The Orc looks like some sort of half breed. I'm still planning on being a Nord, I'd like to see more weapons and equipment. Although its always nice to see what I'm going to be swinging my sword at.

yes, it's offline.

The pics are coming from the QuakeCon journalists - bethesda is sending them all the screens featuring the characters they created for Skyrim.

Racial Phylogeny... The Orcs just look more human this time around. Which is good. In Oblivion, they were melon-headed pig-men.

Good riddance. While good in theory, I always found it anti-climactic, compared to a rich spell library of DnD games for example. With effects named after spell creators, etc. Here all spells looked pretty much the same and usually worked similarly as well.
Hope they give spells more "personality" this time around, that they custom make each one of them.

Also these character images look awesome!

That Redguard pic looks it could be a framegrab from a Pixar movie - pretty amazing work for a game engine based on Gamebryo!
