It doesn't have to be as silly as the sims. It wouldn't involve actual sex scenes, just the classic fade to black screen from fallout.

The only two times that my character's children have brought home an animal, it happened to be a skeever, and there's no way he was going to let them keep those ataxia-giving animals (there is already enough of them in the cellar), especially since they couldn't wink.

I have no interest in dovahspawn myself. That gets into too many weird areas, and completely shuts out female characters and would be hard to implement for beast races. Not a thing I would like to see Bethesda spending zots on rather than deeper faction quest lines and lore development.

Speaking about family, I'm somewhat bummed that you can't, you know, have kids of your own. I have nothing against adoption, but I would like an option to have at least one child. Of course, it would be complicated for female characters go around hunting dragons while pregnant. But this totally should be an option for male characters. It's kind of simple, your would lay in bed when your wife is sleeping in there and you would have an option to just sleep or have sex with her. and then, after about 3 game months the child would be born. I think it would be quite an immersive feature.

I think it's a ****ty feature that leads to a potential ****storm. Difficult to implement, as others have said, and reminicsent of The sims, or Dragon Age and Mass effect style pixel porn, Bethesda shouldn't touch that kind of thing with a 10ft barge pole. Waaay to many issues, just look at the forums round here, it might not be as bad, but frankly I like Skyrim as it is, without the "naturally concieved" family.

I can see a couple of issues with an eight month pregnant Dovahkiin running around with a Broadsword.

Plus playing the game for nine months...   I want the kid now  :P

My Dragonborn has many, many, many more important things to do in life than squirt out her own spawn. It could be tastefully done, (maybe?) but I think it's unnecessary. It's taking two completely opposing mindsets and trying to marry them, and in this case, it doesn't make sense.

And how would that work with lycanthropy and vampirism? Just seems weird.

I vote for underwater city exploration instead.

Haha. I've reconsidered. I want to have a child, just so my offspring will inherrit my Lycanthropy and eat the local bully :D

^ As offspring of the Dragonborn, who needs an enchanted dagger, when you can simply transform into a werewolf, and take out Braith yourself? Posted Image

Fine then, no kids for the dragonborn. Funny you can decaptate an person in the game, and nobody seems to care, but even thinking on a feature about making families make people go apesh*t. Society is weird.

I care about decapitating people in-game. I totally care. I take that perk every time, just for the kill cam.

Come on, it's pretty cool to watch a bandit get silenced by your blade mid-taunt. Posted Image

Haha, noooooo. The society argument is way off the mark. The feature is weird, is going to be poorly implemented and create more problems than it's worth. That's about it. Bashing someone over the head with a two handed axe is not a difficult idea to conceive and implement.

I like the decapitating perk as well. That, and the sprinting power attack are probably my favorites from the one-hand perks.

Oh yeah, decapitation over kids any day. Not that I dislike the adoption option, because I don't. I think it's well implemented as it is. It would just take a lot of resources that could go toward other things, imo.

I don't want any sex scenes either. It's fine the way it is and trust me, my dovahkiin and her Argis get freaky all over Skyrim. I don't need to see it to know it!

I have a suspicion that my Bosmer's husband has a thing going with Lydia. She's my steward in the Falkreath house, which is where our family is currently residing. Every time I fast travel there, she and Sondas are huddled behind the house together. What are they doing back there, I wonder? Hehe.

Oh yeah, you have to watch Lydia. That girl is a supahfreak. I walked in once and she was watching Argis sleep. She does that to me all the time, chomping on her bread, but I draw the line at Argis. B!tch almost got cut.

Similarly, I occasionally see Gregor (the housecarl from the Pale) exiting my Redguard's Lakeview home, so I'm guessing that he and Rayya have a thing for each other (although my Redguard is not married).

The funny thing is that this happened once with me. I was happly married with Lydia, but decided to move with her to Windhelm, because there is no more nord city to live then there. But I noticed that Calder stared at her sometimes. Suspicious the way I am, I didn't thought twice before moving back to whiterun.

The stewards like the master bedroom for some reason. I always find Ghorbash hanging out in there. Not sleeping, just creeping. It's ok for him, though. Ghorbash can creep all he wants.

The other day I came home to a bandit raid and accidentally hit him, so I ran up and healed him. He says "if you heal my scars, we've got a problem." LOL I love that big green oaf.

I'm not really a mod person, but there are two which I'd like to give props to.

Auto Unequip Arrows is a really nice from an aesthetic standpoint as it gets rid of the annoying look of having both a quiver of arrows and a battleaxe on your back. With Dawnguard I've noticed you need to manually equip/unequip bolts and arrows if you switch from x-bows to bows to prevent a CTD, but that's just a minor inconvenience for a simple mod that has a really nice effect.

I've looked for ways to make Skyrim harder and I'll say ASIS has kicked my ass repeatedly. ASIS gives NPCs access to potions, perks, and makes them fight more intelligently but the true power behind this mod is the ability to increase spawns. You know how the Dovahkiin can casually walk into a bandit fort and easily wipe everyone out? Not on this mod! I've found it necessary to grab the Ritual Stone Power - yes the lousy one you've never used - to survive numerous times. It has some quirks (one time three dragons spawned at the same time - *NOT* an easy fight), but it's a really nice change of pace if game seems too easy.

Ghorbash is kind of like the Chuck Norris of Tamriel.

He can do whatever the heck he wants, because he's just that awesome. Posted Image

It seems that vampires can procreate; at least the men can with a non-vampiric woman: Agronak gro-Malog was the progeny of Lord Lovidicus with his Orc servant Luktuv.

As for lycantrophy, I imagine having a child that might be able to turn into a werewolf would be... problematic, at best.

That would take a really, really long underwater spell.

This should be one of those phrases you see painted on decorative signs, you know, like "Live, Laugh, Love."

I'd hang it above my door.
