The game is coming out a full year after the Xbox/PC release, why WOULDN'T it be polished? This means nothing for the xbox/pc players in regards to ME3.

Wait wait wait wait wait...

So when I purchase a game when it first comes out it SHOULDN'T be polished??  I should approve of DLC as a means of extending a game when the content SHOULD be in there to begin with??  Wow.  Really?  I just don't get how a year after the games release means that the game should now be polished and nice instead of when I spent my money when I originally bought the game.

This is a dumb statement.  Technology becomes better every year as well as developers improving so it would make sense to improve the game.  And to all you 360/PC fanboys, it is really stupid to think that Bioware would be loyal to the 360/PC fanboys and make a really horrible PS3 port on purpose and forcing PS3 players to pay full price for the game and DLC that is released for a while now.  Try running your own company.  You'd want to sell and make as much money as you can for your company no matter what it takes.  EA might have forced Bioware to make a port or they wanted to make it volunterily but this shows you Bioware is a good company/developer when they take the time to get it right instead of making a lousy port like what 99.9998593048% of the other developers do.  I am disgusted at you fanboys who cry about this not being fair.  You guys are probably the people who laughed at PS3 owners for losing DMC4, FFXIII, etc. then not buying the game, you guys just wanted to see PS3 owners suffer from losing huge exclusives.  Well now pay back is a **** and PS3 took your best exclusive.   I got a 360 btw.

I didn't preorder from Gamestop either.  I never got that black hole gun that was exclusive for that.  Why did Bioware turn it's back on all of it's loyal customers like that?

On s somewhat serious note - if you buy the PS3 version, you may be able to download that one.

I don't have PS3, but what I looked from trailer, I did not see anything bad. They incuded ME1 major decissions possibility and most DCL's from start. I think that's good thing. I don't know what the hell this has to do ME3, because those stuff is there because PS3 and because Bioware never gonna make ME1 for PS3. Seems like resonable solutions, provide best what they can for PS3.

As someone who has bought ME 1 and ME 2 for the 360 and who plans to buy ME 3 for the 360 as well I can honestly say that don't mind this at all.  Of course the PS3 version would be improved over the 360 version.  BIOWARE has a new and improved engine with which make the game and the better hardware of the PS3.  I certainly wouldn't expect BIOWARE, a studio that is known for always trying to maximize the quality of their products, to ignore the opportunity to make the best game they can just to placate me.

You guys feel cheated because you got the game earlier before DLC even came out? C'mon. This stuff happens all the time and I'm completely fine with it. I have other complaints about Bioware that are actually legitimate, and this is not one of them.

I have ME1 and ME2 on the PC, but i plan on buying it for the ps3 as a late xmas gift for my brother, who was never able to experience the awesomeness of Mass Effect.

Also, as much as i loved ME1, i find myself playing it now to just get through it with the few decisions i want to import (paragon, renegade, love interests) rather than enjoying the game in general. I guess i played it so much that I've just about done everything. So if they made an interactive comic for the PC, i would more than likely use it.

No, its not a dumb statement.  They have been using the same graphics engine and everything all the way through, and I understand when they perfect the look to something a bit more, but I'm not just talking about the graphics.

The PS3 and 360's technology hasn't changed in the past year.  It hasn't changed at all.  Don't tell me that things have changed so much that the PS3's version is that much better.  It's not about rabid fanboi~ism that you seem to think it is.  I don't care if BioWare does a great port to the game.  ****, I wish I had the interactive comic, because I think that thats pretty damn cool, but what I don't think is right is that you have Casey going on about how the PS3 is the definitive version and people poping up and saying "Well its a more polished game now".

Thats like saying that this years model of a car is vastly greater to last years model because it comes in different paint choices.  Really?

Also, you're disgusted at fanboys of BioWare and Mass Effect but yet you go so hardcore on the PS3 its stupid.  I didn't care when PS3 got ME and I didn't care when the 360 got rights to any games that used to be Sony exclusives.  I do actually work in the business and I understand how exclusivies can ruin things and bring in a business less money and less interest, or bring in companies more business.  Hell, I bought my original Xbox just because I wanted to play KOTOR games.

