What did they say? Giggles, did you get hit on by blue hairs?Giggles_Manically wrote...
Some of the comments made when using the Calm spell make me feel dirty.
Go on try it on some people and watch what happens.
Especially the old ladies in Whiterun.
I felt the need to shower after that.

1) Grelod makes noise no matter what
2) The kids never recognize you as the killer
3) Constance always panics

Anyway, Happy_dais, can you tell me what happens during the Thalmor quest in dragonborn? I heard you guys talking about it but I couldn't find any article or video about it.

You know someone is really evil when you decaptate them in front of little kids, and instead of being horrified they start cheering.
That's debatable. We as a species have spent the vast majority of our time in recorded history cheering (and aquiescing if not actually taking part) at public executions rather than being revolted by them.
Our cultural perceptions at present deem it evil, it is not inherently evil per se.

Also, is a decapitation being cheered on by kids the only sociologically odd thing you've noticed about that quest?
How about the fact that we've got a 10 year old escaping an orphanage, then traveling to a distant city and somehow managing to get his own 2 story home.... and then performing a borderline necromantic ritual to summon a hit squad to assassinate an authority figure? And succeeding....
lol

And how strange is it that once you own a home in one of the cities, that you don't lose it unless you die? Like with Hjerim, it suddenly goes up for sale after you clear Blood on the Ice and choose/complete a civil war side. You could assume that the Shatter-Shields sold it back to the city, but it isn't mentioned. So what about Breezehome? Proudspire? Honeyside? Who died so you could live there?
And if that is the case, why doesn't the Aretino residence go up for sale (not that you'd want that tiny little place)? Or Calixto's shop?
I think about the weirdest things.

^ I always assumed that was the house he lived in with his mother...but how in the heck did he get to Windhelm with no cash? Did a carriage driver take pity on him?

This bandit and his pals attacks my house.
Only to get Lydia (wife) to come out and kill all three of them.
Imagine growing up in a house where both your parents can kick that much ass.

You've convinced me. I should buy Proudspire. Maybe Jordis would like to hang out sometime.

I personally am very attracted to the fact that virtually every dungeon or Dwemer ruin you enter has its own story to tell...that is, of course if one is actually paying attention.
Well, I love the fact that pretty much EVRY ruin/tomb/even cave has it's own story or at least background in Skyrim.
Really adds tons of atmosphere to the game.
Yep. You are most certainly correct. I was merely understating the fantastic story elements of the game, that are to be found in exploration, reading books, not to mention in the intersection of numerous quests/locations (Dead Men's Respite and 'Olaf One Eye' comes immediately to mind).
But, then again, we're constantly reminded by the "elites" of the gaming world, (you know, those who apparently know infinitely more than we mere peasants), that Bethesda doesn't do good story. What a crock of $#!+!
