What would his/her final line be?

I'm hoping Shepard says "I should go."

It should be one of our choosing, a fitting way to close the thing out.

I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions(Shepard then falcon punches Harbinger)

True, but it might ruin the moment for Shepard to be on the verge of death, and then suddenly everything freezes until you decide what line you wanna go out with. Plus, we didn't have a choice in what Shepard said in Mass Effect 2, should he end up dying. I wouldn't expect ME3 to be any different.

O i c wut u did thar.

Honestly, if he does die, I think the game should generate a line based on your shep's physch profile and morality path.

Why does your age matter? Everyone cries, no matter the age.

Don't let anyone tell you they don't.

Shepard already died. That makes any future deaths much less impactful.

So, I imagine the line would be something like, "Miranda, prepare the lab!"

I know it don't matter.  I'm just sayin I'm big enough and ugly enough to take the flames :D

yeah, I love Mass Effect.  yeah, I love Cmdr Shepard, so yeah,  if he dies at the end of such an epic series of games, damn right I'm gonna get emotional about it.

Unfortunately you are right...

Regardless my Shepard is dying in ME3 in his battle to stop the Reapers. Death makes a character's sacrifice even more important. It can also be the "salvation" of the anti-hero.

I loved Garrus death although I can never bring myself to kill him in my playthroughs. "I guess I won't be there to be with you at the end Shepard...snipe one for me will ya" Awesome lines...

I don't think Shepard would have any regrets if that death achieves in the defeat of the Reapers and it depends who is with him.

It would me more along the lines "Help rebuild this galaxy and don't forget me (my example etc.), will you?"

If it's LI throw something along those lines "I love you, wish it could have been another way/wish we had more time".

I hope they make Shep's death really dramatic and emotional to overshadow that "fake" death in ME2.

True, but considering the Reapers are going to be in the middle of destroying the galaxy, I don't think there's much time to rebuild Shepard.

Shep will need to hold up his hands, look at them and say "useless".

Don't know about ME3. If Shep dies at the end of ME2, I think we are to assume that his/her body is unrecoverable, and that his resurrection was a one-time thing.

"Take my blood! It's the cure!" Okay, joke lines aside, if Shepard kicks the bucket, he/she needs a simple line like "Man, that's painful"

He should have a nuclear warhead (that some how equalss the power of a supernova) bomb strapped to his chest (similar to lotr twin towers when the oraki runs straight into helms deep, yes i was obsessed with lotr sense an early age and bioware needs to make a lotr an rpg) and he runs into his enenmy and blows up. Ok i'm sorry. This idea is horrible.
