Khajiit not only have an unlimited Night Vision (which may be even more valuable as one uses mods that darkens nights), but also have weightless claws that are equal to Ebony Waraxes.

Battle Cry is not only good for dealing more dmg (which stacks with many other buffs), but lessens physical dmg to the character; always nice for a Boss fight at any lvl. While limited to daily use, it is among the better abilities, IMO.

Redguard poison resist is bested by Wood Elf, and replaced by better Enchanted items. Stamina Regen is the least needed by my own chacters, esp when linked to Health via Restoration perk (ie; Respite).

For myself, the worst is Imperial. The extra gold is uneeded, and the Calm feature, while useful, is too limited and easily offset by Illusion.

Well no offense, but if you have to use a mod in order for Night Vision to be useful, I don't really think it counts :)

But it's good that you are getting something out of it at least.

The stamina regen is actually useful if you have a character that relies on power attacks, and since redguards are supposed to be excellent warriors, it fits the theme perfectly.

I use the mod to improve skies, daylight, and darkness; the Nightvision simply benefits, too. But it was useful anyway, as that character could travel by night and increase his stealth, as well as traverse the many dungeons with ease.

A daily Stamina regen could prove useful with Power Attacks, sprinting, etc., but too restrictive to be of much use; certainly not as handy as halfing personal dmg and boosting dmg to foes.

I also have a lighting mod that makes the nights a lot darker, and in combination with the nightvision overhaul mod (also adds nightvision enchantments) it makes the ability very useful.

There are only really two theories I put any weight in about the Snow Elves.

Either:
They attacked the Nords, and got wiped out

Or the Nords attacked them and they got wiped out.

I haven't play any other TES games so I might not be up on all the lore, but didn't The Night of Tears and the Saarthal site strongly suggest the Snow Elves pre-emptively attack the Nords?

Most people dont like recording bad things about themselves in history though.

The nords could have been killing elves, or invading more and more land that the Falmer owned and the Falmer got fed up with it.
Or could have planned to use the Eye of Magnus for something sinister.

All I know is I doubt the Nords are 100% innocent. Especially since they committed genocide against the Snow Elves and hunted them to extinction.

Too bad Tiber Septim didn't do the same to High Elves when he added Summerset Isles into the Empire. Instead, we're left to deal with the consequences in the form of the Thalmor..

Ugggghhhh... I am totally getting sucked back into Skyrim again. Spent several hours yesterday just adding tons of mods and started into the Dawnguard quests. Might start to dabble with the ENB mods.

Same I went on a mod spree, specifically SkyRe and Live Another Life have made the game so much better for me. Especially Live Another Life, that mod is amazing for roleplaying.

This may be enough motivation for some to try EOS: future Thalmor High Elves by the shipload!

Talk to any guard, or an orc should come up to you when you enter a city.

I think you must mean Berserk.  Battle Cry just causes fear.  It's useless except at low levels.  I modded it to make into Berserk so that it actually will be useful.

Well, I think you and I, and maybe one or two others are the only ones who do.  Dual wielding axes is my thing, but it doesn't get alot of love around here.  Posted Image

I didn't care much for DW in vanilla. TK Dodge (double hit a, s and d to dodge in that direction) and DW Parry (hit v to parry with your mainhand while dw or going 1h/spell) have made it really fun for me.

IMO, Tiber Septim was the greatest bastard to ever walk the face of Tamriel. He might have been a Nord (or so the Nords believe), but he hardly cared about Skyrim. It never ceases to amaze me that the Nords would hold him in such high esteeem after he made them part of a Cyrodiilic Empire and banned th use of Thu'um as a weapon. It would be much better to forget Talos and go back to worshipping their original pantheon. Heck, banning the worship of Talos is the only issue I completely agree upon with the Thalmor.

Even though if he stops existing as a god, poof goes Nirn?

Which is why the Thalmor want to bump him off.

Orc Beserker Rage. I have no notion where I got Battle Cry, and at a glance, I have never used it.

Battle Cry is indeed rather pointless. And you can only use it once per day. I wish game designers wouldn't constantly forget about scaling.

I still think Nords are good though. Cold resistance is actually quite useful. Lots of mages, draugr and dragons deal cold damage.

Now don't be silly. I also like dual-wielding! Not sure why it wouldn't be popular. It certainly works very well.

I never really got around to making a character that focuses on 2h. It was my impression that it deals a lot less damage than DW, but I guess that doesn't really matter.

Where did you get that, Giggles?

I haven't come across any lore, either ingame or on the wiki, that states Nirn would go "poof" without Talos.

While I prefer 2H over DW, I have enjoyed almost all of the melee forms in Skyrim; simply am unable to move and fight well enough to take advantage of some Perks and Power Attacks.

FWIW; the Fear Shout line is one of my faves, esp when the fog of war could create many allied deaths. I specifically strive to gain this Shout for the Civil War series.

If it wasn't for Talos you wouldn't have been able to stop Umaril from the Knights of the Nine DLC for Oblivion. It was because Talos was made a member of the divinity that the Hero of Kvatch was able to travel into the spirit realm to put an end to Umaril once and for all.

On the DW side of talks, I'd wish there was an ability to block using DW, would gladly give up the ability to do power attacks to block. Afterall it makes more sense, you can't put all of your power behind two weapons but you can block with two weapons.

There are pitchforks in the game.    Can't equip them though.  They taunt you when you find them, saying  "hahaha, I bet you wish you could impale a bandit with me!"

Well, you can't in vanilla skyrim, but I'm sure there's a "manicure" mod out there that lets you do all of the above  Posted Image
