If we're not going to Morrowind, we're going to be pretty close, judging by that screen of the bug thing with a volcano going off in the background. That might not be Red Mountain but another volcano...? I could see the Ministry of Truth crash causing more than one volcanic eruption.

According to BGS, the first one you see is a new enemy called Ash Spawn. And the "cylon" is Redoran.

Redoran concept art from Morrowind:

House Redoran and the chitin armor! Yay! Now give me some fighting emperor crabs like Ald'ruhn-under-Skar in the story about the Daedra invasion in Morrowing and I'm a happy gamer!

"During the Oblivion Crisis, the Mythic Dawn succeeded in opening an Oblivion Gate in front of the city walls. At some point, the Daedra succeeded in overcoming the Redoran defense, and overran the city. In a last ditch effort to defend the city, Dunmer mages made use of ancient, arcane rituals to awaken the dread emperor crab and the rest of the crabs that had been used to construct the city. The whole city literally rose up to fight the invaders."

Looks like I was wrong about those things possibly being Corprus creatures - they look more like some type of golem. The rest of the screencaps look about as amazing as you'd expect. Can't wait! :wizard:

Also, that armor in the second screenshot (pretty sure it's Stahlrim) looks absolutely bad ass. Gonna have to get my hands on some of that!

EDIT: If that creature is called an Ash Spawn, it's possible it's still some kind of Blight creature - the Blight originated from within Red Mountain, and most of the members of the Sixth House had a prefix of "Ash" in their name (Ash Slave, Ash Ghoul, Ash Vampire, etc.) I wonder if you'll be able to contract Blight diseases on Solstheim?

And as expected, Apocrypha looks amazing. That's one of the parts of this DLC I'm looking forward to the most - I'm absolutely fascinated with Oblivion and am always eager to travel there.

Anyone else going to be singing TROGDOR as they fly around in Dragonborn?
Minus Yrkoon who will be on the ground trying to ignore that.

Oh that's right. Yrkoon doesn't want to ride dragons, therefore, Yrkoon Hates the whole concept of dragons, this entire DLC, and all dragon culture everywhere.

This guy looks so interesting - really great work with the character models IMO

And I wonder what sort of mask this is - perhaps the other Dragonborn wears different masks for different formal occasions?

@naughty - The guy on the bottom pic appears to be a cultist dedicated to Hermaeus Mora. I expect they're working to bring Miraak back, and we may even be able to work with them toward that end (or with the Skaal to stop them).

Has anyone checked closely to see if the ridable Dragons of the new DLC are the two already able to be summoned in the game thus far? This would be one way for Bethesda to avoid breaking quests.

There appears to be a new type of dragon in Apocrypha which can be rode there - the other dragon in the trailer does not appear to be Odahviing and may also be a new dragon we haven't encountered before. I also doubt Durnehviir can be rode since he is bound to return to the Soul Cairn after a limited duration.

Yep, that green slimy dragon you ride in Apocrypha looked like some sort of underwater creature, reminds me of a Plesiosaur.

It's possible the dragon will be able to actually take us underwater - that would be a trip. O_o

I wouldn't get my hopes up for spears (or werebears) - it seems like they'd have something about those already if they were in the DLC. If they're there, it will be a surprise (which is not unrealistic - Dawnguard had its fair share of goodies that were never shown prior to release).

*snip*

It's got those Hermaeus Mora tentacle things, so maybe a cultist.

Ah man... I don't want to fight against Hermaeus Mora. The prince is my buddy! Any word if we can side with him, instead of fighting him?

Solstheim belongs to the Dunmer.

And hail House Redoran, the only heroes and last true Dunmer left in Tamriel.

@Tobi - I noticed the Dovahkiin was wearing armor similar to the HM cultists at certain parts of the trailer, so it's possible you can work with them in some capacity. I wouldn't put too much stock in Hermaeus Mora being an ally - he obviously favors Miraak, though he might be arranging a showdown between him and the Dovahkiin to see who is the strongest. Herma-Mora favors the most powerful as do most of the Princes, and I imagine you might be able to replace Miraak if you so choose upon defeating him.

And dang it, neither one of my adopted kids has brought home a pet yet. That makes me sad.

To make up for the lack of cuddly cuteness, my Bosmer has been doing DB contracts. Hehe.
