I think that Thalmor got my point.
The general thrust of my argument

The only Daedra I've stopped helping regularly are
Namira - If Eola was straightforward with me it would be ok but instead she tries to play me for a fool.  So I fail that immediately
Vaermina - Thorougly unconvincing in her attempt to persuade me.

I must be the odd one out, as the only Daedra in Skyrim I've stopped  having dealings  with (well, other than my Atronochs) is Sheogorath, Mainly because he takes the whole "you're my puppet on a string" thing to a literal level.  The others just give you a quest and allow you to complete it or not.  But Sheogorath takes it a step further.  He dresses you up in the clothing of HIS choice; makes you use the weapon HE wants you to use, and keeps you trapped in*his* area until you're done.  Sometimes that's just too many strings.

The thing about daedra and the afterlife, unless you're a Nord who can get into Sovngarde, you go to Aetherius and get your soul recycled. That doesn't sound like much fun. So unless I'm reasonably sure I get an invite to the Bubba Nord's BBQ in the Sky, spending eternity serving Nocturnal or hunting in Hircine's realm is not all that bad- if you choose it yourself. Obviously being soul trapped and sent to the Soul Cairn is a different story.

You know I'm curious what happens to vampire's souls when they die.

I tried to rp the Gildergreen quest with my Bosmer but the peaceful resolution depends on that idiot follower surviving the trip.

To make that super easy on yourself, I recommend finding the sanctuary first, then accepting the quest from him and fast-traveling. He never makes it far outside Whiterun, otherwise.

I didn't realize for quite a while that you could just fast-travel with temporary companions if you needed to go long distances. Like with Esbern or Delphine, or while doing the Book of Love. Derp.

Why are you now so intent on saving that annoying self-righteous dweeb?  Half the fun in that quest is telling him to get out of the way and then watching the would be Gandhi pathetically attack you with his fists yelling, "For Kynareth!" :wizard:

The only reason I sometimes go the sapling route is because I kind of feel bad for the lady who is just chilling in the sanctuary and I can never seem to kill the Spriggans before they get her.

I always help Hircine. Maybe it's me but as a Daedra Prince he was conspicuous in being respectful and totally cool with me and giving me a straightforward quest where I didn't feel like a tool and didn't have any nagging moral issues.

I always help Peryite. Not because he's a cool Daedric prince, or because the reward he gives you absolutely kicks ass, but because the Dwemer ruin he sends you to is the biggest in the game and I simply can't convince myself to skip it.

I liked how if you decide to not do what he asks you to do, he commends you on that path rather then going "You will rue the day you chose not to obey me!"

Thats a good question. To my knowledge I don't think they are leashed ot Molag Bal but I wouldn't know if vampires end up in Molag Bal's realm.

Hey, I wouldn't mind having my soul fueling one of my awesome pieces of Dragon Armor gear. Awesome object status for eternity? Don't mind if I do!

Yeah, but what happens if you end up in a gem used by  some  n00b who's trying to grind his  enchanting score up so he can get the next perk?

Basically you'll be stuck on a pair of mass produced leather bracers, then sold to the nearest merchant. And that's what your very existance has been reduced to. lol

And Spellbreaker!

Peryite is set to be the head honcho of the next age.  Not sure how that's going to pan out.  :?

Tell him you worship the old Kyne, the one who had some balls.  B)

Heh.

There is just something...I dont know epic about being a Bosmer two hander.
Maybe its taking down people when you are a head shorter or something.

I will finally play a fully heroic and decent person though.
Wont do most quests though sadly...ah well.

Still brings back memories of playing an Dalish Elf who used two handed swords in Dragon Age.

I've actually used this as a way to get out of Nocturnal's contract.

Joining the Nightingales you need to pledge your soul to her.  However being undead you dont technically have a soul. Falion reinforces this by stating during the "Rising at Dawn" quest where you get cured for Vampirism that you need a Black Soul Gem to trade a soul for your soul.  Wherever it is stored in Oblivion.

So by having a Black Soul Gem equipped when going through the Nightingale Initiation, Nocturnal can only use that soul.  Powerfull as she is, she cant just go around pinching souls from other Daedric Realms that dont fall within her boundaries.

Plus the Black Star shows how you can aditionally manipulate Daedric Princes.  I like to think the Dragonborn has got a knack for outsmarting them.

:P

As for what happens when they die.  The soul is in Oblivion, almost certainly somewhere in Cold Harbor.  There I think it would remain.   Not a pleasant thought...

For people who are bothered by random quests being added to your journal whether you want them or not (DB or Thieves Guild for instance), there's a mod that seems promising.  I'm going to try it out.  The same mod maker has one that makes Brynjolf only approach thieves (or you can buy his Falmerblood Elixir to start the quest line) and one that lets you sell Stones of Barenziah to R'saad.

I use that mod,  it stops a lot of annoying things actually, like that Brynjolf and some other daedric quests.

I'd much rather serve Nocturnal than Molag Bal.  Her mercenary attitude is better than most gods, aedra or daedra.

Made a Bosmer and Orc last night. Happy with my Bosmer, not so happy with my Orc. At first, I thought hair on my Orc's head would be awesome.

Then in-game... it just doesn't look right. His beard was awesome, but his hair just wasn't. I'm gonna have to remake him as a bald Orc with an awesome beard.

Orc, Redguard or Nord? Which one would be best for my next character. I've used a Nord but only once. I would try out an Imperial but I know it will get boring and I'll end up not using him/her

I tried to make a redguard for a new thief character and all their mouths are weird. Ditched that idea.

I don't even think the 'good' ending is all that better than the other. It's just about which you currently feel your character would go. Normally... I either ignore the quest or my characters have little trouble with carving up people in the cave.

I tend to play more mercenary or outright evil characters in Elder Scrolls games. I don't know why. Few and far between are my noble Paladins.

I'm going to make this character a werewolf though, so not really sure if thats really compatible with Orcs though. I plan to make one eventually though.
