Now I'm wishing I never saw a Skyrim argonian, because now I want to play Skyrim infinitely more.

Yeah I never seen the appeal in playing them before until now!!  They all looked very similar, however the levels of detail are great and make them very interesting.

I like their look more then the new Dunmar revamp.  May have to reconsider my second play race!! ^_^

Everything seems to be working fine.

Pre-ordered, 32,40 €. Not bad.

Will there be different body types or will even a (male) mage look like Schwarzenegger (twenty years ago)?

Yes there is a slider for body types, for all the races.

Body types? So I can make a big, muscular (Insert race here) to a fat one? Great, all of the bodies looked the same in Oblivion and Morrowind.

To add to an old debate, Bretons are indeed humans but with a lot of Meric blood. There is no such person as a "Hybrid" (Except for Jagar Tharn who was created before "Notes on Racial Phylogeny" was made. Most of the interbreeding was Aldmer men with Nedic women. Nords are indeed descended from Nedic immigrants. Sorry, but I needed to say something...

Has anything been said about height variation in NPCs of the same race? I loved that mod that made everyone different size. Never understood by Bethesda wouldn't use something in their own tool kit.

I'm kinda suprised to say this but I think that the graphics look really poor...

........ Most of the screens shown are from the console version. Plus, They even look amazing for an Elder Scrolls game. "Good Graphics" is not the reason I got into the ES series (Since Arena) and I'm sure there will be enhancement mods.^_^

Gawd gamebryo is an ugly engine. Didn't look at good at launch didn't look good in Fallout 3. Creation is much easier on the eyes but I'm still not sold on it until I see PC screenshots/gameplay.

They aren't outstanding, but open world games tend to have poorer graphics. Plus these are all funbox pics.

I have no idea how anyone can be disappointed with the new Wood Elf.

Skyrim has possibly created its greatest depiction of them, being in line with the Conan-esque influence of the game. But, people still complain. The only thing is I hope the black eyes return.

There is a roughness to the textures that I don't think has anything to do with their resolution.  It looks like a design choice.  It's kind of growing on me, but it did look a bit off at first.

I don't know...even for 360, there is a hell of a lot of detail. Call me a fanboy, but then again, take this picture as an example. Notice the new lighting tech and shadows. Implemented in the entire game. Notice the detail in the skin. In the feathers of the arrows and on the grain of the bow. Looks pretty darn good to me.:P

Inquiry: Do the races have bonuses and penalties like in NWN1? Or is is simply a choice of visual preference? Other?

Races have better starting stats in some skills than others. In the end, race really doesn't matter. You can make an Orc mage or High elf knight.

Thanks for the tip.

At a glance, the visual choices are fairly remarkable; just wondering what penalties will be for playing a Raksasha look alike in a Nordic culture.

Races had bonuses and penalties in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

The same goes for this game. To what extent yet, I think, is truly unknown. But my Bosmer was extremely resilient to disease in IV. Argonians can breathe underwater without a spell, potion or enchanted item. Just some examples.

They will be at some point. The same thing happened with a lot of ME3 new screenshots. They let the external media sites get some hits first and then a week or two later update their own sites.
