So i did not save the collectors base in the final mission, and that pissed off the illusive man, so i was wondering what would happen in Mass Effect 3, would there be a boss fight between him and Shepard?if so that would be really epic. We have yet to see what the illusive man is really capable of.

I have a feeling Cerberus will have a much smaller role in ME3

A conversation between him and a Reaper would be incredible.

At least The Illusive Man believes in the Reapers....unlike one certain Turian on the Counsel I know!!!!!!!!

Killing/Capturing TIM accomplishes nothing, Cerberus will go on indefinitely because it resides in all men.

Ideas are bulletproof Mr. Creedy.

Well maybe after he dies, Miranda could take over..or maybe even Jack now there's a woman who will have some ideas of what to do with Cerberus.

Something tells me that the Illusive Man will survive ME3 no matter what. He is just too complex of a character to kill of right now as I see Bioware using him in future ME Spin-Off games.

I agree with you, majesticjazz, about the use of the Illusive Man. At least for one non trilogy game.

First, the Illusive Man really isn't the villian in ME3...hell, he wasn't even the villian in ME2...just some shady business man.

Second, the Illusive Man is just too complex of a character to kill off because of "fan demand". To me, Liara/Kaiden/Ashley/Wrex will be far more epic in ME3 than Tali/Garrus because I think by adding those two in ME2 was a case of Bioware "Going to the well one too many times" and that was all because they [Bioware] wanted to please the Tali/Garrus fanbase. With that being said, I really hope Bioware does not do the same thing in ME3 and somehow even give the option for him to die. Hell, I don't even want Cerberus to fall under in ME3.

With that being said, this would allow Bioware to have some plot assets to use in future ME games. Not saying there will be games based around Cerberus/Illusive Man, but it would be cool to have Cerberus/Illusive Man play minor or major roles in future ME games that takes place after ME3.

Damn, I hope there is not a choice of either killing or having him locked up, what about us pro cerberus fans, without him, your precious main character would be a smear on some ice planet, or the ultimate human goo in the baby reaper. Humanity would be lost totally along with the rest of the xeno life you all love so much.

Paragons just dont get it. Your liberal love everything attitude would of led to our extinction years ago in the ME universe

TIM is a crud dude no doubt, but let's not forget

1) You're alive because of him

2) You stopped the collectors ( so far) because you were alive

3) He gave you the Dossiers of your squad

4) It's because of Cerberus that Joker can walk.

5) New ship

6) The council ( the first council died in me1 for me) REFUSED to meet with you after YOU saved the Citadel, and it was Cerberus who gave you the resources you required

7) Jack would've STILL been in that cell.

8) Garrus would've died.

9) Grunt would be who knows where

10) Tali would've died

TIM is cool with me right now lol lol.

Plus I wanted Intel. I gave him the base ( also provides for a great story). We can learn a lot from it and gain more tech/history/weaponry.

He is a necessary evil at this point in Mass effect. I would not kill him but Cerberus and its should be turned over to Alliance to be dismantled as they are a destabilizing agent once the whole Reaper thing is through and through. He's kind of like the whole Koran burning thing, his actions could cause and unnecessary war that gets a lot of humans killed. Also, I want the base I gave him destroyed after ME3.

BAM!

TIM rocks! I did what he wanted in ME2, but not for his reasons. I intend to kill him and take my rightful place as the leader of Cerberus. Come on Bioware, let me take over Cerberus if I'm Renegade!

he is not bad. just think about this. without Cerberus, Shepard couldn't even be alive. TIM supported him all the time. of course, he tested Shepard for few missions for real value because he was still doubt. but it was proven in ME 2 as you know. TIM will help Shepard to defeat reapers no matter what you were blowing up collector base or not. he has a big challenge. but after ME 3, I feel that he will be more dangerous in terms of humanity for aliens. but I believe that he will keep the balance. he can't just do whatever he wanted before. situation has been changed. shadow broker died, and Liara took his position. shadow broker is the most powerful one in galaxy. TIM will not face with her bad way. it will be more likely cooperation.

My theory would be he is some kind of minion or mastermind of the reapers in disguise and the collectors are actually a necessary evil as they were trying to destroy the reapers. I can't expand on my reason without spoilers, but I am probably wrong.

But if I'm wrong then I'm happy with beating down TIM for making disingenuous assertions.

TIM plays a massive role in ME3...It would make no sense for him not to. Just think, besides Shepard which other human is the most dedicated to defeating the Reapers? TIM...

Dont forget we are on his ship...still being run by his crew...I dont see the Normandy being destroyed a 2nd time...

In ME2 everyones excuse for leaving was the ship being blown up....I honestly...man...im just curious as to what ME3 holds...I dont see it as easy story wise to send everyone else their seperate ways again like they did in ME1...Shepard recruited all of these people for a mission...one that is not over...Why would they leave? I know they probably will for the sake of new members...but idk how they are going to do it

I agree that not all of the squad mates will leave, but from what I can see Zaheed will prolly be gone because he just joined your crew for the money and the chance to kill his old buddy. I can see samara leaving just because she fulfilled her obligation to you after the suicide mission. Kasumi will prolly run off and steal some tvs or somthing LOL.
But heres to hoping that Garrus will still be there( I dont see why he wouldn't, hes my wingman).

But I agree what you guys are saying that TIM is to importaint of a character to kill off. atleast before the final chapter of the game.

Starting scene in ME3, TIM finally goes out to catch some fresh air and get some D vitamin (he got tired of supplements, just wants to buy his own salad and catch some sunlight) and BAM! He gets impaled by dragon teeth and turns into highly evolved husk with shiny blue terminator eyes. After murmuring something like - apathy is death - he goes back to the base and leads Cerberus, in eternal hiding and eternal struggle with his inner-reaper. lol

As I want to see it: TIMs based is on fire, explosions everywhere. He runs in panic for escape pod, with explosions coming from every turn. Alarms are going loud, and everything is lid in red light. All pods are either broken or used, he screams in anger, then he sees one pod left at the end of the corridor, he rush towards it, but suddenly from the corner near that pod comes a heavily armed Turian platoon.

TIM trying to brake his run and turned around at the same time, then he falls due to this and crawls away from the Turian platoon. Tim is braking, and almost crying because all he was working for is ruined, all bases are under attack, bank accounts are locked and Citadel strike teams in combination with Alliance special force are taking down all Cerberus members all over the galaxy.

The smoke in front of TIM is getting thick and he can't see whats in front of him. He still can't lift himself up on his feet and thus continue to crawl all on four. Soon he bumps into boots of Shepard, who is backed by Garrius and Grunt. Grunt releases empty thermo-clip from his shotgun, that falls near TIM. Shepard slowly lowering his pistol to TIMs head. TIM in tears squeals to let him go, and mumbles something about greater good and that he didn't want so many civilians to die and so on and so forth.

Shepard say: "End of the game *TIMs real name here*!" and unload a clip from point blank into TIMs body.

**And this is how I want a Paragon option to be**

I would like to see him in the final fight. I'd love to see a load of Cerberus vessels unexpectedly arrive to aid the Alliance and Shepard in their darkest hour. Maybe he'll seek the path of redemption.

TIM had such a role in ME2 where he has got to be important in ME3. I imagine Cerberus has something planned to help combat the reapers. Certainly he has more going on than Shepard's little operation.

Of course he had more going on...things that failed miserably.

I just want to lock him in a room with Jack and Aria and let them have their way with him.

You know what? You're right. Jack and Aria are bastions of morality and deserve to extract their purely righteous vengeance on TIM.
