Well obviously there is a mass of sweetroll abductions. I just assume someone thinks I am the one who doing it and has tried to put an end to me and my sweet tooth. That's how I roll with it anyway. Image IPB

I always did find it interesting that they just KNOW it was you who stole their Eidar Cheese Wheel and whatnot.

Actually, part of the reason I ditched Serana as a follower was that she kept making me inadvertently steal crap I didn't want, which ended up getting me a bounty more than once. Somewhere between Hearthfire and Dragonborn, she got really dang annoying with that.

Serana, the vampire with the heart of gold. Sounds almost like Twilight or some drivel along those lines :P

Still Serana is awesome

Hadvar, if you escaped with Ralof.  Ralof if you escaped with Hadvar.  That's what I assume.

She is. I love having her around, but from what I understand, she causes some shenanigans with happy. I love that khajiit with the caravan, the one you get the moonstone amulet for, (can't remember his name, so I will call him J-Kitty)

I love J-Kitty, but he kept getting lost or stuck on rocks and would just stand there forever doing the running man--to the point where I would start singing MC Hammer songs. He also can't sneak for ****. He gets me caught all the time and I am not sure if it's his armor, his constant humming or the fact his tail keeps knocking over various vases, potatoes and shovels. So, I leave J-Kitty behind.

Some followers are just worse than others.

I would like to try Skyrim again with no fast travel, a better levelling system, and no encumberance (and better magic for that). The trouble is I play on Xbox 360 so would probably have to wait for a GOTY edition, or 3-4 years down the line when I upgrade my PC :(

I really enjoy playing with no fast travel... just walking around exploring the world!

In the PC you can set how much weight the character can carry using just the console command or using mods that change the game configuration or add bandoliers and backpacks, unfortunately they don't work on Xbox...
I hope that in 3-4 years we already have the Skywind Mod finished... so we can go to Morrowind too. :wizard:

Agree.  Roaming Skyrim is probably the greatest pastime in the game...well, other than mowing down necromancers and such with 'great vengeance and furious anger' (lol). I can lose half a real day, just wandering, hunting, whackin' baddies and exploring, paying no attention whatsoever to quests, and making my own story. Btw, if you have underwater breathing, swimming the entire northern coast is worth the kicks.  There are more than a few wrecks in the deep.  Yeah, roaming is worth the price of admission to me.

I use bandoliers and a bag of holding when I've had my fill of dealing with encumbrance...all depends on my mood and how I'm playing a character.  I like having them available for when I want them.

Why you torment me with this picture?

If you think about it, Serana is like Bethesda ultimate form of trolling. We got this beautiful lady with an good story and great character development, but nope, you can't marry her, not at all....

So I've just finished Dawnguard. It was good and funny. And the story was more interesting than I thought. I am also surprised by Serana and her background well developped for a game like Skyrim which isn't focused on the characters. I didn't expect at all that, nice surprise.

So what about the Dragonborn DLC ? Is it better ? The story is interesting ? Should I buy it ?

Hey, I headcanoned a fling between Serana and The Dragonborn. Since I saved inside Ancestor Glade, I told myself that they slept together. You know. Slept. And SLEPT.

Ysolda will never know...

Refusing to participate in Skyrim's dopey marriage system is what makes Serana such a great character.

That's Kharjo! And he does get lost. And stuck. Often. So does J'Zargo (and probably all vanilla followers). It makes me sad. They're supposed to just appear after some point, next to you, but that's not always reliable.

J'Zargo got completely lost in one of the new Dragonborn Dwemer ruins, and even fast traveling didn't make him appear. He didn't die, so I'm guessing he got caught on a door or something, and the game forgot to bring him. I reloaded and left him outside. We had a temp follower for a quest at the time, so I'm guessing it prioritized.

Also, in that same run, J'Zargo started the beer dance. I don't know what the heck was going on, but for an entire evening of play, he stood there and did the arm dance, like he was out carousing at one of Skyrim's many pubs. And mumbled, and did all the other cute things he and Kharjo do. It was bizarre, and it stopped the next day.

Oh, and p.s. I didn't say I don't like Serana. On the contrary, I still like her; she's just been acting up lately, so I've been sowing my wild oats, as it were.

Honestly, I just like Frea from Dragonborn so much more. Image IPB

Mr. Jackson (or do you prefer 'Jules'? Hehe), my monitor thanks you for the Diet Dew I just bestowed upon it. Image IPB

I'm with you, though. Carriages are for milk-drinkers. Walking is where it's at. You could miss a metric TON of stuff by not walking around. Also, in every new run, the very first thing I do is explore the coast. In my Bosmer run, I somehow got skunked out of waterbreathing until Dragonborn came out. Yay for Deathbrand armor in that regard.

I also explored the coast first in Dragonborn. I highly recommend it. It's a nice way to get a feel for the varying terrain, and to visit all the little islands.

J'Zargo is a major co-star in Gophervids earler Skyrim playthrough. We discovered that he will actually quit the party if you let him die too often (could have been a mod glitch, but this is my storyline; sticking to it). Too funny!

Even Serena looks a bit like Cicero when executing all those forward rolls for no reason. I shall stay with solo for the most part.

Funny how the player character can perfectly understand Serana when she should be speaking ancient Nordic since she's from the First Age.

Communication with Serana should've been like with Christine from Dead Money.

I started to read the lore page a lot for some reason. But, what can I say? The elder scroll series is well writen. I was reading about the continent of akaviri, next to Tamirel. Boy, I would love see how it looks like, it's full of new species who have their own prolongued history. Perhaps a game set in there one day, or at the very least an DLC.

So I read on the ES website that Valenwood supposedly has a sentient ape-like race.

If I wasn't already in love with the ES series, that little bit nailed my love of it.

Weird you mentioned that because I read "Report: Disaster at Ionith" about a week ago and thought how cool that place sounded.   A lot more going on then then whats happening in Tamriel.

Theres a continent North above Skyrim where the Nords came from aswell and I think theres a land mass west of the Sommerset Isles which virtually nothing is known about

It's the continent of Atmora, it started to freeze before the first era started. Now is an snowing wasteland. Recent expeditions on there found very little trace of life. The land mass you are talking about is the homeland of the high elves. Almost nothing is known about that place, and expedictions never found it, so some especulate that this place doesn't actually exists. I just love discovering the origins of every species.

Serana does bump you a lot.
I once missed a shot at a Vampire and managed to hit a guard.

Thanks for the Serana.

Thanks, Giggles. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one with the cursed Barbas-Serana! Or is it Serana-Barbas? Serabas? Uhh, too similar to Saarebas.
