Just listen for a bit.
The Dovahkin is basically an expy of Doctor Who.
Think about it.
You just randomly wander about the setting.
Picking up and finding random people from all walks of life who follow you around
You walk into huge plots and grand sweeping tales almost by accident
You cause massive amounts of damage and change just by walking around.
You always show up just in time to change something, or prevent a disaster.
The Dragons share a few similarities with the Daleks. Like both of them being scared out of their minds by only one person.
While it kind of comes of as flimsy you do indeed have certain things that overlap between Skyrim and Doctor Who.

2 ebony battleaxes
2 ebony bows
5 ebony greatswords
1 ebony mace
9 (!) ebony swords
5 ebony waraxes
1 ebony warhammer
4 ebony shields
And I didn't bother picking up the other stuff.
Whoever designed that deserves a raise!

Yes, powerful summons make all the difference if you aren't using bound weapons. My nightblade is using bound dual swords and he's already at 70-something at level 25. He'll be at 100 in no time. He looks so stylish wielding that purple daedric flame, I love it. Illusion is the one I'm trying to level him in, but Jenassa keeps ruining our sneak attack and so his Fury doesn't have the impact it could. But at least with Illusion you can level by casting Muffle.
He also walks around casting Calm on everyone. The reactions are funny. lol
You do realize that after Calm you can casually walk behind their backs, enter sneak mode and land backstabs?
Rinse, repeat as needed.

Just did Forelhost and I think it is the best crypt/dungeon/mini-quest in the game. The story is interesting (esp. the part with the children), the map is well done (and non-linear), the traps are legit scary, and it is hard if you save it for later - I met so many draugr deathlords, I walked out of there with:
2 ebony battleaxes
2 ebony bows

If I recall correctly that is where Rahgot is, surrounded by swarms of Deathlords...which you slash your way through...swarms...of Deathlords even to make it to his swarming chamber!
Fantastic dungeon, fantastic mission: "Siege of the Dragon Cult" given to you by that betraying scumbag Capt Valmir...who at least you get to extract a cold helping of justice from at the end!
Just happen to have a pic of my Dragonborn in Rahgot's chamber for posterity. Agreed, probably the most memorable side quest in the game. I carried everything out...in two trips...or maybe it was three.

Exhilirating!

Forlehost is the only dungeon in skyrim where you'll find spirits and draugr archers who drop quivers of arrows ranging from 90-100 in quanity per corpse.

I decided to go out on a limb, and make another attempt in one of the bugged houses (Winstad Manor, near Morthal). My plan was to only build the entryway, main hall, and bedrooms. My reasoning is that by having less to process, the chances of it locking up would be less. Well, after several hours, knock on wood, it still hasn't locked up. The house is plenty big as it is. I may still add a kitchen, but I think I'm going to avoid the cellar and two extra wings for now.
This time around, I only adopted Runa, and thought I'd see about getting a dog. I paid for Vigilance, and sure enough, he can be your pet. Meeko, too. If you have kids, they will run out when you come home, and ask if they/we can keep it. If you say yes, and that they can hang out with it when you're gone; then tell the dog to "go home", it will stay in the house.
I also tried it with the Dawnguard dogs. If you tell them to go home, they hoof it back to Fort Dawnguard. Ultimately, I gave up on having a dog, though. They bark constantly. Constantly! I did get a chuckle out of Runa, Farkas, and the bard Sonir saying "stupid dog", one right after the other. Then I reloaded. No dog.
So instead, Runa came home with a pet rabbit. She also comments that she's sure there are monsters living in the swamp (I agree). And I realized that Farkas does in fact sleep after you help him cure his lycanthropy. Hooray!

Gourmet Gaming tackled the snowberry/jazbay/juniper crostata from Hearthfire. I love that site. Such a fun idea.

LOL. Not sure I'd want Vigilance as a pet - the diet Banning put him on would make me nervous leaving him around the kids.
Pft DG huskies ftw.

They're better, for sure, but you can't actually have one as a pet, since they seem to consider Fort Dawnguard home.Char's Revenge wrote...

Ahh well, a fox or rabbit are considerably more quiet. We don't really need the protection of a dog anyway, considering that when my Redguard is away, the house will be protected by a housecarl (Valdimar), steward (Vilkas), and husband (Farkas). Some animal followers can be kept as a pet. Confirmed: Vigilance, Meeko, Sceolang(DG), and Bran(DG).
I was sad to realize that this was the playthrough where I lost Belrand and Jenassa. *sniffle*

Sometimes I even get that message if I am playing as a vampire, and Serana is with me. I can be in the next room, and the screen goes red. I don't get it.
That's weird, though. I haven't any issues at all with the house or the plot in the Pale.

The really weird thing is that that stuff doesn't start happening until after you finish the main Dawnguard quest. At least in my experience.
