I wouldn't bother too much about the rewards either, Astrid screwed my Nord archer on the wedding one anyway even though I did what I was supposed to. I think they're just a bit of extra money anyway, unless I'm forgetting something.

BTW, is there anyone else that's never had a dragon attack in a walled city? I've still never had one and wondered if I'm alone.

Since I never saw the wedding the guards in Solitude always talk about, I assume that's another Brotherhood quest? Iif I use the mass murder method in that quest I'll never be able to enter Solitude again.

I think there's a spell that lets you summon some legendary DB assassin. I never actually used it myself. Also some gear... that I also didn't use because it was worse than what I had.

As for the wedding, yes that is indeed a DB quest, and you can just pay your bounty and you are once again free to walk the streets of Solitude unmolested. Of course if you butcher the wedding guests it's not like they'll come back to life. That's Skyrim justice for you. The rich get away with whatever they want :)

Yep. Never happened in my games either. I didn't think it was even possible. Vampire attacks do happen in walled cities though.

Hell, in my last (botched) playthrough, I never even had a vampire attack in cities - it was unusual and a bit disappointing tbh.

Anyway, I prefer taking the "Agent 47" route during the wedding mission - push that crumbling statue over while Vittoria is giving her speech, then run like hell.

I always feel kinda scummy after killing her, though - she's pretty and seems like a nice person. But I have a job to do - Emperor Titus Mede II must die, and so must anyone who stands in the way or serves me to that end. It's only business.

I didn't have any dragon attacks in walled cities until my 5th or 6th playthrough, I believe. In my most current playthroughs, they happen all the time. Mostly in Windhelm and Riften.

Sometimes I think the load screens tip you off about when there will be a dragon attack. Most of the time, I get a dragon screen right before one shows up. Or maybe that's just me, having a divine influence on the world. Umm, I doubt it.

Pretty maybe, but good? I honestly think that if she was such a kind soul, she would have bought old Noster a shirt already. Poor guy's standing there looking miserable, dirty and probably starving.

Come to think of it, I think they invited him to the wedding just to show him all the things he can never have.

She's obiously quite a monster. Wouldn't feel the slightest bit bad about gargoyling her.

It's not her responsibility to clean Noster up - also, the wedding was a public ceremony that literally anyone could attend.

I think you're just trying to find a reason outside of the contract to justify killing a pretty lady with a sweet personality, when you could just as easily do like I do and be an unfeeling monster who kills people for cash. :P

Alright, fair enough, you got me. I like making up excuses for my murders.

Well, thinking up reasons can be fun sometimes - but other times you just want to be a greedy sellsword, a homicidal lunatic, or just a plain ol' spiteful ass (my personal preference).

It's like that Dunmer farmer out on the roads who's always going to Solitude to join the Legion - even if I joined the Legion myself, or don't get involved in the Civil War to begin with, I still kill that guy simply because he annoys me.

Just started a new playthrough to finally play the Dark Brotherhood questline for the first time and honor Gogron gro-Bolmog with my Orc assassin!

Is it possible to use his modus operandi (no stealth, just brutal mass murder) or will I break the quests with that kind of behaviour?  Should be pretty hilarious if it's possible. Dual wield axe murder for the win! :innocent:

Just have enough money to pay off the bounties and you'll be fine.  After the wedding quest my first playthrough I had like a 20,000 bounty .  Just don't bribe the guards - that won't clear the bounty.

Oh. Good tip I read earlier in this thread: If you do the thieves guild quests first, dealing with the bounty is much easier and they won't snatch your stolen items when you pay.

Personally, wish I had killed the groom; simply another Black-Briar shill. But the bride is quite fine; delicious actually. My vampire prefers vintage bloodlines....

I've got vampires on the brain, weirdly.  :D

I actually tasted the blood of a PhD. Tasted like any old blood to me. No, I didn't do anything illegal :)

Ahem. Getting back to the ehm... matter, I can understand why you'd remember such a classic game. In turn, Bloodlines reminds me of Futurama. I'm sure you can guess why.

I better not get started talking about Bloodlines or I'll never shut up. So many of Smiling Jack's best lines would be heavily censored here though. So many great missions though, the Ocean View Hotel, probably the only time a game ever truly creeped me out without just resorting to giant spiders.

But Skyrim talk, yeah. So at least I'm not the only one missing out on dragons inside walled cities. Maybe in a later playthrough, hell I've got like 14 characters and I've only played 6 to a great extent.

As for the wedding, I always push the gargoyle during her speech and sneak away. There's a great bit just along the wall heading towards the blue palace where you can jump down to a balcony and then hop down the rocks beside the arch between the market area and the path beside the graveyard. Then I generally just stroll away with nobody having noticed I was the killer. That's what you get for giving poor Evette San such high taxes to bring in her shipments.

I enjoyed the DB story line.

Showing that the DB can get anyone from pauper to prince.

No, just the irritating Al-Qaeda vampire attacks if you have DG installed.

Meh, just leave her be - she obviously likes Skyrim enough to play it, even if she complains about it all the time.

I still miss the Morag Tong. The Brotherhood is a tad to psychotic and cultish.

There is only one Cult/Brotherhood for me and that's the Brotherhood of NOD! Sorry DB... you're just lacking Joe Kucan!

Oh... and if you get lemons, no matter what the Brotherhood says, you have to build combustible lemons and burn down lifes house. There's no way around that simple fact!

You're like my evil twin! I have 14 characters, and have gotten pretty far in about that many playthroughs. The rest are all less than level 20.

Do you have any photos of them? This thread could use some color. Image IPB

That's something I always wonder. Why do people like that Dark Brotherhood so much? To me they just seem like a psychopaths piled together killing for some god entitiy and some burnt woman's corpse. I like assassins guilds as much as the next guy but I dislike that the Dark Brotherhood kills for more than just money.

My introduction to the TES world was Oblivion, so I don't even really know what the Morag Tong is. Sure, I've heard the name thrown around, and I can easily read about it in the wiki, but I don't have any firsthand game knowledge of it/them. I do know that Saint Jiub mentions it in the Soul Cairn...
