as that.  It's just like any other decision you make regarding the game, you please some you disappoint some.  I guess the kicker with showing her face based on how Bioware sees Quarians is that Tali has the most fanatical fanbase (not to sound redundant).  As in Tali's fanbase seems to be extra critical of things as opposed to non-Tali fans.

2.)  Not show Tali's face, but show what other Quarians look like.  You can at the very least partially please everyone this way.

Personally, I think Bioware needs to lay down the fist and show her face.  Bioware:  come up with what you want Quarians to look like beneath the mask if you havent already done so and implement it into ME3.  This is the final game of the trilogy, don't leave use hanging on what Tali looked like the whole time!

oh believe me, i know.  frankly, i'll abide by whatever bioware decides to do with this, afterall, it is their game.  bioware can't appease everyone, and people will be critical of either outcome, there's no avoiding that.  and you're right, the tali following is downright fanatical.  i'll admit, i'm guilty of being a tali fan.  just not to the extent that is prevalent around here.  my stance on the issue, i kinda move between both sides.  i wanna see tali's face and will be jumping for joy if/when i see it.  but if i don't, it's not like i'm going to grab a tire iron and stroll down to my local fast food joint and vent on helpless customers.  i'll probably just come to this forum, write something along the lines of "well crap.  that sucks.  but, still leaves much to the imagination!!"

Or...

Miranda: Shepard, we now have access to the Reaper gene machine. What do you want to do with it.

A: Destroy it

B: Salvage it

C: Call Tali

Shepard: I pick C. Tali! Bring the Migrant fleet here. I have a few modifications to give to the Quarian race.

Tali: Shepa...

Shepard: Call me God.

I'll have to put in my vote to see her face. I might be surprised by what I find, but I won't be disappointed. It's Tali, and It doesn't make a difference whether she's pretty or not or how alien she is. My Shep will still love her. Been through to much with her for it to matter. Besides, Bioware would be throwing a great cinematic moment away if they don't. You see Shep will have to enlist the help of the migrant fleet to help fight the reapers, but they'll be reluctant to get involved. Shep will then likely have to solve their Geth problem for them to send their fleet into battle. This will also mean making peace with the Geth and getting their help with the reapers too. This will open the possibility of the Quarians and Geth solving there differences and the Quarians might get their home planet back. It would be very touching to see the Quarians set foot on there home planet after two hundred years and have them all take their masks off. The Reapers are just the sort of threat which could allow them end this war with the Geth.

Beautiful! art and totally plausible that she looks like so :)
I really wanted to see Tali face in ME2. Then the romance scene came and it was like a hit in the stomach for me. WTF!!
The more they hide it the more I want it to see. If they don't show it I will be royally pissed .

I think it should be simple...

If you choose to romance Tali...BAM! You see her face... If you dont romance her, well then you don't see her face.

@ Saren100's picture....I believe I saw that before somewhere here and i have to say, I LOVE IT! Its much better than that one i saw where Tali had a Predator face. It made me cry....

I used to think that it was important to keep the mystique, but not anymore. It's like a plaster, it might hurt when you pull it off but the longer you leave it the greater the anticipation and pain, you just need to quickly yank it off and be done with it. Think of this: if they show Tali's face no doubt the forums will explode with rage over what they choose, but it will then die down as people come to accept it and realise that it's done now, whereas if they keep it hidden in twenty years time we'll still have threads begging Bioware to show it us, and disappointment over how we never got to see her face.

Keeping his face hidden worked for Bobba Fett because he was a badass and you weren't sure what race he was or if he was even human. Tali isn't a badass, and you know she's a quarian, there is really no reason not to know what she looks like. Keeping her face hidden is just cheesiness now and irritating rather than intriguing, and the longer they leave it the worse the response will be, in my humble opinion of course.

Oh, and I hope she looks really alien, I mean more alien than Turians! We already got one alien babe race (the asari), and if women can be attracted to Garrus and Thane there's no reason us males should be left out of the freaky creature-lovin' club!

just wondering, I think all of us are curious about how she looks, I got so disapointed when I did Romance with her on ME2 and I saw nothing! :(

Dissappointed isn't the word I'd use. I wanted to tear an arm off. But yeah we deserve to see a Quarians face, doesn't really matter to me if it's Tali or not just a face and an explanation on if that's how all Quarians look. And if it is, Tali she better look hot
