Only thing I've read is that it's confirmed the invasion was limited only to southern MW, which was pretty clear from the novels anyway. Though they apparently also made some incursions into Vvardenfell to chase down notorious slavers (Brand-Shei's quest suggests this) and to do some kind of religious ritual at the Scathing Bay in Vvardenfell, what was once the city of Vivec- that is from the novels.LobselVith8 wrote...
Interesting. I'm sure Helseth didn't last long once Morrowind seceded from the Empire. I wonder how southern Morrowind is doing since the Argonian invasion.
The capital of Morrowind is now a place called Blacklight. It does seem that the Dunmer are rebuilding, even in the devastated areas. All in all things are looking up for Morrowind fans who were worried the Red Year might be the end of the province.
Wasn't that town supposed to make an appearance in Dawnguard? I think they cut it, I wish it had been there though it would have made things even more interesting.

I did enjoy meeting "Dusty", the Silt Strider, though. I didn't play Morrowind, but my husband did, and commented that he seemed a lot bigger than the ones was used to seeing.

I have no idea how anyone can keep track of Dunmer names, though. There were an awful lot of NPCs added in this DLC, and their names just seem sooo similar!

I think the Dunmer had to few voice actors between them.

You know, the Redoran guards in Dragonborn remind me of something you'd see in Fallout, for some reason.

The Nords had too few VAs, too, IMO. I think they should spend less VO budget on big names and more on diversifying the commonest dialogue you're going to hear over and over and over.

^ Man, if they would Skyrim-ize Morrowind and Bloodmoon, I'd try them out in a heartbeat. I wish the graphics didn't bludgeon my eyes so badly.
You really should give it a shot especially since Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 came out back in October.
It looks fantastic and doesn't require a strong PC at all to run.

I might pop in the XBox version to see how awful it is. The last time I saw it was on an old projection tv; it might be better on our LED.
@Addai - Yep, that's it! I don't know why, but it just seems a little out of place. It must be that 'alien aspect' of the environment or something.

I like Skyrim but it just doesn't compare to Morrowind imo. There is a reason so people love the new dlc and you owe it yourself to find out why.

Ugh, waiting a month for this. I actually saw some scenes with Miraak, he actually reminds me of an
quarian when he speaks, I find it amusing. And look at this, it seems you get an new marriage option in this DLC, with an character that is involved with the main quest. Yay for character development before
actual romance.
My (vampire) mage protection in full robes is beyond the 567 cap. But if you get hit as a mage in the first place, you're doing it wrong. #Master of Illusionhappy_daiz wrote...
I think pure mage builds (robes) might have quite a bit of a challenge with Dragonborn. Enemies are much tougher than we're used to, for any class, but mage robes just seem like they wouldn't be much protection, even with mage armor. Not with these baddies.

Or at least he tried to....lets just say that attacking level 30 or so mooks at level 5 is not a good idea.

I wonder if the religious ritual has something to do with the Hist?
I'm hoping we hear more about Blacklight and the rest of Morrowind, although it's good to know that society is being rebuilt. If Splinter Cell 108 is correct, perhaps we will see Blacklight in the future?

Funny, reading a few things above regarding FO3, NV, and Skyrim: I actually have yet to save Simms in FO3 or unite the Remnants in NV. Those are both on the to-do list. Tenpenny is marked for death in every playthrough, and I just bide my time until I can get to him. I simply am unable to betray Megaton. I usually just take him, and him alone, out of the picture. Talon company always goes bye, 1. I need the armor for repair, and 2. I really get tired of those a-holes.
I liked the Remnants, and I've always brought them together; it was nice having the Remanants at my side at the Battle of Hoover Dam, reunited. It was my first time saving Simms from Burke. There are a lot of places to see and things to do, and I was never able to get around to saving Simms the first few times I've played. Given Tenpenny's "Wasteland Safari" and what he did to Mei Wong, he's slated for execution.
I encountered a member of the Talon Company with a white face and black arms in Georgetown; maybe he lost his hands and had new ones surgically attached to him...

Dunmer architect in Morrowind was very different than what the Imperials or the Nords built; especially the Telvanni towers. The dialogue options were interesting, especially with Dagoth Ur. I think you would like the storyline; it's really good.

I'm sure that would be an issue for people who wanted to switch partners. If the marriage option is more developed and fleshed out before marriage becomes an option, I think that is a pretty thing. I wonder if the character is a man or a woman?

I wear the Archmage robes with my Dunmer mage, so I'm curious to see how my protagonist fares in Dragonborn (especially with the level 81 quest people mentioned a few pages back). I use the Dragonhide spell when I need protection against archers, and it's helped when I've had to deal with Dragur Deathlords up close and personal, like in Skuldafn.

That is awesome. They always kidnap Ingun Black-Briar in my playthroughs. At least once with each character. I don't know why they hate her so much... or think my Dovahkiin likes her so much.Brockololly wrote...
Haha- going through Dawnguard and while siding with the Dawnguard I got one quest where a vampire kidnapped my PC's wife, Mjoll. So I go to the cave to rescue Mjoll, when I'm sneaking down there I hear some fighting. I get down there and Mjoll has already killed everyone. I don't think she really needed to be rescued.
Or a Conjurer with Twin Souls and Dremora Lords. It's saved my hide more than once.Arcane Warrior Mage Hawke wrote...

So what do the people look like in Morrowind, with the overhaul thingie you mentioned? I was thinking they were pretty jagged, and looked much worse than in Oblivion, based on what I remember from a few years back. Did that get improved as well?Skelter192 wrote...

Soooo....Dragonborn is like the Lonesome Road equivalent for Skyrim? Enemies and environments got incredibly tough in caves, on the High Road, on the Courier's Mile, and well....just about everywhere. Same sort of thing?
If that's true, I will be one happy Dragonborn indeed. I loved Lonesome Road's increased difficulty.

...And met a new follower option, who I must say, I think is WAY better than Serana. Her name is Frea, and she's a Skaal warrior. Dat voice. I'm considering kicking J'Zargo to the curb, to try her out, but I'm concerned about him finding his way home ok. I seem to have a problem with followers getting lost in my playthroughs - this will be illustrated very soon.
Who is her voice actor? Is it the one who did Lydia? I couldn't place it at all last night but it came to me while in work today that its Lydia. Dunno if I was misremembering.
As for the stealth thing; I've had no issues at all. Infact if its dark enough I can stealth right up to peoples faces, then stab them in said faces. Except on those occassions I get the timing of power swings/distance wrong and um...yeah...

Have you had to deal with the Morag Tong, once you're on their kill list?
I wondered at first if Frea's VA was the same as Lydia's, but she sounds to me like she's got a bit of an accent that I'm not used to hearing. I haven't had much luck in looking up the new VAs, so I have no idea.

Well I don't know if I'm right about that but there were a lot of rumors circling around about blacklight being found in the leak or something and that it was cut. I don't truly know what happened with it, just that it came up somewhere tith regards to dawnguard.
