Am I the only one not surprised the DLC DRAGONBORN which involved a DRAGONBORN antagonist can't start in earnest until the PC is also a DRAGONBORN which would seem to be a prerequisite for a conflict between DRAGONBORNS.

Silly me.

It's neither surprizing nor is it worthy of discussion,  since you can become dragonborn ridiculously early in the game.  (I  once managed to reach High Hrothgar and talk to the Greybeards at about 4th level.)  To put things in perspective,  the game allows you to start this DLC earlier than it allows you to do any of the Daedric quests (for example), many  of which won't even trigger until you're at least twice that level

Hey, do any of you guys know where I can reliably find a waterbreathing item to disenchant? I'm at level 42, and still haven't found anything yet. This girl wants to go swimming!

I looked on one of the wikis, but didn't find anything of use.

First off, there's only  1 disenchantable  waterbreathing item that has a fixed drop,  and it comes at the end of the Ariel's bow quest in Dawnguard.

Second, if you're level 42, you're probably screwed.  For some reason, Waterbreathing is considered a low level enchantment, and Skyrim's loot dispensing and  merchant inventory is  level scaled.  That means that your chances of  finding  gear enchanted with Waterbreathing diminish with every level you gain after  level one.  At level 42, you're close to 0%.

Ironically, I enchanted my Legendary Daedric Helmet to give me Waterbreathing.

So at Level 81 I can stay underwater forever without being an Argonian.

Cool stuff.

Just a reminder to our console brothers and sisters....please don't post any spoilers about dragonborn. If need be, put the spoiler tag on it. A big one. With bunnies.

Eventually made it to Solstheim about an hour ago :P   Not bad considering I downloaded the DLC  seven hours ago and planned to go right there...

Best laid plans and all that :innocent:

Anyway, first impressions so far is simply WOW.   Even sixty seconds off the boat told me that this was going to be filled with lots of new loot and lots of new items!   Cant wait to get sunk into again tomorrow.  This is going to be quite the adventure im sure!

Hey guys. So I'm playing the Dragonborn DLC right now (Fun as hell tbh). I'm doing the March of the Dead Quest and there's a door in Fort Frostmoth that I need to unlock before I can progress further. Any idea where the key is?

EDIT: Nvm. I found it

True, i heard that level 12 -14 was the optimal level for finding the enchantmnt,  but at level 56 i was barely able to get the muffle enchant and waterbreathing from Adrianne Avenicci, though it'll take you some time if you don't use the console command.

Well if you HAVE to post spoilers maybe just change the text color to grey so as to avoid annoying people?

Easiest way though is to just put a picture saying SPOILER warning.

I was reading some impressions of Dragonborn on another forum and apparently they've used some of the music from Morrowind.

SOLD! (Was going to get it anyway, but just another reason to buy it I suppose)

Buy it, download it, then overwrite that download with another download of it just because.

I can't play until late afternoon Thursday and it's killing me. It also gives me an immense sense of compassion for those who can't play it until early 2013. The emails that I have received from friends is that it's amazing thus far. Not surprising.

Fair game towards the PC players and the mod talk imo. I'll be posting lots and lots of spoilers lulz.

As a PS3 player, I sure as hell hope we get Dragonborn. It'd be nice to also get Hearthfire and Dawnguard at some point.

But you know what DLC I'd like to have? A military style Hearthfire, so Skyrim can prepare for a Thalmor invasion. You clear out a few ruined fortresses and/or build some new ones, renovate them into being useful, etc.

happy_daiz wrote...

Oh yeah, that's where 'Captain Valmer' is, right? Where he's parading around as a Stormcloak or Imperial? I haven't done that dungeon in...well, forever. I really should.

I just did that quest last night. For some reason, the Imperial Soldier Valmir wanted to send in next tried to kill me. Granted, I'm a Stormcloak but the Imperials have never tried to kill me out of hand. I have to actually start fighting them.

But after a little bit, the poor sod started to weep, run away, and beg for his life. Since I was glad to put the Thalmor's efforts to a halt in Forelhost, I decided he could have his life. I felt charitable with my Duncan Jesus Nord.

Let the Werebears dominate Tamriel alongside the Werewolves!

Must prepare to force some werebearell rolls.

LOL.

I dunno about Morrowind, but I did recognize songs from Oblivion while my stepbrother was playing. Nice change of pace from Skyrim's music. I mean, it's good, but Oblivion was just so much better.

Also, I've not played Morrowind, but how was the scenery? Seems like the new area is really brown and dull. I was expecting a bit more color.

Hah!

My friend took his XBOX out of his dorm room, gave it to his best friend and said:
"DONT GIVE THIS BACK TO ME UNTIL EXAMS ARE DONE!"

Poor bugger has to wait almost until I do to get his DLC.

You can either get 3 sets from a random encounter or a set as you progress through the MQ.  There's also some scattered around in some ruins.

You can't smith it or improve it even though it's got an armour rating.

The Nordic weapons look epic too. I currently have the bow and it's by far the best looking one in the game.

So they say that it is not possible to become a werebear or to use spears. Is that right? I don't particularly care about those things but I'd like to know if its true or just the ramblings of all those whiners in the Bethesda forums.
