Better Winterhold? It spruces up the archmage quarters and adds a lot of little functional bits like sortable chests, weapon racks, cooking pots, bookshelves etc. It also adds a story in between the quarters and Arcaneum called "Dining Hall and Forum" with a bunch of vendors.

Ah might have to check it out, I found the College in terms of design, cells and structure very poor compared to the Mage guild in Oblivion(the main one, not the mini ones in each city)

^ Based soley on gameplay vids, it seemingly also adds walls and gates to surround the city, making it seem more of a massive structure; a ruin of note instead of crumbling village. It also appears to have a minor quest or two included in the city.

Finished the Main Quest finally -- after having 800 hours logged in.

The majority of those hours being just my Nord standing around doing nothing while I left my PS3 on for days on end because... well... I'm lazy.

Anyway, gonna start up a Skyrim fanfic now.

There are a few Winterhold improvement mods.  The one I use is this one, which only applies to the archmage quarters and the area around the Arcaneum.

I haven't tried any that add or fix stuff in the town.  That sad place could use a lot of help, for sure.

I avoid larger stuff like that because of the framerate hit. Also I think there is a lore reason you don't see more ruins- because the town didn't really fall into the ocean, it was zapped somewhere.

Nice find, that is something I've been wanting to have a long time, been looking for an appropriate Winterhold house mod. I hope it doesn't screw my game up. I already had to delete three characters because the saves were screwed due to screwing around with things in the game. Now I have to start over with my Altmer nightblade vampire.

I kinda wish there was a questline to restore Winterhold, maybe even find out what really happen to it(what caused this disaster)

Poor place is crap, only reason to go there is to get that one dragon claw and visit the mages.

Yeah I like winterhold a lot even if it is a crummy old town, what I like about it is that is always snowy and that it is so lonely and in the ass end of nowhere too.

I have a coral, ivory, and sapphire dragon claw. Does anyone know where I use these?

Yep.

It's the *** end of nowhere. It's the Wisconsin of Skyrim.

In order:

Coral -- Yngol Barrow

Ivory -- Folgunthur

Sapphire -- Shroud Hearth Barrow

The letter from Sapphire's dad to her. THE FEELS. D:

You can take the letter to her over in the Thieves Guild and she's so touched she decides to give you a unique gift, an Exquisite Sapphire.

She said she's had it forever, and the damn thing is worth 5000 gold. I'm keeping it, forget selling it.

Where? Where be this?! I haven't seen it in the Thieves' Guild at all, and that's generally where letters to the members are.

Its over in Solstheim, during Dragonborn. Its completely missable, you can accept a side quest from a character, after its completed he'll give you the key to his house and basement, in the basement is a bunch of things you can take at will, including the letter.

Are new dungeons less linear and more open like Oblivion in Dragonborn?

Damn to the depths the man that thought to keep Dragonborn from us PS3 folk for a month!

Neither have I. They strangely do not show up anymore for me in patrols. Does Northwatch Keep or the Embassy respawn Thalmor?

So what does your dragonborn look like off duty?

http://cloud.steampo...31ABE1111BBBAB/

Sadly his clothes are all enchanted up the wazoo....plus he is carrying a good 250 pounds of equipment right there...with FUS RO DAH equipped.
So I guess as close to off duty as they can get.

Thats awesome.  I found the letter, but havent made it back to Skyrim yet.  Judging Sapphire's character I wasnt sure how she would take it.

Gems like that you can never sell.  Just like the Eyes of the Falmer

There is a thread in the DA3 forums concerning the inspiration of Skyrim. Thought that some of the folks that enjoy this game may wish to voice opinions there:
