In the trailer, when the Dark Brotherhood guy assassinates the other person, you see an Altmer sitting across from him.sympathy4saren wrote...

Now I did re-roll a character due to the fact that the Battlemage just wasn't doing it for me. To many of the Major Abilities were spells and I didn't like that there. I use spells on enemies before they are close enough to melee with. Soften them up a bit.<LOL>
Now I'm running a Male Dark Elf. He looks cool with the red eyes.Though all elves could see in the dark? I guess in Oblion world thats not the case. Anyway this guy is working out great. Did a Custom build and selected my own Major Attribs. Like Destruction Heavy Armor, Armorer and Security to name a few.
Now I would like to thank Naught Sympathy4saren and the rest for the great tips and information you've been giving me on the game it's really helped out. Not to mention that I'm finding out allot on my own as well.
Whats a guy got to do to buy a house in the game? I've got 5k in gold right now after my last haul.<G> I've asked in IC, Belvin and Leyawin and they tell me something about I don't think I trust you yet or something along them lines. Even the Emperor in Leyawin told me that and that was after I did the White Stallion quest.
Another thing I had my agility drained from a Long sword of enfeblement; how do I regain that?
Now I did find someone in Leyawiin mage guild that will re-charge things. I guess that when I posted the question before I wasn't of a high enough level for someone to aproach me about it. I'm glad that there is quick slots they make things so nice. Especially for having one with healing potions.<G> and different weapons.
Shpathy 4saren- That helmet that you're talking about sounds coold and I'd love to have it. Nice stats on it. I do have the Nistors boots which gives me water breathing and a +5 to speed but the helmet with the detect life 60 feet would help with them snipers. <LOL>
Now you mentioned mudcrabs I remember my first Pc and the first time I played the game and something was attacking me and I couldn't figure it out. No arrows in me nobody around but yet I'm taking damage. I look down and see this supid crab. I said you've got to be kidding me and started laughing. While playing through today I came across this sword called Goldbrand gives 22 fire damage. So I'm walking along the water and a mudcrab thinking he's bad decides to attack. I hit him one time and he goes sailing through the air. I laughte my butt off. Talk about killing and cooking your meal in one hit.
Well folks thanks again for all your tips and help its bed time for me.

Ok folks Lets try this again Tried posting one before and it told me I couldn't post to a restricted area or some such like that there. Hate when that happens.

For the Imperial City house, go to the market district in the Imperial City. Find the Office of Commerce, and talk to the lady behind the counter. You may have to raise her disposition in the speechcraft minigame to get her to sell you the house. After getting the deed, go to the Three Brothers Trade Shop and talk to one of the brothers. One of them will sell you furniture for the house. The house is located in the Imperial City waterfront, and should cost about 4000 Gold or so for the deed plus all the furniture. It isn't a pretty or big house, but it will suffice. Store all of the valuables you don't need in the chest there, it won't reset.

You can buy a "Restore Agility" spell - I think there is someone who sells it in the Chapel in Bruma
- or you can buy any spell that has a restore attribute effect, and then you can make your own "Restore Agililty" spell (if you have access to the spellmaking altar in the Arcane University or Frostcraig Spire)
- or you can make a potion of Restore Agility
The following alchemy ingredients can be used to create potions of Restore Agility
Arrowroot
Aster Bloom CoreSI
Cinnabar Polypore Red Cap
Emetic Russula Cap
Fly Amanita Cap
Summer Bolete Cap
- also, you might want to consider just roleplaying a character who has a curse on his Agility for a while. makes him a little bit clumsy and not as good at Archery

Chunkyman- I know whom to go to my friend and I've been to them heck I've even used a spell for which I can't think of right now cause I just got out of bed, But I used one in the mages initial quest to try and join the guild in Leywiin. The one where the mage took a female mage and sold it. That didn't even help.
Naughtyman-So thats they only place I can get one is in burma? As for the Arcane Univeristy don't have access to that yet, working on it currently. Guess I'm going to have to run over to Burna than. Never been to that town.
John- Cool name BTW even thought it is a very common one If I might say so after all every houshold has at least one john in the house.<LOL> No disrespect by it as my first name is John as well. Now is that the only way for which you can dual weapon is with a sword and staff? What about two long swords?
Thanks for the information.

One of the previewers mentioned that you can color your eyes different colors. I suspect that's what happened here.

It was possible to get reasonable-looking characters in Oblivion, but it took some effort. Sadly, pressing the "random" button in Construction Set is the sort of lack of effort that produces hideous-looking characters. That said, nords without facial hair mostly looked ridiculous; and the weirdly cube-shaped heads of the bosmer wasn't exactly an improvement.bussinrounds wrote...
I'm actually pretty impressed with the character models. They looked terrible in Oblivion. Like they all had down syndrome or something. Morrowinds were more pleasing to look at.
I disagree about Morrowind's characters looking at all pleasing, though: at best it could be argued that they were just ugly in different ways. Emma's de-uglification of Vvardenfell was most welcome, and in some regards her replacement heads did look rather better than Oblivion, the only real problem being that you needed a different head model for every face, IIRC.

Where is Emma's face replacer? I've tried other replacers but they've made the NPCs look like barbie dolls.vometia wrote...

But to be fair I'm incredibly pedantic when it comes to naming characters and believe the names must follow the established lore.
Imperial = Roman names
Breton = French names
Bosmer = Welsh names with no last name
Orcs = X gro-Y (if male) X gra-Y (if female)
Khajiit = Arabic sounding name with an already established prefix at the start (J', Dar, Do, Dro, Ra, S' etc). A suffix may be added but that means other khajiit would see you as arrogant/foolish.
etc
If a character's name does not follow these conventions their name should at least come from the names of one of the other races and there needs to be sufficient backstory as to why they have it.
Ahhh, it's a good day to be an orc fan.naughty99 wrote...

I agree with the characters looking ugly in Oblivion at least. Exception to the Dark Elve he is about the coolest looking one and thats whom I'm running now. Not sure about the ones in Morrowind though as I've got it but yet to play it. You see I needed something to play with so I ordered Morrowind But before it arrived I was at Gamestop and they had the Oblivion 5th anniv ed. so I picked it up for 30 bucks and been playing it. Didn't realize there was so much in these games. And to think that I pre ordered Skyrim. Don't think I'll need any games for awhile with these 3. I'll say one thing Bethesda must have one heck of a budget.<G>

Do you guys think that there will be any interesting piece of armor? I really like the look of the Glass Armor, even with Morrowind's not-very-nice textures.

Uhhh,what?
Not sure if you're being serious there.
Neither Morrowind nor Oblivion(or any other TES game for that matter) had any sexual situations involving the Player Character and I doubt they are going to change that now. It's really no the TES style.
