Orcs are awesome and have never looked or sounded better in TES. That Berserk ability is pure sweetness.

I'd love to play an Orc, but I have trouble playing anything other than a Nord - it's obvious that's the race the Dragonborn is "meant" to be, just like the Champion of Cyrodiil is "meant" to be an Imperial and the Nerevarine is "meant" to be a Dunmer.

Of course, I could just be too damn obsessed with lore and everything being "right" for my own good.

Speaking of tanked-up followers, has anyone else added on UFO (Ultimate Followers Overhaul)?  I am a total fan.  I had know about it for quite some time, but had been straddling the fence about adding it on.

Not only can you see the stats of anyone you add-on as a follower, you can have them train-up to you're level.  You can set them as essential or killable, and you can hire on as many followers as you want.  You can adjust several other items of followership as well.  Overall it's just a fantastic overall improvement to the follower system.

I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and have had zero issues.  If you hire on multiple followers like Mjoll, Lydia and Farkas, I definitely recommend setting the difficulty level to Master, to give you some semblance of balance (if you worry about such things), because a level 57 Dova with 3 or 4 levelled followers is, needless to say, quite the juggernaut.  UFO also works with modded-on followers as well.

Everything about each follower is accessible through the dialogue menu...oh, and you can issue mass commands to all followers in combat (accessible through the Magic menu which can be hotkeyed like shouts).

Yep, fantastic mod.  Without it, I would never have know, Aela was built for light armor, Ria for heavy armor and Jenassa could use a shield.

Can someone share their reasons for playing an Imperial or an Orc? I'd like to use an Orc or an Imperial one day but I never find a reason to use either of the two races.

I made an Imperial only to side with Tulius in the Civil War.

Well Imperials do get a little extra loot. And money always comes in handy.

The Emperor Voice ability is a GODSEND early on.
It can save your ass when you are getting beaten up.

RP wise its rather fun to play an Imperial.
Plus playing an Orc is fun.

Hell my main is an Imperial and he joined the Stormcloaks.

I RP that he lost his father, and older brothers to in the Great War as well as a few friends.
Then his mother and sister were taken by Thalmor Justicars.

So he said "**** you MEDE! I gave everything for this empire, and it took everything!"
So he killed ever Thalmor he got his hands on for 30 years, as well as any Imperial who helped them.

He was already a rebel before coming to Skyrim, he wanted to join with Ulfric.
Sure he felt bad about attacking legion troops, but he was going to have to crack some eggs to make a new omelette I guess.

I tried to play a neutral Dragonborn on a couple of occasions, but when stopped by the Thalmor on the roads of Skyrim and being told I "looked" guilty, it did not end well for their recruitment.

I once FUS ROH DA'd three off a cliff.

Ah good times.
Its such a shame they waste so many lives trying to stop one person.
They lost a civil war, they lost a few good agents, their embassy was raided, their main fort was taken out, and tons of patrols were lost.

What next the Dragonborn shows up over Alinor dropping laser guided bombs on them?

I can't play a Nord because then I'd have to pretend to know nothing about my culture. I just decided to go with an outsider as an excuse, lol and made it about 6 hours.

I agree that orcs look and play great! My first Skyrim character was an orc... an unstoppable two-handed juggernought. His enemies would usually die in 1-2 charge power attacks. Early on I found the speed of the two-handers troubling and was often in danger because of how slow they swing. Still, I loved the force effects of two-handers and enemies dropping on their knees before my blows. Later I discovered the Elemental Fury shout and started to do some serious carnage. But I eventually stopped using it. Weapon speed doesn't really matter when enemies die as you charge and slash them in two halves.

And that Berserk ability is borderline overpowered. Can easily change the tide of battles. The only issue may be bringing a damn dragon to land to see eye to eye - nice and personal - and actually using bererk to the fullest before it expires.

I think I'm done with my Cutlass Jack (Breton) character. I just don't enjoy playing as a guy. Image IPB

So I'm back to playing Ahdaira, my Vampire Lord Khajiit. She and Serana had a busy night: banishing Potema for good, meeting Septimus Signus, clearing out Alftand, and spent a bunch of time in Blackreach (then ultimately inscribing the Lexicon).

I'd forgotten just how massive Blackreach is. In fact, I don't think I've ever fully explored it in any of my playthroughs. Last night, I found a couple of places I'd never been to. They weren't huge or anything, but it was a happy little surprise. Such a cool place.

Besides playing an Orc makes you look cool:

He joined the Stormcloaks because he wants to spite the Bretons one day and take back Orisinium.
Mostly over a pile of their corpses.

Not a bad person but he still will do what ever it takes to get the Orc homeland back.

^ You guys have no idea how much you influence my gameplay. Now, because of seeing your Orc, I'm tempted to create yet another new Orc character.

Maybe I'll just tweak my second one at the face-changer in Riften. I stopped playing that one, because I wasn't thrilled with how she looks. Shallow, I know.

I love playing Burz.

Really nice person...he just likes hitting things with a warhammer.
And praising Malacath all day long.

"PRAISE MALACATH AND PASS THE AMMO!"

I've been wanting to do a hot female orc since I got the game really. But never got a look I loved. Mostly due to the hair. I probably should give that another go now that I have some decent hair mods installed.

Speaking of which does anyone have any good CC mods, they want to share?

I like NPC Face Unlocker. Gives me a good starting basis for creating a character that's lore friendly and finally I can steal Eola's look.

Not certain if this qualifies, but I saw this one on video and it looks well made. While I have not used it directly myself, I have used one of the outfits included from a lesser mod from the same author. See Immersive Armors vids I & II on this page:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/news/147/

I believe this one may be Nexus only; reason I only own the Dragonrobes portion.

Ed: Found a better link.

I don't use anything to make a male look any better, but this is one of the highest endorsed male facial mods on Nexus, if that's what you're looking for:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4141

For females, I use Better Females by Bella CORE files (and, while I may not use them, there are several Bella mods for different faces and make-up) with Caliente's Better Body Mods (CBBE) (again several available for slender, athletic or curvy figures).  I don't play a female in Skyrim, but just adding these on pretty much turns all female NPCs in Skyrim into stunning (or near stunning) beauties; but since I never play a female, I have no idea if either work within the CC.  Anyone know?  I asssume they do, and if they do...it would be pretty much a WOW for female characters!

I think Steam actually has all the mods for Bella and Caliente, so I would use the Workshop for those.

And just in case you're interested, this is a typical overhaul with Bella's Mods.

For faces, I use Xenius Character Enhancement (ie; XCE), and XCE: Dawnguard; appears to be quite helpful in making more realistic looks.

I use the subtle Xenius' character enhancements, but no complete overhauls like Bella's mod. I don't find the photoshopped look fitting for the Skyrim world, and find the females in the game looking pretty enough already. ;)

ApachiiSkyHair has some nice hairstyles included: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10168
but the textures don't match vanilla Skyrim very well. But I know found a retexture that seems to fit into the game much better: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15411

While that girl's face is pretty (and way too perfect), her hair looks like hay. Image IPB

I can't wait to build a house. I'm just sayin'.
