I think that was implied in Yrkoon's post. It also looks pretty wicked in the trailer. I wonder if we'll get to meet Hermaeus Mora in the flesh, and how this first Dragonborn is connected to him?

:o That would be way too epic though, could our systems handle that?

I'm not sure reality could handle it - it could tear a hole in the fabric of space and time and unmake the universe. O_O

For anyone who wants to watch the trailer in full screen and without having to sign up for one of those f***ing Google/YouTube accounts (like me), here's a link you might find useful:

Silver Lining for me is that the DLC will go to the X-Box first, allowing more time for to obtain more info and hype to gsin further interest. As of now, the only draw is upgrades to mounted combat, and while kinda fun, it is still better to dismount and leave the steeds behind in safety.

And the tales of new areas are good to hear, but personally am not fond of the Morrowind/ Wonderland designs. But I have not played MW, so will keep eyes peeled for further intel nuggets.

P.S. There is a link to the trailer on Steam

I don't know that the game takes place exclusively on Solstheim - some of the areas in the trailer look far too Morrowind-esque, so unless the climate of Solstheim has changed dramatically (which is entirely possible given the massive eruption of Red Mountain), part of the DLC might indeed take place on mainland Morrowind (likely the area around Blacklight) and possibly even Vvardenfell if the presence of Corprus creatures is any indication.

We might go to the coast of Morrowind. Would explain the ash places.

@Haplose - I strongly urge you to get Dawnguard - there is a lot more to it than just vampires, I assure you. There is a major revelation regarding ancient Tamrielic history that honestly makes the entire DLC worth it.

Also:

That has to be Morrowind - Red Mountain is too close in the background for it to be on Solstheim and the landscape is too similar to Morrowind. I can't imagine Solstheim's landscape has changed that drastically.

PC will probably be a month later, I assume, like last time?

Very likely. There was never any official statement about the Xbox 360 exclusivity deal being limited to only two DLCs, so people shouldn't be too shocked.

Woo! Also boo because I hate to wait an extra month.

Finally bought Hearthfire. Not really sure why. But hey it's cheap, and even if I won't enjoy the rest I will enjoy growing my own plants for alchemy. But getting married? Adopting children? Nah, I'll stick with my herbs, thank you very much.

...

A return to Morrowind? Are you kidding me? I swear they are trying to get me to overdose on awesome. Yes it's hype but it's the right kind. Morrowind is one of my favorite games, and Skyrim is certainly up there as well. Combine the two and you get.... Well, you get something that can't possibly fail (famous last words).

Yeah, that's...weird.

I do like the idea that they're taking it in a more "sim" direction, though. That seems cool to me.

I don't enjoy the "sim" part so much myself, but I think it's cool that the game caters to many playstyles. I have no problem just skipping that part; there's still much fun to be had without it.

I wonder if the Red Mountain eruption also spread Corprus disease since that's where the Blight originated from - it would certainly explain why there are Corprus creatures in the trailer. I still wonder why there's an Ascended Sleeper (I am 99.9999% sure that's what that creature was) in Apocrypha though - it is possible Hermaeus Mora may be connected to the Blight and perhaps even the rise of the Sixth House and events of Morrowind somehow.

December 4th can't come soon enough. My body is ready.

My body is broken, but my mind is prepared.

Even if it's a month later, there's always Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition (if they don't postpone it again).
