Tell you what: next time, why don't you just say "I don't like the story of the new DLC and would prefer something more to do with Skyrim politics" and just leave it at that, mmkay?

See now, clearly you got my point just fine!  Don't waste your efforts nitpicking about literal Oxford dictionary defined meanings of  ingredients when grand  flavor in your mouth is just  as intended. Mmkhay what is Mkhay is it even a real word omg I'm thoroughly aggravated by this, it ruins the credibility of your post.

Didn't you just tell me not to waste my time nitpicking about the meanings of words?

I still have yet to play anything other than a Nord. I'm kinda stuck on them.

I'd like to play a female Breton PC sometime, but their faces are much harder to make "right" than males are. I'm a perfectionist like that.

I'm still pretty happy with the way my female Breton turned out. She doesn't seem to have very pronounced wrinkles, even though I don't have that Bella's females mod thing that turns the women into photoshopped... creatures. Perhaps it's because of the Xenius' character enhancement mods? I believe they are a lot more subtle.

For such a tiny person she does look intimidating in combat.

I haven't played Skyrim for quite some time. I want to get back to it. My Breton is still somewhere in the Dawnguard questline. I haven't even finished the DLC yet. Breton is my highest level character - 44 now I think? But I have played my Nord a lot more after Breton finished the main quest. She is pretty badass too:

And a lot less nice than my Breton.:P

Now when you say mage, do you mean those people in robes that die in one sneak attack? Yeah, don't have too much trouble with those :)

You've got to interrupt the the spell casters, what kind of combat style did you choose for this character?

Melee character can use power bash (hold down block), Archer can use critical shot with Eagle Eyes and Steady Hand, Mage can use any low level dual cast destruction spell that staggers enemies, like firebolt or ice spike.

She is really nice-looking, and I love the white war paint. I keep trying other colors, but something about the white just seems...I don't know, prettier? Most of mine wear white. Posted Image

Yeah, she looks nice. I'll definitely have to try making a Breton female sometime - but right now I'm too lazy.

Well, the best way I've found to deal with those god'em spamming mages with a melee character is to ensure that you have a 100 score in blocking with elemental protection and shield charge, hold in cover for the right opportunity, put your head down and charge the $#!+ out of them. Oh, you'll interupt their spell casting alright, but you also get to knock them flat on their asses, and then leisurely finish them off with an axe while their laying around on the ground stunned and weak as kittens.

VERY satsifying, especially against those infuriating elemental necromancers.

There are other ways, as well. Good stealth combined with paralysis potions. Any encounter with powerful mages will then begin when *you* want it to, which means you're free to get the first shot in. Often times (especially if you're using a bow, and decent poison), this will be all it takes. If that first shot doesn't kill the mage outright before he even casts that first Ice storm, then he's been disabled. After that, you hit him again... and again.

No doubt about it that magic resistance is the most important buff you can get. Book of Love, baby. Spread the love. It almost makes the game too easy when you get a few magic resist pieces, since it also resists the elemental damage from dragons.

Yeah some good MR and you can literally wade through dragon breath attacks.

Except for Drain Vitality.
So I did the same shout right back at them and got a good laugh at them.

I used a 2hded Orc she was boss save for against Archers*cause like a ****** I didn't put any points into armor*

Anyway my advice:

armor: get all five of the perks that boost armor rating for your chosen armor this is very important as without a shield you'll need any extra protecion you can get if using heavy get everything on the right side of the tree if using light get everything in the tree

2hded: max out barbarian and get all of the non weapon specific pearks and if you plan on using warhammers I'd suggest maxing out Skullcrusher*personally I think Limbspillter and Deep Wounds are garbage but YMMV*

at this stage you'll be at level 20-21 So I'd suggest maxing out enchanting and smithing*pick the perks related to your chosen type of armor for smithing and arcane enchanter* and using resist magic andfortify light/heavy armor enchantments for armor and absorb health and stamina echantments for weapons and fortify 2hded for rings and amulets

Now your at level 40-45 and have pretty much everything you need to be a kickass twohander what you do with any other perks you get is really up to you

I'd suggest putting points into only health and stamina ethier 2:1 health*if you want surviablity* or 2:1 stamina*if you frequntly power attack*

Well, Bretons excel in all roles really. They have the best unique racial abilities.... as 25% flat Magic Resist to all is just uber. Being able to take it to 11 by adding 50% Magic Absorption on top of it once per rest is just unfair.
They have an easy time capping the Magic Resistance. And that is a vital defence parameter. Capping Armor rating is pretty easy, especially with Heavy Armor, but there are only a few ways to cap Magic Resist... starting with 25% makes it that much easier....

Nah, definately not 2:1 for Stamina/Health for a Two-Hander. That would be a waste. That might be useful for a shield-centric Block & Bash character, but not for a charging Two-Hander who fells his enemies in 1-2 swings. For the same reason the weapon speed evenatually becomes mostly irrelevant... when most things are dead after your first charge attack.

I still can never choose how to distribute stamina and health. I went with 2:1 health:stamina ratio, but at 200 stamina it seems like I don't even need any more of it.

Your adviice is all great, but I just want to comment here that all of those weapon-type specific perks are pretty poor. I thought at first that Skullcrusher would be best, but what I didn't realize is that most enemies have very low armor, if any. Some enemies don't even have armor (even though you'd expect it and they are tough enemies). That makes Skullcrusher mediocre at best (you'll kill a Bandit chieftain in .5 of a hit instead of .52). As you say, Limbsplitter and Deep Wounds aren't great either.

I would advise you to simply leave those perks for when you don't have anything else in the world you could possibly want.

As an thief/assassin I can never ever have enough stamina. I play as ninja-type of character with Illusion magic, a bow and a dagger.

I put my health and magicka both on 200, the rest I all put in stamina! I think my current distribution is like 200/200/450 or something like that! 200 magicka, 200 health and 450 stamina!

But... How are you spending all that stamina?

Maybe it's because my character is an archer. Maybe that's why I don't get it :)

I do plan to branch out to backstabbing with daggers though!

My character is also an archer first and foremost.

I use that stamina to carry all my loot of course! I don't use any followers, so having tons of carry weight capacity comes in really handy if you travel the lands of Skyrim all by yourself.