You PS3 hardcores need to stop thinking the 360 people have problems with the PS3 version because we're rabid fanbois and see things from our side of the fence a little more.  It was the 360 version that won Mass Effect all these awards and now we're looked at like the red-headed stepchild.

The way i see it it works out about right, ME2 for the 360 is alot cheaper now so you can probably bye it + the dlc on live for about the same as they are selling it all together for the ps3. 360 will always be the best console to play Mass Effect on however for one simple reason, mass effect 1. Sure the comic might be wel done and all but given the choice i would rather play the full 30 hour long epic game any day. Graphics might also be abit better on the ps3 but its nothing huge or unexpected. The game being on on disc is also a bonus but seriously, if you cant be arsed to get off your backside and swap a disc once or twice you have bigger problems than which version of a game is better. Basically chill out dont worry and be happy :)

No, it was a dumb statement.  While console hardware may not change year to year, the game engine does, becuase every iteration requires more work.  So, usually the engine it only changed between games, because changin mid-development would overcomplicate the process.  The engine has been updated for ME3, so BW has decided to take advantage of that for the PS3 version of ME2.  All that "red-headed" stepchild crap is paranoia based on a few isolated jerks who spout pro-PS3/360 trolling.

Contrary to popular belief, the reason why many 360 owners are upset has nothing to do with fanboyism.  The reason being is that we had to pay for the DLC and WILL STILL HAVE TO PAY for the DLC on top of the game, even when the PS3 version comes out squeky clean with the DLC included.

I have not heard BioWare saying the DLC will be free for 360 owners, while it will be for PS3 owners.  I don't care that the PS3 is getting ME2, all I care about is not being ripped off for supporting the ME francise since 2007.   To many, continuing to pay for DLC that will be free for PS3 owners is a slap in the face.

1.) Buying the Collectors Eddition on the Xbox 360 costed 60 to 80$ out of the gate. So for them to sell the bundle on the PS3 for 60$ is a rip of to all Xbox users - they should either give the Xbox/PC users a refund for all the DLC they bought or they should do SOMETHING to compensate for it. I don't care if the PS3 got the game "at a later time" the Xbox/PC users came first - we paid first - we were their income on the game - we are the fanbase - that isn't fair in the least because most of us can't wipe our ass with hundred dollar bills.

2.) People aren't ""Immature"" for being pissed off about BioWare/EA pulling this ****. It's like if Halo suddenly went to the PS3 - sold a bundle pack of Halo 2 / 3 / ODST / Reach and all the DLC in between for 80$ - people would get reasonably upset. When you port a game to a different system it's usually a same-console-transfer or a next-gen-transfer. Like how Resident Evil 2 went from the 64 to the Gamecube, they should have polished it instead of remaking it for the Wii. However, the PS3 and Xbox 360 are in the same level - and they shouldn't be getting anything that the original console didn't get - like how they get free **** for paying 60$ which I might add WAS sticker price baby in the first few months? How ignorant and bias is that?

People have every damn right to complain about a great thing suddenly turning sour. I mean look at it! There are the Xbox / PC people who are very reasonable and try to work together for the best, then you have the ungreatful PS3 frick wads who just ruin it all by calling everyone else out just because they get special treatment, and the Nintendo people just chill and ignore everyone hah. Point being - the PS3 is getting treated like the Golden Child; they get something we already had - but they get free stuff that we paid for. It isn't right, and saying it is right is just stupid.

((Edit)) --- DO note I am NOT starting a Console war nor am I calling anyone in specific a "Fanboy". I am mearly pointing out facts that have been slowly building up over the months/years. Do not take this as a little fanboy war thing - it isn't. I simply give a damn about this great franchise that is Mass Effect and I hate to see it ruined.

You do know buying the 360 version+DLC now is cheaper than what the PS3 owners will be paying to get the same content, right?
