The item ID for Ancient Elven Boots is:



gen_im_arm_bot_med_elv



It's very easy to find in the toolset. Just go to the Items tab, open _Global->Armour, Boots->Medium->Unique and it's the last one under that folder.



I think you need to create a new script to be able to add it to your player, though. The stock createitem script creates items based on an ID number, and I'm not sure how to go about getting that. Don't think it would be able to spawn boots, anyways - looks like it's only for spawning weapons.



Just make use of the CreateItemOnObject command and GetHero().

Not sure I want to mess with the game seeing it's rather unstable as it is (at least for me - I often get some starting glitches or long loading times on "virgin" game).



But sadly I was uanble to get them from the cabinet 5 times now - there's only 1 lyrium potion and 1 health poultice there. It would be great if you could fix this BW guys :)

i dont see why anyone would want those boots. there are much better pieces of armor in the game...

Stats isn't everything in a game. Personally I'm an achiever, I want to do it all. If something can be done, I want to do it. And other reasons are pure roleplay reasons. Really, if there's not any point finding items we might as well get the best armor to begin with and then not find any mroe armor at all. Right? But that's no fun...

By the time I got to the Brecilian forest, I had light armor that was better than that set.

But for role-play, yes. And for cool factor, yes!

Apparantly someone made it work by editing a save in the toolset: Ancient Elves Boots

Although in his post he names the item wrong, it should be: gen_im_arm_bot_med_elv

I'm actually trying to add the boots to the cabinet directly so you could toss the file into the override (if that works) but everytime I try to save this bastard file it crashes the Toolset for me, so I guess it's not meant to be, it's just not meant to be. By Duncan's Beard, this is very, very annoying.

Honestly spent hours with a friend looking for these boots, hope to heck they add them in for us PC users soon. Though it will grind my gears that they are in Lothering, ahh well, time to go editing them in, thanks to everyone for looking this up.

EDIT: My Toolset crashes whenever I try to save it. I think it's due to my language settings as been mentioned in threads, but even the solution to that doesn't work for me so perhaps someone who actually live in the US or somewhere other than Sweden could give it a try.

I want the armor set because I'm a rogue and I'm not going to be wearing the heavier armors and this set has some very good defensive bonuses.

It has an error in it but might work if you use: gen_im_arm_bot_med_elv
Instead of: gen_im_arm_hel_med_elv

I've had a look at it, but it's a poor solution if you can add the boots to the cabinet where it's supposed to be right from the start.

That damn Excel processor simply refuses cooperation, I'm certain the script works, I just can't get it to load automatically as long as I can't generate that damned GDA file...

Someone in the Toolset section is helping me with a plot script that adds the Boots to the cabinet as soon as you enter the Chantry, but he will need a couple of hours he said. Brilliant though, by tonight we might have it working! So unless Flaming Jesus manages to get it working, perhaps AND04 can.
