From how some talk about it, it seems Bethesda is making them wait 30 years for DLC

^ It is almost the holidays, and I have been replaying many of my games like a maniac, and am looking forward to new content. That said, not going to buy DL games or just anything cause it is cheaper.

So after turning Commander Maro (hail, Sithis) into a thrall, the fool seems to have wandered off. I took him into Mzinchaleft and Avanchnzel, and had to resurrect him more times than I'd care to recount. I guess he's not such a badass after all. In fact, he's kind of a wimp, since I didn't upgrade any of his armor or sword before dead thralling him.

But somewhere along the line, he vanished. I kinda stopped paying attention to where he was at, as he wasn't much help, then realized I didn't hear his moaning. So, deciding that I didn't care all that much about having him as a thrall, I summoned twin souls Dremora Lords, which I thought was supposed to override Dead Thrall. Nope. NPCs still give me crap about having a dangerous spell, as Dead Thrall still shows up as an Active Effect.

When a thrall is lost, do they ever just magically show up after fast traveling, or any certain amount of time?

Stupid Maro, I knew he was going to be bad news. And now he's holding me up from getting a Dremora thrall, because I want this resolved first.

Early January for PC is just an assumption, there's been no announcement made.  They tend to just drop the PC version into Steam without even a say-so.  It's such an odd thing.  Like, "oh by the way, here's your DLC."

I really, really hate the exclusivity deal.  @ Giggles, it's only a month, but still, the whole dynamic is craptastic.  And if we don't get it before Christmas then Bethesda is just stupid.

While I also hate the wait, I do like the numerous bugs that are eliminated by the time it gets to the PC.

^ based upon Yrkoon's posts, it would sem so for a large part. And I know I had very little hiccups with Dawnguard since installation; only the Breezehome alchemy lab vanishing bug.

I'm still seeing bugs here and there, but nothing serious or game-breaking. They never really were for me, though. I was joking, hence the smily face.

The Hearthfire lock-ups were easily fixed by removing workbenches. I still see dialogue resets with Delvin/Vex on occasion. The latest patch did fix some of the sound issues I started having since the previous patch.

So anyway... do any of you guys know of a fix for dead thralls disappearing, aside from console commands?

^ Only based upon watching some gameplay vids, followers may be found at original locations. Perhaps Thralls follow that same path, too.

Apparently these are my options:

If your thrall gets lost, you may still have an Active Effect called "Reanimate Thrall" with an extremely long time remaining. To remove this effect, try one of the following:

- being arrested and serving the jail time
- transform into a Werewolf or Vampire Lord
- re-casting a temporary reanimation spell

My character isn't a werewolf or vampire lord, and I've already tried casting temporary reanimation spells. I guess my only option is to get arrested.

^ Say what you will about Maven, but she's all about hopping into a fight. Vampires, thieves, dragons - that woman will jump right in, lightning bolts and all!

I'm kinda thinking it might be time to get the Master Criminal and Wanted achievements.  Now, what to do...

Somehow these things always turn into an elaborate scheme. In this case, I might have to get the Ebony Blade first, for the proverbial two birds, one stone.

I've had Dishonoured since last night and not even touched it yet, Far Cry 3 is out on Friday and I'm still playing Halo 4. Deciding what to play on the 4th will be even more agonizing.

Same here, ever since I got my PC I've bought lots of games and haven't had the time to play them. Also on an unrelated topic, how good is Far Cry 3? I haven't bought an Ubisoft game for ages but if it shows promise I might look into it. 

I don't want to wait until January though, they should have just released it on all platforms at the same time.

Far Cry 3 seems to be adored by the critics, mostly very positive reviews. Also it ships with mod tools, which puts it at the top of my list of games to buy.

Don't get it until Thursday or Friday. Will let you know. From the reviews I've seen so far it's the game that Far Cry 2 should have been and an excellent game. But reviews tend to be....untrustworthy...

I've a feeling everything is going to go back on hold while I delve back into Skyrim on the 4th.

Reading through the Omega DLC feedback thread and found some Skyrim bashing. The one thing I always find hilarious with people that like to blast Skyrim for one reason or another is that its often something like "I played [100+, 60+, 30+, 20+] hours of Skyrim and got bored with it. Totally overrated." Come on people, why are you still playing a game for dozens of hours if you don't like it? Can you even name that many other games you can play that long?

There's bashing on Skyrim compared to the ME3 DLC??? LOL?

I just finished playing my Renegade-Shepard (already did Paragon-Shep earlier today) through the Omega DLC and, um....the cinematics scenes were nice, I guess. There's not much more to be said about it, really. Roleplay is basically non-existant, and you mostly have Aria as your only permanent squaddie through the whole thing. I never liked Aria, so...yeah. That's all I have to say about that.

Anyway, SO excited for next Tuesday! Does anyone know what the achievements will be for this new DLC? I only just got the Legendary Dragon achievement a few days ago, but the Vampire and Werewolf ones will probably take me forever. Maybe I'm weird, but I just don't enjoy the gameplay as much in either of those forms; if I could still go into first-person as a Were/Vamp then I might not mind it as much.
