That' s just it.  It's kind of pointless to have Shep die again depending on how you played ME2 of course.  I mean, I know the odds are moe stacked against you that ever before with millions if not billions dying on Earth but my Shep didn't come back from the dead only to be killed now.  S/he has a galaxy to save and gosh darnit s/he's going to "Reap" the benefits of his/her actions.

But seriously, the supernova bomb might be viable.  The whole "dark energy" question might be something like that or as I sometimes speculate, the Reapers are eventually drawn around the Citadel which is blown up and hopefully taking them out with it.  So yeah, a really big BOOM might be how the Reapers are taken out.

i can see it now.  if you saved the collector base, the following could happen: when Harbinger shows up on the screen, Shepard proclaims "Your base are belong to us!"  if such was the case, i'd go back and save the base just for this alone.

True, but it might ruin the moment for Shepard to be on the verge of death, and then suddenly everything freezes until you decide what line you wanna go out with. Plus, we didn't have a choice in what Shepard said in Mass Effect 2, should he end up dying. I wouldn't expect ME3 to be any different.

Maybe, but Shepard is our character.  If the last line was predetermined it would ruin the moment far more than a brief freeze in dialogue.
