[ACC3SS]

Hi all,

Today I realized that I did not have enough Mass Effect related merchandise. I've got clothes, books, comics and posters, but that simply wasn't enough.

So I decided to start a little project. An easy one, too! I wanted to have Shepard's dog tags on my bedside table. Then I can pretend that Liara gave me a present!




Simple padded backing wrapped in fabric. I plan to paint the frame silver. I initially chose black because I have a number of black frames in my room, but I regret that now. Rather keep to canon.



The tag reads:
5923-AC-2826
L SHEPARD    (my character's  name is Luna)
ALLIANCE N7



Anywho, just thought I'd share.

PS. BioWare needs to make more Mass Effect merch.

Hahaha this is totes cute. Where did you get the dogtags? I know most key places can engrave them.

I went to custom engraving places called Things Engraved. I originally planned to have another line stating blood type and religious preference, but at $0.90 CAD a letter it put me over budget. I wish I had known that key places do engraving, too!

I'm pondering other way to Mass Effect-ify my room. I've got an aquarium... A worn-out N7 helmet would be tough. So would ship models. Perhaps a random shiny orb?

Oh, I know. I need a portrait of Liara!

Picked it up from Ikea a few years ago. It's branded "Ikea / KLAMMAN" on the rear. The backlighting only comes on when you press a button. Good for insomniacs like myself who would otherwise stare at the time all night

I bought silver paint today for the frame. Planning to sand and put primer on tomorrow.
