 @Naughty Thanks lol! :D

I have more GREAT news! Mudcrabs have been confirmed in Skyrim via twitter!

Image IPB

*Not Skyrim image.

Ah yes. Mudcrabbers! Hilarious enemy when you are leveled high. Here's hoping they won't be in pursuit when you are a quarter mile into the woods and long gone.

It's all happened to us all...spotted by a mudcrab...battle music....we ignore it and go about our business....we are far away and still hear battle music....

"Give it up, stupid mudcrab!!!!! Just go back and hang in the water or go swimming. We both know you aren't catching me, and even if you did, I'm gonna kill you EASILY and loot you for crab meat!!!!"

Hi folks, first off I'd like to thank everyone that has given me tips and helping me out with the game. Must be a pain having a NOOB on the block.<LOL>

I do know if I evenutally get this game played through and start a new one I'm going to do up a custom character. Using a Breton Battle mage with magic as her birthsign this time through and one of the Major abilities is blunt weapons and I don't use them. So it's like a waste of a Major skill that and Light Armor. Might start over not sure yet as I've yet to do any of the primary quests.

Do have a couple of questions for you though

I was wondering if you could safely store things in the White Stallion Lodge till you reach the requirents of buying a house?

If you've looted to much crap out of a dungeon can you leave it in a chest or container and go back for it later? Or once you leave the area or finish the quest is it gone for good?

Also looking over things on the Character stats when you click on the far right button it lists your kills, quests completed, locks picked, etc, etc. Now it says I stole almost 500 items, but yet I've not been arrested or my infamy hasn't gone up they are both 0. How does the game determine stolen items but yet you don't get busted. Would have thought that if I stole that much I'd have been hung by now.

Also on that same page it has one Stores invested in; How do you invest in stores and is there any benefits to it?

Got a sword that has charges, does it get recharged when you repair it?

Thanks again for the help I'm off to do so more mage quests so that I can get my ranking up in the guild.<LOL>

It's not a pain...its super cool to have new players join in. Hopefully you're getting a feel for everything and you'll get a few hundred hours of fun in before Skyrim comes out.

As far as storing stuff in crates...don't do it until you own some property. Then you can store everything you get and select inventory loadouts at your own leisure. As far as loot in dungeons, enemies and loot respawn every 72 in-game hours...I believe. But if you want to clear out a dungeon, fort or cave, what I do is bring everything I want towards the entrance and go sell, then come back and get the other stuff I want to sell. If you take it outside the dungeon itself, I believe it stays there permanently, until moved.

Congratulations on getting your first enchanted weapon. There are hundreds and hundreds to find...more powerful as you level for the most part. You can also eventually enchant your own weapons with Sigil Stones....but what they are I will not spoil. You can also give personally enchanted weapons any name you want.

Like already mentioned, you can get some mages to enchant for a price, but the way to do it is through soul gems. You can buy them or find them in loot chests. You hit an enemy with an enchanted soul trap weapon or spell, and while they are under its influence, kill them. If the gem is big enough, itll capture their soul. Equip a filled soul gem in inventory and it will allow you to choose what you want to repower, and how many points it will repower it.

You can also find gems known as Varla Stones in certain places...I won't give it away...that will revamp fully all enchanted items in your inventory at that time. Eventually you will probably have almost exclusively enchanted weapons. My favorite is an Elven Longsword with 30% Damage Health I personally made and named Sovereign.

Also...and I won't tell you unless you're interested...but there is a very powerful, useful helmet that is hidden in a spot you'll never find unless you wanna know where it is. It gives constant effects on night-eye, water breathing and detect life at 60 ft. If you want it, let me know and I'll tell you its name. You can then YouTube how to get it.

From UESP: http://www.uesp.net/...Safe_Containers

White Stallion Lodge-- All barrels and crates inside the White Stallion Lodge are safe storage (do not respawn), except Mazoga the Orc eats the food you put inside.[/list]

Few containers in Cyrodiil are safe containers and do not reset. Items placed in a safe container will remain there, even if you do not visit that zone for a long period of time.

Additionally, NPC characters will not remove items from safe containers, with two exceptions:Mazoga the Orc will eat food out of the containers in the White Stallion Lodge.

There is an enchanted chest in the Arch-Mage's Quarters of the Arcane University. Once you put a compatible ingredient in, after one day 10 more of those ingredients will be added. Remember that although this chest multiplies ingredients, it is not a safe container. After one week everything in it will disappear.

There are a few types of containers that are safe, no matter where you find them:

Clams
-- There are 321 clams in the game, found underwater in various bodies of water. Seven can be found just outside the entrance to the Imperial Prison Sewer, when you first finish the Tutorial.

Torn Sacks of Grain
-- Labeled "A Torn Sack of Grain", there are 91 that exist in the game.

Open-topped Grain Sacks
-- There are 520 such containers, all labeled "Sack". When you first find them they will either contain 5 identical samples of a grain (CornFlourRice, or Wheat Grain) or be empty.

A large number of other sacks are also safe containers, but cannot be safely identified visually.

