You are a nord mage? That's impressive. I just can't play well as an mage when I'm a nord, tough I do better when I'm playing as an elf. My nord character is pretty good at archery and melee combat. Destruction magic takes forever to level up...
And you guys had been mentioning about choice in this game.. I'm the only one that is kind of pissed that you can't choose to be either totally good or evil? Like you are aways forced to join the thieves guild, and they are pretty much evil? I mean, I would at least like an option to make them a little nicer, like not stealing from the poor or common folk that just get by.I think the elder scrolls series could adopt more elements from the fallout series when it come to RPG elements.

You are never forced to join the Thieves Guild.

You can tell them to go to hell when they try to recruit you.

^^ They are evil, but does not mean that the Player has to be. Choose questlines that are more in keeping with your vision, and when asked to take a mission outside of those guidelines; decline. So what if they give you a litlle jazz; what can they really do to you?

But I have only chosen to do the TG once, and the DB a couple of times, and there are Daedric items I have yet to see. Playing Good or honorable is so much more fun to me in this game

I've only joined the TG on one character.

Speaking of elves, this is my Altmer.  What's the fun of being an Altmer if you can't look like you think you're the gods' gift to elvenkind.  And every other kind.  I do like that they're tall.

Wow, I really like her. Is she modded in any way or is she a vanilla? I hope she is a vanilla, if so, I am going to try to copy her. She might just be my first non-human character.

Does anyone use Imperials at all? I've tried using them but I always get bored with them.

Imperials are boring to me too. I don't really like the Empire though, so that could be why.

Redguards are my favorite man race. Their lore is badass. I agree with their views on magic (anti Illusion and Conjuration/Necromancy), I'm Native American, so I have the 'red skin' part down, they just make the most sense for me.

lately I've been wanting to use  a redguard too.

Saw a note recently that Argonians are suppoedly blessed with additional talon dmg, too. So going unarmed early becomes optional for playing the more aquatic race.

^ Yep, it looks exactly like the Ancient Nord armor, but with some (very awesome) enchantments. One of which is waterwalking on the boots.

They kinda cheesed on some of the "new" armor, imho.

- Blackguard armor looks identical to Linwe's armor.
- Deathbrand armor looks identical to Stahlrim light armor.
- Chitin armor looks identical to Morag Tong armor.
- Ahzidal's Armor (shown above) looks identical to Ancient Nord armor.

These are new:
- Skaal armor
- Nordic Carved armor
- Bonemold armor
- Stahlrim/Deathbrand armor
- Chitin/Morag Tong armor
- Miraak's armor
- Cultists robes
- Telvanni robes

You know, seeing how the south area of soustheim is covered in ashes, makes you wonder how life is possible on morrowind, and how these ashes didn't hit Skyrim in areas such as windhelm.

Thank you!  Not modded.  With Altmer I think it helps to use the facial color sliders to give them some facial contours, widen the eyes a little, give them some makeup and then just embrace the hawkish weirdness.

I've seen some very badass looking male Altmer PCs on this thread, too.

An NPC you meet on the road comments that he doesn't like Windhelm because ash from Vvardenfell has made the hold strange.  I think the marsh pits south of Windhelm are meant to show that more than the city itself.

One thing I like about Skyrim is how I keep on experiencing new events every now and then. For example, I was hanging around the College of Winterhold and sitting in on the various lectures given by each master, and I found it hilarious when Colette gave her lecture, all of the other masters slowly walked out on her, whereas with every other professor, they all stayed until the lecture was done.

Assuming that the other masters cutting out was intentional (and not just a bug), I thought that it was a nice touch to show how Colette doesn't get any respect for her restoration magic (or that they don't like her paranoia).
