Stupid Bioware and them not allowing separate DLC threads
I also wonder since in the trailer we saw Red Mountain...maybe that means we will see it from Skyrim too.
Might make it interesting to be in the Eastern Holds.
Maybe even add Ash Storms and such for weather.

Didn't they say that this is supposed to be their biggest DLC for Skyrim to date?

How big is that map, compared to Skyrim? If there are plains, coast, and mountains, it looks like it would be fairly decent size. And I see trees! That's something I always wished Skyrim had more of.
I think the island is the one in the North coast of Skyrim if that gives any indication as to size and scale in game I'm not sure.

I think that kinda ruins immersion like "A wild Red Mountain suddenly appears!"Giggles_Manically wrote...

In terms of rpgs you're probably right., compared to Bioware's games you're laughably correctYrkoon wrote...

I started giving mine enchanted daggers. I assumed they would be limited to the wooden sword, but nope! You can give them any dagger, regardless of enchantment or material. Currently, both of my adopted kids are sporting Elven daggers - one with paralyze, and one with fear.Yrkoon wrote...

Sofie strutting around with her wooden sword makes me feel so proud.
I discovered something hilarious the other day. You can improve those wooden swords. Wanna feel even more proud? Get that wooden sword of hers to "legendary" level. lol

Not gonna lie, part of my desire for making a Khajiit character was for him to be adorable. I did restrain myself from giving him a cutesy name, at least. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Speaking of, while playing said Khajiit just now, I got quite the sad little surprise. He is a noble warrior type, and joined up with the Stormcloaks not long after escaping Helgen. So Ralof and Gerdur were two of the first people he met. He's also a blacksmith, and spends much of his time in Riverwood and Whiterun at the forge.
So tonight I headed to Riverwood and went to the forge to do some smithing. Except wait, there's a dragon. So I fought and killed it. Must be the second or third dragon I've dealt with in Riverwood, no big deal. So I head back to the forge...and am interrupted again, this time by a courier delivering a letter of inheritance. Gerdur is dead. I was totally confused by this at first, having never gotten one of these before. But then I went across town to investigate, and found Gerdur's body lying in the grass, presumably slain by the dragon.
And now my Khajiit is having several days of quiet introspection.

Well she runs the mill in town, and pays the most taxes, and employs the most people so the villagers basically let her represent the town. Especially since her family has lived there the longest.
Also the first real NPC you probably talk to after the opening usually.

Do you get special dialogue options with npcs when aligned with factions?

There is one quest in the main questline that is skipped when you have completed the civil war already. A quest to negotiate a peace treaty between the two parties.
I have only done the Stormcloak side so far, and got new dialogue with several NPC's in Whiterun after the battle there. The guards will comment on it too. Other than that I'm not sure. I haven't done much of the main quest with the same char that did the civil war, so I don't know how much comment you will receive there.
