They don't read this mess, players are having to fix content for them what makes you think they'll be reading this post passed page 3? And this point we're so far down in the forum dungeon that all we will find down here are trolls and creatures of flame and shadow.

I just had a random encounter with "elven scouts" wearing complete Acient Elven Amor and the boots do in fact look "flat". Question Answered.

Can you make one that places them in camp?

(I would, but Bioware advised not to load the tool-set if we use SP2 :/ so until thats fixed or I upgrade im screwd. I know SP3 is free, I can't use it.)

If you use the version by AND04, it's in the same project, it will give you an item if you have already passed Lothering, that item will give you the boots if you use it. This way you will get the boots even if you missed them in Lothering.

i encountered another problem after Leliana speaks to you about Marjolaine and you get jumped while travelling when there is a cut scene and you talk to Leliana the game crash just like when you first meet Leliana since i did nt saved lately lost over one hour of gameplay i know it s my fault that i did nt save often but im gonna get rid of that thing and wait for Bioware fix instead , thx for the try tho

You know, just have it active in Lothering while entering the Chantry and getting the boots, then turn it off. There's no reason to have it active after or before that. AND04's version gives you an item which transforms into the boots, so just use the items, then deactivate the mod.

you all did knew that the boots were found in the crossroads, when using dogs search ability right? (pc version)

There's a new version that hopefully fixes the problems, but it's not uploaded yet. :/

But if that's not it, I really don't know what else to do, the script shouldn't run anywhere else but in the Lothering Chantry, that's what the GDA file is there for, it's not supposed to interfere with or overwrite any actual game content...

I'm sorry for all those problems, but I'm running out of ideas as to what might cause them...

It's fine, the force load trick works just fine :).  Shame we have to do it on every new character, but it works just the same.

Now I'm curious about the Dog digging up the boots though so I'm going to spam it until I see if he finds one.

I never found the boots with the dog. Neither is it listed on any guide I came across.

What? I'm under the impression that it's not the Ancient Elven boots that he finds at the crossroads, but Effort's Boots.

I did notice that leveling up with Version 2 loaded, stat points counted as 2, but that was the extent of it. Still, even if I have to do a force load after the fact, this is much better than spending hours upon hours trying to find something that isn't there.





Hopefully a patch will make this unnecessary, but until then...

and where i could get that version? tryed looking kinda fast but did nt see it in his projects if you have a link it would be nice

It's not DAOriginsConfig.exe to run, but daupdater.exe !
Then, select the package Chantry_Boots.dazip to install it.
