The elves are supposed to resemble animals? I didn't notice that. I liked that the Dunmer aren't supposed to be pretty; they are my favorite pick to roll with as a protagonist. Speaking of the Atlmer, I wonder what happened to Queen Morgiah of Firsthold, since I know the Atlmer dislike outsiders, and the Thalmor came into power after the Oblivion Crisis. I also don't think it was ever explained what "first" she owed to the King of Worms (given their arrangement in Daggerfall).
I know the Altmer and Dunmer are meant to have a "bird" look. To me the Bosmer look like squirrels. lol Maybe deer.
I'm never going to look at Bosmer the same way again. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

I think cash is a silly racial bonus; especially in a game that's weighted towards making you rich.
Or...it is the way I play it. Even if you spend just a tiny bit of time on smithing and enchantment, and sell your creations, you will be floating in cash in no time. Or loot every burial urn like I do - sometimes I wonder why I get all OCD on opening those stupid things, especially when they typically only hold a crappy ring and a few septims. But you never know what might be in there!
Yeah, I know what you mean. I got the "Golden Touch" achievement of having $100,000 before my character even joined the Thieves Guild, so I don't think money is really an issue if you explore Skyrim and sell the loot from your fallen foes. It helps that weapons and armor don't degrade.

I agree with that. Nords and Imperals its very easy to make attrictive characters. Probably the reason why my two plays so far are Nord and Imperial [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie] [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]
I want to replay a dunmer, but I just really dislike the new elf style [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/unsure.png[/smilie]
I don't think it's all that new; I seems the Dunmer appearance (and voice) is reminiscent of the Morrowind style. I like it; both of my protagonists are Dunmer, and I think the facial options and details have improved a great deal since the early days.

You know, seeing how the south area of soustheim is covered in ashes, makes you wonder how life is possible on morrowind, and how these ashes didn't hit Skyrim in areas such as windhelm.
I think the Dunmer adapted. Athis, a Dunmer member of the Companions, makes a comment about staying away from Windhelm because it's so close to Morrowind. He also comments to my Dunmer that we "are all Ashlanders now" (given the events of the Red Year).
