Didn't see a thread based only on this and wanted to start one.  A few questions for the devs to start off with:

1) Is the UI in the video final?

2) Does the UI scale for higher resolutions?

And general discussion:

I think the UI looks bad.  The video was great and made me very happy overall, but the UI was a clear negative for me in an otherwise great looking video.  For one the clean and modern style does not fit the DA universe, but perhaps more importantly the UI looks HUGE!  That big fat bar on the bottom and the massive health and mana bars for the characters is a real eyesore.

I hope this was placeholder UI.

I'm kind of curious why some of the icons are hexagons and some are diamonds.

My guess is that diamonds are activated skills and hexagons are sustained.

Correct.

The lack of an unlock icon, the lack of visible slots beyond the abilities we currently have, and the addition of potion slots (which to me, indicates that we can't place items or abilities wherever we want on the action bar), are what worry me.  But like I said, I'd be happy to be proven wrong about this point.

You can move icons around. Why else would there be that large stretch of bar past the icons?

Guys, when I say "It works pretty much like Origins," I say it so that you can guess that if you could do it in Origins, you can do it in DA II.
