Casey Hudson sat down for a chat with IGN about the PS3 version of ME2, and called it the definitive version, link can be found here: http://www.ign.com/v...video-interview.

I certainly hope this isn't a sign of things to come with ME3.

Your not helping your cause Bioware. It's like your trying to give reasons for people to feel cheated.

Their cause is to make money and not caring about what fanboys think.

I don't think its a big deal. If the didn't give us the DLC, a little something upgraded, and Interactive comic then we should be paying $20 instead of $60. I think its fair.

Hopefully as a 360 owner I won't get the shaft when ME3 comes in some way. I know how buddy-buddy EA and Sony have become...exclusive DLC or something will not be nice =(

Besides the DLC being included from the get-go and apparently some minor graphics improvements, are there even any noticeable differences between the 360 and PS3 versions? What's more definitive about the latter?

Oh, PS3 has the interactive comic, I guess, but the 360 has ME1, which seems like the better deal.

Jesus christ, God forbid they actually improve it whilst porting it. Nah, better they just leave everything as it was, wouldn't want to ****** off the other fans now would we? /sarcasm
Grow the hell up people and stop acting all butthurt. It's been a year, of course they'll improve the game whilst porting it, it would be stupid of them not to fix things they want to fix. <_<

Their cause is to push they're product and make it sound as good as possible. And they'll pull all the corporate douchbaggery they can. Like them nerfing the 360s' graphics and comparing it to the PS3. I didn't hold them to high standards, but that's embarrassing.

It has all the ME2 content in its most polished form? Seriously... I think a lot of you guys are reading too much into this. BioWare would have to be scrubs if ME2 for the PS3 isn't the BEST ME2 they could make.

God forbid they improve upon their game, given the opportunity.

This.  This is my greatest worry. And Casey Hudson saying things like this isn't helping matters.

Perhaps the PS3 will be the only port with multiplayer?

The game is coming out a full year after the Xbox/PC release, why WOULDN'T it be polished? This means nothing for the xbox/pc players in regards to ME3.

the new rendering sounds nice. Jade Empire Special Edition got dozens of upgrades, tweaks and exclusive features when they made it for PC. no need to get all uppity because they are improving the quality of their products.

It tends to be the PS3 which gets the short end of the stick on multiplatform titles though. As for exclusives, its a load of **** and I hope EA realizes this and doesn't pull that crap with ME3.

But I mean it's just minor technical improvements, right? It's not like the content is actually different in any meaningful way. The only thing definitive about the PS3 version is the technology or presentation, not the story or gameplay.

But if it is like Jade Empire why shouldn't PC or 360 gamers get the same such list of improvements down the road in a "gold edition" or whatever.

I don't care if it looks better in the PS3. I'm happy with my Xbox 360. The only thing I want is the "exclusive" dlc everyone comments on. I hope BW is successful in landing us the good stuff.

Just to clarify: I don't care about the graphics, the interactive comic, or Zaeed, Kasumi, etc. being included on the disc. But when Casey Hudson goes and starts touting it as the "definitive version" it makes me worried about ME3.

I really don't see how they could give exclusive content to the PS3 crowd for ME3. Thats just too much of a stab in the back.

The paranoia that runs rampant on these boards really goes into crazy territory sometimes. It really makes one wonder about some of the people posting here.

It's the definitive version because they just finished it. They've done fixes and improvements that they wanted to make with a year's hind site of the previous versions. They took the opportunity to run it on the ME3 engine which accounts for some of the improvements.

What they've done here is get the PS3 up to speed as best they could to the 360 and PC versions. This means NOTHING and I mean nothing looking toward ME3 except that all 3 versions will be on equal footing and exactly the same.

All these delusions and fears of some mystery "exclusive" content coming to one version or the other is just silly, IMO. If there is anything exclusive it will be something like armor or a weapon or something and certainly nothing involving anything to do with the main story.

I am a freakin' nut for this game and I'll be double dipping on the 18th. :)

But I like weapons and armor. That is still enough reason for me to be paranoid. Plus the fact that somebody is trying to hunt me down.

I think the worry here is justified. The PS3 has gotten exclusive content before, like Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum or the exclusive Copernicus missions in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Granted, those aren't EA games, but the precedent has been set. It all depends on whether Sony is willing to shell out cash for PS3-exclusive content. If EA and Sony are really on such good terms as an above poster has said, it's likely they would, in which case we should be worrying about ME3.
