Well, having just started on New Vegas, and with Skyrim later in the year, I suppose I will get my cRPG fix in spite of Bioware deciding to make action-adventures instead.

But New Vegas had guns! I thought RPGs weren't allowed to have guns! Ahhh I can't keep up with you people anymore! :pinched:

Exactly, thats why they are making the game simple so you can understand it and make you feel more in tune with the game. YEAH! Darn Bethesda making the game to simple for me to use. All because people don't like level grinding.Image IPB
I'm a hardcore gamer damnit. We need complexity and only stories we can understand. This way I feel superior in my life when the regular casual gamers tries to talk with me. My fellow hardcorers and I talk will huddle to gether and laugh at them. Image IPB
A yes the days of the hardcore gamer are dieing out and growing colder by the minute. Image IPB

Game Informer site info! The brand-new engine is called the Creation Engine. Apparently, trees now shake violently during storms, and snow falls unevenly on different objects. There is also a old-but-expanded-with-greater-detail screenshot showing a SWEET temple in the mountains. NPC's will also drastically change their opinion of you based upon your actions. An example they gave is that if you barge into a friends house at night they will offer you shelter and let you eat their food. If they don't know you, they may attack or call the guards.

:o:blink::crying: I'm sorry you feel lost. However, RPGs can have guns, don't worry: Megatraveller, Shadowrun, Cyperpunk RPG, WFRP, Call of Cthulhu.... there... They all have guns. Feeling better now? ^_^

I totally want to punch a dragon to death.  I would freaking love that.

If this is anything like Oblivion, super easy difficulty is your friend XD

Well, having read about the technology I am most certainly starting to expect something very special.

Of course, I did that too with Oblivion, but Oblivion was in the end a huge dissapointment for me. Wether or not Bethesda can get it right this time remains to be sen, but what raises my hopes is that the problems they mention and attempt to address, are excactly what I disliked about Oblivion, and which made it so boring to me.

Very impressive graphics. I'm so glad they went with a new engine.

As fine as some of it sounds on paper, I just keep getting flashbacks to the PR and pretty words leading up to Oblivion and how things actually ended up working inside the game

After seeing that screenshot, I don't think Skyrim will be as graphically demanding as Oblivion was when it came out.

The way of making an awesome game. Do more with less in my book. As for how its looking. I'm more worried about the actual AI as they said they would being using the Havok. I'm hoping that its well implemented with the engine sense the only thing Oblivion was programmed scenarios. Hopefully things will be way different and more account will turn things into a very challenging, but enjoyable experience. Image IPB

Oblivion's explosive implementation of Havok and its plethora of overly-large collision boxes just added to the excitement! Just brushing against a random object could cause an explosion of activity whose outcome was impossible to predict. Though once the novelty had worn off... well, the user-made mod Decorator Assistant was a work of genius...

Hopefully the new engine won't crash 5 times or more within an hour like Oblivion.

Remember people, open-world graphics aren't pre-rendered, from what I understand. You should be able to go anywhere you can reach in that pic. I personally love the color palette, it's very realistic.

No, I meant I don't get why Bethesda does reverse concept art.

Oh, lol. It was kinda cool to see I guess.

With almost a year to go, I'm surprised with the sudden steady flow of info on the game.

I have no idea how they will maintain their info stream for ten months. At this rate, we will know most of it by march!
