Yeah, the Argonians seem somewhat enigmatic; the exodus of far-flung Argonians returning to Black Marsh during the Oblivion Crisis seemed to indicate that they have some connection with the Hist. I'd like to know more about them.
Oh yeah, it says it in the novels outright that the Hist called the Argonians back and drove them into such a battle frenzy that the daedra opening Oblivion gates closed them back up again. lol
Not sure if I'm telling you things you already know, but an anti-imperial faction called the An-Xileel took power in Black Marsh. There was a purge of imperial areas through the floating city of Umbriel, but that might have been inspired by a rogue Hist. At any rate the An-Xileel are still in power as far as we know. The only other bit about Black Marsh we got in TESV was that Erikur intercepts a shipment of weapons going from the Thalmor to Black Marsh. Whether that means the Argonians have some kind of agreement with them, or the Dominion is just trying to buy them off, we don't know.

I've heard about that; does Burke still try to kill you if you've romanced him? His Hit Squad attacked me, but I didn't see a letter on any of them since I killed Burke. Yeah, BSG games do give you options, like in handling President Dave of the Republic of Dave. Personally, I found some of the most hilarious stuff in New Vegas to be in the DLC Old World Blues. I loved the characters and story in that DLC.
It's been a while now but as best I can recall you get the hit squads after you, but no letter from Burke on them. You just get a few love letters from him at the saloon. It's pretty hilarious.
