It would be kinda cool that if the dragon is slain in flight, so falleth the DB. Maybe I could land on Maven!

However, I am more for the other things this DLC might bring (ie; new areas, spells, Shouts, visions of sugarplums, etc).

Well, why not give us the ability to drop cluster or fire bombs while Dragon riding.  Seriously, carpet bombing Riften right back into the god-em stone age, and burying Maven under the rubble of the biggest lake font parking lot in all of Skyrim is something I think I could get behind rather quickly ! Image IPB

There's a potential big plus for Dragon riding.

I'm sure its just for riding, but imagine the mods.

Uncertain; believe I read that they are officially fixing Spells and Shouts to be implemented from Mounted Combat. Even so, I prefer to have such fights while dismounted, but it would make for some keen options.

I cant wait to do a fly by of the Blades on a Dragon.

That is seriously...the entire reason I am getting the DLC.

After about 380 hours, I have just now (well ok, in the last few days.) finished the main Skyrim quest.
Should I? Or no? I have my eye on restarting "Fallout: New Vegas" :/

Wow, I missed a fun debate over the weekend.

My measly $.02 is that dragon riding is fun. I know this, because I did a heck of a lot of it in L.A.I.R, a PS3 game where you actually got to fly a dragon. It was central to gameplay. Granted, it was 2007, and I was a total PS3 girl at the time.

You got to use the sixaxis controller to fly the dragon, and once you progressed in the story, you got to choose a different dragon mount with different skills/specs. My favorite was the dead-looking dragon, that was all ragged. He was a bit slower than the others, but I just loved him. I'll have to look it up to see what it was called, but since the game is so old, there's not a whole heck of a lot out there about it.

Here's a L.A.I.R gameplay video. The actual dragon riding starts around :28.

The game itself could have been fantastic, but the control scheme kinda blew it. But dragon riding was hella fun when the sixaxis worked properly.

On a slightly different note, in an effort to remove the Reanimate Thrall active effect (last week I mentioned that I'd lost my Dead Thrall, but still had the active status effect), I inadvertently got my Bosmer arrested over the weekend. I mean...I'd planned to anyway, but it just kinda happened organically.

There were some vampires attacking Whiterun, and in the midst of battle, my dual-wielding scratched a guard. I got a bounty, and got hauled off to jail. Knowing that this could clear the status effect, I went along with it. It was the first time any of my characters have actually served jail time.

Once in jail, Reanimate Thrall cleared, and I attempted my first jailbreak. I was able to gather my gear, and gtfo, all while collecting the Wanted achievement. Hooray!

Since then, though, my Whiterun bounty is at 140. I've been trying to figure out how to pay it off, but no guard will talk to me about it...and it messed up a heist job for me. I had to steal something out of the strongbox in the Bannered Mare, and did so without a hitch. Didn't get caught, and nobody was the wiser.

Once I got back to the Ragged Flagon to collect my gold, Vex got in my face, saying that a real thief wouldn't get caught, and the quest failed. Huh? Is that due to the bounty in Whiterun?

"We're also happy to announce that Dragonborn will be available for PC and PS3 players early next year."

Well that's it, then. I'll spare the thread my cursing.

An article about the new DLC with some tidbits leaked by a beta tester. SPOILERS obviously!

http://www.gamespot....ls-leak-6400937

The article mentions something about the inclusion of "The Morag Tony". :mellow::lol: The comments about it are pretty funny.

^ Morag Tony? Hehe. So were there different spellings of it? I noticed that the Stage 4 Thieves Guild recruit, Ravyn Imyan, a Dunmer, tells you he was in the "Morang Tong".

That just makes me think of Meringue pie.

Lulz, apparently that voice actor didn't study up on TES lore before he did his recordings. :P

No no, its a different group. The Morag Tony is a cult of fat Italian guys who assasinate you by over-spicing their pasta dishes.

There will be a questline in the game where you'll have to go and kill their leader.... or as they call him, "the Don" or "the Godfather". lol

Reading about the DLC I really hope they have some lines that indicate if you did the MQ or not.

SO are we going to be comparing it to Dawnguard, or to Bloodmoon though?

^ I haven't played Bloodmoon, so for me, I'll be comparing it to Dawnguard. I'm an abomination; I know.

Kinda funny that we'll get 30-40 hours of gametime in Dragonborn, for $20. Or you can spend $15 on that Omega ME3 DLC, and get 2-4 hours.

Which is the better deal...?

Obviously the one that has more artistic integrity.
Where your choices matter and IT GOT LOTS OF GOOD REVIEWS.

Now excuse me while I go puke for saying all that.

^ Hehehe, you and me both. I keep hearing about Omega, and it just makes me want to barf. I don't know why anyone is wasting their time with that, when they could be getting their characters ready for Dragonborn. Honestly.

Yeah, the Bioware DLC really seems too expensive... I might have tried Leviathan and Omega, but when I read both were only about 3 hours long... Nope. I won't be fooled again. Not after paying €20 for Dawnguard and getting so much content. I still haven't even finished the main quest for the DLC once. I thought I would be going back to Skyrim, now that I finished The Witcher, but last week The Witcher 2 was 75% off on Steam sale. So now I'm playing that, and continuously feel like I pirated the game, because €7,50 is nothing for that much awesomeness.

^ So you haven't met Esbern, or visited Sky Haven Temple? You should, so you can get the Dragonbane sword. Have you met Paarthurnax? What are you waiting for?

Or have you fallen prey to those dastardly butterflies, that do their best to distract you from your current task? Image IPB

I have absolutely no idea! According to Steam I spend around 300 hours in the game so I'm sure I have been doing something!

The problem is that I always meet characters that will inspire me to try some new chars with a new RP background. Nonetheless I find new stuff everyday that I've never seen. At least I think so. Maybe I just forgot it. Can happen after 300 hours!

Maybe I'm just distracted by all that shiny stuff that's everywhere in Skyrims landscape. A cave there, a dwemer ruin there. Distracting locations!

But I swear I will stay strong this time! My orcish battlemage will see those quests! Or maybe... maybe I could finish building his library tower. All these possibilities! :D
