Mine uses war axes which have no bound version (discrimination against Nords!!1!). When she got so she could summon dremora lords, that's when it started raising faster. She could just stand back and buff her nails while the summon did the work.renjility wrote...

It sure does. I got to 100 conjuration finally on my battlemage, but she's at level 50 which is where I usually feel a character has run her course. She's still in the high 80s for destruction.happy_daiz wrote...
And can I just say, dang, it takes a long time to level up Conjuration and Destruction organically, once you get to Expert level.
Conjuration goes a lot faster when you use bound wapens. My battle mage used a bound sword, and I think in the late level thirties or level 40 she reached 100 conjuration. She did not raise corpses, only conjured atronarchs (and later dremora lords).

My female Dunmer assassin was pretty sexy, if I do say so myself. I don't have any screens of her, though, so maybe my memory is bad.Haplose wrote...

I didn't realize that spell was Expert, not Master level (Conjure Dremora Lord). Sounds like my Khajiit will be taking a trip to the college to find Mr. Gestor in the very near future. He's also got Conjure Storm Atronach. I was wondering where that was!Addai67 wrote...

Exactly! I mean, what self respecting Nord would ever choose swords over war axes? And I certainly mean that in the plural.
Ah, I see yours is a TRUE Nord woman. Kicks all varieties of ass across the wilderness of Skyrim during the day, and buffs her nails by the hearth at night....or in the middle of combat.
By the gods, I love Nord women!

I agree. I've found the design of non-human races (and Mer in particular)
simply terrible in earlier ES games. Oblivion was a horror in this regard.
Skyrim is in a whole other league, so much better that you can't even compare. Come to think of it, it's amazing how much progress has been made in so many critical areas in Skyrim. Art direction is one, but the environment and level design is another area where you can hardly belive the same company made these games...
This rather confirms what I have seen a little of in some vids (have not played earlier TES games). Believe I shall plan to move onward; not backward in the series, at least for now. And I have a copy of MW around here somewhere, should I become interested in the past.
Well actually, everybody was "ugly" in Oblivion do too the putty-face feature. But the elves basically looked like different races of humans -- Altmer (Asian), Bosmer (Middle Eastern), etc. You might like it, lol.

@ Barbarossa: Nord women kick ass and keep the northern chill away.
Best part about raising conjuration to 100 is the master level quest you get from Phinis Gestor. I loved the dialogue with the unbound dremora. Dremora are so cute.

Dremora are so much cooler in Skyrim than they were in Oblivion. Of course, the Oblivion gates used to scare the crap out of me, when I first started playing it, so I made my husband do those.

I don't miss the age slider AT ALL. I didn't want to create a super young character, but on the other hand the aging effect was awful. Not as bad as when Hollywood puts a grey wig on a 20-year old, but bad.

Here I was walking around Whiterun hold.
Then a bandit runs past me making me wonder what was going on.
Then a giant ran right past me in hot pursuit.
They both go over a hill.,..then the bandit goes flying into space. That never gets old ever.

Too bad the Flame Thral you eventually get for it sucks. All atronarchs you summon nicely follow you, usually decently close. But this stupid thing always remains way behind. Shortly after I summon it, it's already gone. Somewhere. Meh.
J'zargo has to be really awesome, by the way. My level 41 character used him as a follower, and both his destruction and illusion skill were already 100! I never even see him use illusion.

Don't forget the Atronach Forge. Lot's of cool recipes and Daedric gear for mages that don't want to work a Blacksmith forge.

I didn't realize the recipes were composed of things so easy to acquire.
I will check it out, once I'm past my ridiculous OCD house-building addiction. It's a recent thing.

Thus proving the Skyrim space program is decades ahead of anything in other provinces. Within 5 years Ulfric Stormcloak vows to put a man on all the moons. Ulfric 2012.

Now that you mention it, they are really rare. I know there's one on the desk in the Midden that's near the forge, and I believe I found one in a chest once, but I don't remember ever finding another after that.
Same here, I only got one and it was for Daedric Gloves and that's it. I also could never be bothered to figure out the hand with the rings puzzle in the Midden.

That puzzle wasn't very hard as I recall... I know I solved it with two characters without much frustration, and that says something.
I'm currently in the Soul Cairn. Trying to find that merchant again now that I have 25 soul husks.

My main: Dragonsbane, Daedric Dagger, Staff of Magnus, Dwarven Crossbow, and Daedric bow.
Not counting his gauntlets and shield that can also act as weapons.
I still cant figure how he carries that much.

1 Daedric Fire Bow (just traded in my trusty Ebony Fire Bow)
1 Ebony Bow of Thunderbolts
1 Ebony Bow of Souls
Sword (Dragonbane)
Sword (Dawnbreaker)
2 x Ebony Hammers (Mod) [Fire andFrost]
2 x Daedric Swords (Frost and Fire)
4 x Ebony War Axes (Fire, Vampire, Paralysis, and Souls)
Ebony Warhammer (Fire)
A full quiver of (about 2000 now) Daedric Arrows
...and since we're including shields:
Skyforge Steel Shield (Mod) [Blocking and Fire Resistance]
Skyforge Steel Shield (Mod) [Blocking and Magic Resistance]
Eh, the way I see it, my armor's weightless, so I definitely have the room to indulge my inner weapon nut.
EDIT: Oh, and an additional set of combat fists/Two-Hand (+ unarmed damage and + 2 Hand Dam) gauntlets. This is the only additional set I carry since my always wear guantlets are (+45 Bow Dam and + 45 One-Hand Dam).
