Just interested :)  How many times and how did you play through?

Here's mine:

[all origins up to Ostagar]

1.  Human noble warrior - first playthrough, all goodie-goodie, romanced Alistair, saved the ashes, crowned Harrowmont, killed Loghain, Alistair broke up with me but in the end he took the final blow.

2.  Human noble rogue - merchant-like, reward-focussed mindset, romanced Leliana and Alistair, crowned Bheled, destroyedthe ashes, killed Loghain, ruled with Alistair after morrigans ritual

3.  Human male noble rogue - all baddie, romanced morrigan, destroyed the ashes, crowned Bhelen, pissed off Alistair (slept wiht Leliana too as well as Zevran), sacrificed myself to save ferelden

[ I did the saving Loghain variation here, too, just to have all endings]

4.  Current:  Female human mage, so far only on level 9,. pretty standard decisions so far, but plan is to romance alistair again (I know Im boring - its just that nothing about Zevran appeals to me, and there is really no other proper romancable character).  not sure how I will progress later.

As a side note, if it was up to me, Id make Sten romancable.  Just imagine the posh born, female cousland warden to fall for the rough, strong, dark skinned warrior ...swwwwooooonnnnnnnsss

Bann Teagan is not a bad choice for romance, either.  But failing that, Ill have to do with Alistair.

I've played every origin all the way through. The vast majority of my Wardens have been female. I played the Human noble all the way through as a man. I've also played through all the origins as a man (but not finished the game).

My favourite origin is, was and always will be City elf female. Easily one third of all my characters have the last name of Tabris.

Bann Teagan ftw! Just sayin'...

Ive never given the city elf origin much thought apart from just playing it through once. It didnt grab me then. However, since reading the forum / lot of posts from CE enthusiasts, I really want to play it through now - in fact that will be my next playthrough. Not sure if I should go down the "itter and angry, unfriendly little elf who just wants revenge on humans" route or the all goodie person who saves ferelden :)

It has more impact if you play as your father's little girl. But the revenge crazed death weasel has a certain intensity.

Playing the same content through more than a few times bores me to tears, even when there are detail differences, so I have pretty much kept it to a small handfull of playthroughs. Being a greedy biatch, I also tend towards rogues, so that I can loot *everything*, no matter where I go, even in the areas where you are forced solo (or stuck with just Alistair, though you can go back there later and clean it out).

The male human noble rogue is the only one who has gone with Morrigan to raise their child together (and make a few more).

I've finished two playthroughs and have another three in progress.

Finished it with an Elf Mage and Dalish Elf (Yes i like Elves) and have a Human Noble and City Elf playthrough still to do. I tend to start games then lose interest when i need to do Ozammar because i really hate that whole quest The game does get dull at a point anyway though my interest has gone back up since i started getting into game mods. It does freshen up the game being able to have more character creation options and have characters looking different and even added in a new party member with the mod to add Ser Gilmore, So i think i shall be playing the game for a while yet.

I have 22 characters who have actually finished the game
6 mages all female, one of each major school and 2 mixed, the mixed are the most powerful from cherry picking the talents.

10 warriors, 6 tank type, 2 dual wield (i found them pointless), and 2 two-handers, of the ten 8 are females. The only 2 male characters i have are human nobles to marry Anora, they also are my only two to choose the DR with Morrigan.

6 Rogue class i have again 3 follow the major talent types, rogue, dual wield and archery, and 3 that are mixed and again the mixed are the most powerful.

Yea i played alot but as there is 6 origins, 3 different pure builds and many different ways to mix the build, add into that not counting some differences due to the sex of the character, story choices there is quite a bit of difference possible, hence the many different plays.

Oddly enough i have only one dwarf noble and NO dwarf commoner completes. started a commoner as 23 but i finally just could not go again even i needed a break.

So many times I'm embarrassed to admit it.

Only finished one HNF run - I'm not a fan of humans. Most of my girls were elves. My favourites were dual wielding warriors and mages, but I've finished all the classes. My canon run is a DCF dual wielding warrior.

My romance partner of choice is Zevran. I usually make Alistair king. Towards the end of my playing time I started recruiting Loghain to kill the AD for me. Death got tedious ;-) If you'd like a breakdown of my canon choices:

Won the Provings (go dusters! - yeah yeah I know its not a choice but its still cool)
Recruited Leliana and Sten
Anulled the circle
Didn't defile the ashes or kill the high dragon
Bhelen crowned/anvil destroyed
Werewolves cured
Connor killed
Loghain recruited and died a hero on the AD
Alistair married to Anora

I think that's all the big stuff :)

I have finished it five times and I'm about to start my sixth run (which should be the last one for a while).

I've played the HN, Mage, Dalish, and CE origins to completion. I have also played both dwarves origins, but just that, never actually played the main game with them.