Two quests will result in a previously-safe container being removed, leading to the loss of everything inside it.

A Plot Revealed
: an open-topped Grain Sack in Bruma Mages Guild.

Goblin Trouble
: an open-topped Grain Sack in Crestbridge Camp.

You can check for safe containers by doing the following:

Save your game (optional).

Empty out all the containers you want to check or add a specific disposable item like an ingredient to each container.

Wait for 73 hours (3 days plus one hour).

Re-check the containers.

Those that are empty or still contain your disposable item are most likely safe.

For added certainty, repeat the previous two steps several times.Re-load your saved game (optional).

Houses

All houses that you officially acquire have safe containers, with the exception of the house in Anvil. Since you can enter the house before you complete the related quest in which you acquire ownership of the house, Where Spirits Have Lease, some of the containers found inside are not initially safe. Containers that have been identified as unsafe are the overturned drawers near the entrance and the cupboard in the southwest corner of the dining room. These containers disappear when Velwyn cleans up the house at the end of the quest. Take caution, as there may be other containers that disappear or reset. The cupboard in the north west corner of the sitting area is safe.

Quest Related

Aleswell-- The drawer in your room. Related questZero Visibility quest.

White Stallion Lodge-- All barrels and crates inside the Lodge (except Mazoga the Orc eats the food). Related quest: Knights of the White Stallion

Wellspring Grove-- The stone chest at location C. Related quest: A Mage's Staff

Sandstone Cavern - Big Rooms-- The Offering. Related quest: The Sunken One

Greyland-- The chest in the building that initially contains Skooma. Related quest: Raid on Greyland

Lost Boy's Cavern - Hidden Bastion-- The wooden chest at location K. Related questLich of Lost Boy Cavern

Sigh.:P

I guess that's good, though. If its under wraps til I play, it will be more enjoyable. What are you gonna be, Naughty? Still gonna go Battlemage? And when are you going to start the main quest in Oblivion?

No idea, all the race screenshots look so amazing, I can't decide what to roll first.

I think I will get started on the Oblivion main quest in October, so I can finish it before starting Skyrim.

I recently added some mods that add more quests and factions, like Oblivifall Losing My Religion (adds 9 new joinable religious factions for each of the Nine Divines), The Necromancer Mod (adds 2 new joinable necromancer factions), Shadowcast Vineyard (new quests relating to a very cool house in Skingrad) and Myths and Legends (add some new quests to find 17 different artifacts)

So i have a lot to keep me busy until November.

Finally I get to visit my homeland.

Having played all the Elder Scrolls games I finally get to visit where all those heroes came from.
My first character in the Elder scrolls has always been a Nord.

I think my first mod attempt will to put in a playable mudcrab race. Just think of it...a mudcrab with the soul of a dragon! His name will be Scuttles the Conqueror, he'll be a Skooma smoking thug that the ladies go crazy over and he'll wear a fur top hat.

"I saw a mudcrab breathe fire the other day!"

you have to add some dialogue, like

"I was down by the river and I saw a human the other day. Nasty creatures."

That could be alot of fun, though emoting *gurgles bubbles* as a dialogue response would be amusing too.

Or, of course, the crab could have some comebacks like:

"Don't get snippy with me!"

"Here's some sand in your eye!"

"Don't try to butter me up with compliments..."

"That makes my carapice boil! Don't get any ideas human!"

I just let a mudcrab attack me 40 times as I smoked a cigarette.

I then pulled out Apotheosis and did overkill.

Hilarious. It flew like 10 feet in the air.

Vision this:

Down by the water and attacked by a dragon. You're fighting face to face, and recognizing the dragon as a bigger threat, a mudcrab bypasses you and starts swiping at the dragon with its cute little claws.

Mudcrab vs. Dragon.

Epic.

I love the Bloody Mess perk in Fallout 3. I slammed a hammer into the skull of a Bear, and it twisted and flipped fifty feet into the air - all the way out of the field of view.

It's even more amusing if you are playing on PC and can use the console command of setscale on your character or the target of your attack.

I will in later play-throughs, but I'll be so excited to try all the new stuff with my first character that he will level every skill, with perks being spread out.

In previous TES games I always played a Dunmer, usually either a stealthy battle mage, assassin/mage or mystic archer (mage/archer) or some sort of mage.

Now, with 20+ dragon shouts (each with 3 different levels for 60+ shout effects), as well as 280 perks to choose from and some gorgeous character designs for the various races, I'm planning to play some warrior and stealth characters that don't use any enchanting or spells, as well as trying all the different races.

What do you mean? This part is already confirmed. You can also see it in the E3 footage.

Each shout has three different levels. If you hold the shout button down to cast the third level, for example, it is much more powerful and you have to wait for a longer cooldown.

Yep, naughty is right. Three upgraded levels for each shout making them more unique, powerfull and having longer cooldowns.

Image IPB

Additionally in the E3 Demo Todd says his higher level storm call shout caused lightning to come from the sky.  It isnt something you will get straight away.
