Agreed! I had to go pick two standing stones after I equipped it. The one that was active didn't register, apparently. But both will be recognized after you go to each stone you want, and activate them. Mage Stone + Steed Stone = win, for how I'm playing.Carcharoth42 wrote...
And pick the crown. The other options are only useful for decoration.

Edit: My Khajiit is traveling light in this playthrough, but I just started seeing Ebony drops, and wanted to gather a few before switching to something else. I equipped Serana with an Ebony Mace of Absorb Health, and an Ebony Bow of Paralysis, and the rest of the loot, I improved, enchanted, and stuck in a chest. I'm trying to get my Smithing up organically, but it's taking a while (It's at 75).
I haven't used the Lord or Atronach stones yet. I seem to be very much a creature of habit.
Oh! Total sidenote, but I was in the Soul Cairn last night, and finally finished up Saint Jiub's quest, and decided to spend what soul husks I had left (100, as I'd already spent 50). I saved first, then after a few tries, ended up with these spells from the merchant:
- Paralyze
- Grand Healing
- Rally
- Repel Undead
I'm not even close to those levels in Restoration or Alteration. Woo!

"Arch Mage or no, my rules still stand. I don't want to see you mistreating any of these books. Are we clear?"

I can't recomend turning a breton into a vampire. Bretons have a bug where they turn very dark when they become vampires. It does make that "You're as pale as the snow," comment hillarious though.happy_daiz wrote...
^ I haven't used either of my Bretons in Dawnguard yet. So many characters to run through it. That's good to know, though!

Giggles' Khajiit has decent-sized ones:
Maybe it's just a difference between Male/Female? I'm still curious to know if anyone else has made their female Khajiit into a vampire (via Dawnguard), and if her teeth are dinky like mine.Giggles_Manically wrote...

Besides the teeth he could pass for a regular Khajiit.

After how my Nord turned out as a vampire, I'd probably play my Bretons as Dawnguard, anyway. They're both too pretty to look like the unwashed masses. Heh. Although I must say, I reeeally like playing as a Vampire Lord. I never in a million years thought I would.Carcharoth42 wrote...

And the 2nd is I have an immortal horse, thats not shadowmere. Like I bought a horse in whitrun, it got killed by a dragon or giant, something. No big deal, so I wander around on foot, travel back to whiterun, and BAM theres my horse, needless to say I question what I've seen took the horse out and killed it, then went back to Whiterun, and that same horse was back, waiting for me. The only problem is and I've killed it a few more times to be sure, is that when you use it once you get off it walks back to whiterun and it won't fast travel with you unless your on it.

Also, Urag is the most badass librarian in all of fiction. If you die and never reload your game, it's Urag who defeats Alduin.

Tooth envy is very unbecoming of a lady.
The tooth hurts you could say.

So any places I should visit or things I should do before I buy Dawnguard? I'm sure vampires are going to screw a few things up.

Oh they're here somewhere. Always in the shadows, always hiding behind bad fan-art and proxies.
