I don't know why, but I've always enjoyed making my character wear more mundane things.

That's one badass ****ing set of clothing.

^Have fun.:)  700 MB doesn't sound that big, though.

Bethesda can do a lot with 700+MB when you realize they don't spend ridiculous amounts of time on cutscenes.

It sounds pretty darn big, actually.   For a download.

It's  ~ 1/3 the size of Skyrim's  xbox  download, IIRC.

That looks awesome. I always enjoyed seeing my characters running around in either leather, steel, or hide armors. It felt right.

How big was Dawnguard?

Last night, I finished up a few quests in Dwemer ruins: I first went into Bthardamz (The Only Cure) - holy crap, I'd forgotten how big that place is. It felt like it took forever. Next, I played with some dead Synods in Mzulft (Revealing the Unseen), and it seemed much smaller than I'd remembered. I blazed through Blackreach (Discerning the Transmundane) to pick up the Dragon scroll, and need to get back to visit the rest of it. I'm always finding new stuff in there.

All-in-all, I think I've gone through probably 10 Dwemer ruins in the past couple of days. They're all starting to melt together in my mind, now. I think the only ones I have left are Sightless Pit, Bthalft, and Kagrenzel.

Ugh, and now the grandaddy of all Nordic ruins is next for me - Labyrinthian. I wonder how that compares to my memory of it?

Labrynthian is actually two seperate dungeons, so My mind doesn't see it as so huge.

Forelhost on the other hand.... That one is truly massive.

Oh yeah, that's where 'Captain Valmer' is, right? Where he's parading around as a Stormcloak or Imperial? I haven't done that dungeon in...well, forever. I really should.

Right now I'm just walking around discovering new places in Solstheim.

Not used to that. Been a while since I discovered what seems like everything on mainland Skyrim.

So once you get a feel for it, can you tell us about dragon riding, spears, and other fun things that this DLC has?

I have to wait until January, well I could buy it for xbox but then again I don't see the point in downloading the same thing twice.

Well so far I'm not doing any main quest Solstheim stuff. I'm not even questing.

Just walking around, killing the occasional bad guy that gets in my way.

New locations EVERYWHERE. So cool.

Any word on PC release yet?

I have nasty things to say about Bethasda's dumb Xbox Franchise deal. Tis alright in cold hard world that such deals are made. I haven't even seen Dawnguard yet and don't mind waiting really...
...But why in fuk does this deal have to include this annoying vague no info policy when it comes to other platforms.

edit,
....Ok after raging some i googled some and turns out Beth plans release @ early 13 for PC.

^ All Bethesda has announced is "early next year" for PC and PS3. Sorry, man.

I wish Greengoron was still on BSN - I can just imagine how much he's probably squeeing about werebears being in Dragonborn. I'll have to ask him later on today. He sent me a message on XBL last night, saying "TOMORROW! :D"

I haven't seen any werebears yet, but I heard about their existence in-game from a werewolf clan.

Hah.

The name "were bear" still makes me laugh. Must prepare to force some werebearell rolls.

Lets hope that means January because "early 13" is very vague. I really hate when they use PR talk, what is so hard about being specific, I guess that's better than nothing though and besides knowing how things are, who knows what will happen with the PS3.

I love this DLC, only played it for an hour because I have to get ready for work, but it feels like playing Skyrim again for the first time- not knowing where to go, the that sense of "new", etc. Oh man, the soundtrack too, so much beautiful work.  The map is hugeeeeeeeeeee too.

He got the banhammer or booted himself?

*inserts the usual Microsoft is evil cursing*

*goes back to reading Morrowind lore spoilers*

urghhh I hit a snag,  Im decided to play the DLC with my non-dragonborn Vampire first.  Turns out I need to have completed “The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller” to start the DLC.

Guess im off to go to Bleak Falls Barrow  :P

^ He left on his own. I guess he was tired of the b.s. or something, but he didn't elaborate. It's too bad; I will miss his speculation on new DLCs, musings, and lore discussions.

@Crash - how is your Dovahkiin 'non-Dragonborn'? Image IPB

I was roleplaying her not being Dragonborn because I personally think being a Vampire Dovahkiin is a bit silly. But thats just me.

But hey at least I will be able to learn Clear Skies now. That will make aiming Auriels Bow a little easier

Apparently the DLC wont start until the Greybeards name you Dragonborn.
Which has also set off a lot of ****ing amongst the forums because "YOU LIED BETHESDA YOU SAID AT ANY POINT!"

<_<

Ahh, so basically, your Dovahkiin just isn't aware he/she is a Dovahkiin yet. I get it. So what were you doing in the instance of Word Walls?

I just got Clear Skies last night! Every time I speak to Paarthurnax for the first time in a playthrough, it gives me chills. I just love him. I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite between him, Odahviing, and Durnehviir.

@Giggles - I really wish Bethesda would have given us some kind of indication before the day the DLC is released where we should be in the MQ.
