PS: It seems the comments section has devolved into a flame war. Morons.

LOL. It's YouTube - the collective IQ of every person there is probably a grand total of 3.

It's probably Judgment Day over on the Beth forums, too - no one hates Bethesda more than their own fans, and with something like this you can bet it's turned into a gigantic flamefest over yonder.

Now now let's not underestimate them. It's likely about 10 or so.

And suprisingly Beth forums aren't that bad though I did find this gem:
“bethsoft is dead"

Yeah sure mate.

A little bit.  There's some guy who's actually trying to compare Fable positively to Skyrim.  I poo you not.

So...a little something like this?

I'm sure the next DLC will probably be more story-related. Anybody know how many more they're planning for Skyrim?

I'd be just as happy to see the Dunmer kick the empire out, if the empire hadn't already made itself scarce there.  Knowing them they'll ride in to try to take over once the Dunmer have cleaned the place up on their own.

With all those righteous fury and laser guided karma the Argonians are just bringing to Morrowind, I think the Empire will have it's problems taking back what's left of it.

The Argonians were holding steady in southern Morrowind as of the novels, and that was a long time ago, so they might be gone by now. Somewhere it's said that Dunmer are returning to Morrowind.

New DLC?
Image IPB

Oh a month to wait still....
Image IPB

But hey its 5 bucks, and the option to build a house.
I even know where, right in the middle of Whiterun hold!

Though for my Dunmer? A HUGE ASS mansion overlooking Windhelm...right after he topples Ulfric.
Image IPB

HEHEHEH! Five dollars well spent right there people.

Meh, dlc sounds boring, great job taking a step backwards Bethesda. Though you learned from your stupid horse armor. Oh and another months wait? yay!

PC users shouldn't really complain about a month. They have mods that more than make up for it.

PS3 owners on the other hand...

So making a piece of DLC that's not storyline-related is taking a step backwards? I never would have guessed.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm excited about Hearthfire. Although I'll pass on the kids. (Umm, my Dovahkiin is too busy...yeah, that's it).

I wonder if I can just domesticate some wild animals as pets? Image IPB

Pets might be safer. I can't imagine my Moon-Born assassin or my Volkihar mage being an appropriate parent to a child; how would a child turn out after being raised by a Sithis worshipping assassin, or by an immortal follower of the Tribunal...

A bit torn myself on this DLC; not that much into the crafting part of the game, but being able to actually have the designs needed for a proper home AND to be located in the area of preference sounds worthwhile.

As for the children and family, until the romance is actually repaired in the game, I imagine I shall pass for my Dragonborns. However, I can see this home as a decent replacement for the orphange in Riftin, and helping all the kids of Skyrim as a worthy goal.

And the wait is easy on the PC for me; tons of modded Player homes are available if I tire of tripping on the stairs.

It is when the said dlc is
1:Not intresting
2::Should be free for what it gives(building a house for five bucks? Really? This is horse armor all over again.)
3:I can download a similar mod for free or download one of the many epic house mods, for free.

This dlc in my eyes is a waste of time. I was looknig forward to anothewr adventure. Not...this.

I'm always up for another DLC. I may not buy it, but more optional content is better for everyone in the long run.

I was hoping for something more exciting as well but I really don't care about it anyways, I can't get it either I don't have enough MS points and I'm getting a PC anyways so why waste money on something I'm probably not going to use on the 360. On the bright side, I think they said that only the first two DLCs would be xbox exclusive right? So hopefully the next DLC (Great War/Thalmor DLC I hope) comes out on all platforms at the same time.

Anyway if I were to build a house, I hope I can build it in Winterhold, Dawnstar or Falkreath. Those are the places that I find most interesting.

1 - One opinion does not equate to uni-lateral truth across the board.
2 - DLC designers have the right to wages.
3 - Only because Skyrim included a free Toolset for the PC.

And like with a good portion of most any game, the story is also on the shoulders of the Player to be told. It does not appear to be difficult to see a few varied ways for this DLC to to imagined into the current tales that are already woven into Skyrim.

That's pretty much how I feel.  I could see this as being part of a larger DLC, ideally one that expands on the civil war and Skyrim's politics in general, or has something to do with Nord lore.  I am not happy about Beth nickel and diming content now.

It not being interesting is a matter of preference, however you've got a point with the mods that are available on PC. I'll have to disagree with you on this repeating the horse armor thing because this will obviously add to gameplay.

I don't think it's appropriate for members of BSN to mock the Bethesda forums. ;)

I'm going to be drunk on the Haterade that's flowing here.

I remember a video where it was said that Bethesda brainstormed a ton of ideas before shipping Skyrim, and now those ideas seem to be taking form in DLC. I'm glad for that. And as a PC owner I have a choice between an official DLC, a player-made mod, and something I do with the Creation Kit. (Or all three!)

Actually hearthfire looks a lot like the build your own house mod, even down to the book with the plans of new stuff that you can add.

But in the mod I can add my own Daedric Shrines! Hehe... worshipping Sheogorath or Sanguine in mky own walls. And the Volkihar even destroyed the Vigilants so nobody will object!