I have played my HNF twice, and this sixth run is actually a replay of her as I intend to correct her game in time for DA2.

My choices will be:
  • Recruit everyone (including Wynne, just to annoy her) and romance Leliana.
  • Use the blood ritual to sacrifice Isolde
  • Save the Circle
  • Lift the werewolves curse
  • Bhelen King/Anvil destroyed
  • Killed Kolgrim and the Cultists leaving the ashes unspoiled. Leave the High Dragon alive.
  • Anora solo queen, Loghain recruited, Alistair exiled.
  • Accept the DR.

I've got 30 characters, of which about 25 have cleared Origins, 10 have finished Awakening and 5 have done all the DLC's up to and including Witch Hunt. So, yeah, way too many times...

I've done all the different choices at one time or another, except US, which I just did once for the achievement and then reloaded and went with Dark Promise.

My usual choices are:

1) Save the Circle

2) Save Redcliffe and the Arl's family

3) Romance either Morrigan (if male) or Leliana (if female)

4) Side with Bahlen and destroy the Anvil

5) Have Zathrian lift the curse from the werewolves

6) Kill the cultists and the dragon and preserve the Ashes

7) Have hardened Alistair marry Anora and they rule together

8) Loghain sometimes gets spared and sometimes executed.

9) My Warden/Alistair/Loghain does Morrigan's Dark Ritual

10) Oh yes, I also recruit every possible companion, but get along best with Morrigan, Leliana, Zevran, Sten and Shale. My relationship with Alistair is usually friendly, but that depends on the Warden in question. I'm not too fond of Oghren or Wynne.

For Awakening:

1) I recruit everyone

2) Save Amaranthine

3) fully upgrade Vigil's Keep

4) spare the Architect

Many times for dialogue differences; currently playing a second solo run with a Mage. And I still find the occasional new line, or one I have not noticed.

This just never happens to me. With the exception of the two dwarves I created to see the origins themselves, I don't have any character left in the dust.

How do you find the motivation to finish them all? Don't you ever get bored somewhere in the middle of the game?

Well, I've only finished Origins five times because I've only created four characters (one played twice). So it's not like most people who create a dozen or more wardens.

And no, I don't get bored with them. Of course, if we were talking about 20+ characters, that would be a different story.

I don't know how many times I've played. Let's just say ALOT! I play mostly female and never a dwarf. I can't seem to create a good looking dwarf. I've been playing this game for over a year now and it doesn't get old.

One thing I ALWAYS do is kill Wynne. I just cannot stand her!

I prefer not to put a specific number to my playthroughs lest it cause me to realise something best left a mystery, hastening an inevitable psychotic episode.

If I had to guess? Around 20 maybe, only one of which was ever a dwarf. Which is a shame, as I actually like dwarves, but eventually miss having a character that actually fits into cutscenes correctly or looks acceptable without resorting to wearing Legion of the Dead armour.

It is not possible to create a good looking dwarf.  I tried and tried.  No matter what you do they end up fat.  I tend to want my character to be beautiful, so for the same reason I hardly ever play dwarves.

I just spent a week at my sisters where I played almost all night every night, AGAIN. (not much sleep).

So I created a new character here, and she is:

a human noble warrior (weapon and shield is indeed boring)

I did the cheap thing and undressed Jory and Daveth before the joining - they wont need their clothes afterwards. felt bad watching the joining though - it felt like the game was broken.

told leliana to get lost in lothering

recruited sten and tried REALLY hard to romance him even tho I knew I cant

went to redcliffe and LEFT before night fell, so the village was massacred and the only survivor was Bann teagan

annulled the circle AFTER SAVING all the mages (with the litany - weird choice I know)

killed witherfang. shes a tough fight

finally collected all the black vials (first time I was able to do that)

worked for Harrowmont but then gave the crown to Bhelen, preserved the anvil

recruited loghain, put anora on the throne

I've played through every origin and class and have had close to 30 run throughs. Of those 30, 25 have gone through all the DLC and Awakenings. I've only done minor variations with my characters but have focused on tactics more as I am not generally a tactical player but it is essential with this game. I've also varied my romances somewhat and changed the order of my quests.

I've only played as a male once through and that was because of Witch Hunt, lol.

I have never allowed any of my female PCs to become Alistair's mistress, kill Witherfang, save the Anvil, kill Connor nor done the US. The inability to do the US still bugs me and I'm trying to RP a warden who does it but so far no luck.

I've been playing since its release last year and didn't get seriously bored until about two months ago when I started playing Oblivion (old game, yes I know). Now I'm anxiously awaiting DA2 and have ME2 coming out for PS3 so I will have something to do while I wait :)

edited for grammar
