I think we can agree Mark Meer is not a bad actor, but his depiction of Shep is a bit mono-toned and for lack of  a better word, dull. Who would you cast in his place?

Nathan Fillion for me. He is a great actor and did a fantastic job as Buck in ODST(even if the game was meh) He is great with emotions :)

Sam Elliot....oh wait wrong genre. I would have to say Russell Crowe. If anything, Jennifer Hale doesn't do femshep any justice.

Oh .... ummmm ... depending on the kind of Shepard, either Gerard Butler or Nathan Fillion

EDIT: Ninja'd by Mr. House ... I agree!

It's called deadpan. A character who's been thorugh a lot would indeed talk like that and Mark Meer's renegade performance is perfect. In fact, most voice actors tend to overact. Mark Meer's performance is one of the most natural in the series.

If it isn't Meer than why not get Nolan North

he is doing every other game character out there. Might as well have him do ME as well.

Why does the femshep defense force always feel the need to bash Meer?

Anyway, in my ideal videogame, every character would be voiced by Steve Blum.

Yeah, one of my main problems with Femshep is that Jennifer Hale is about as threatening as a kitten trying to claw you. It isn't intimidating, it's adorable, and the idea that aliens from across the galaxy shudder in fear of my Femshep is so distracting that I exclusively play her as a Paragon.

That sentence does not make sence

Unless there is a differant voice actor for every race portrayed theres no way for one person to sound multicultural.
