Just go to the Dainty Sload off the coast of Solitude  (it's the ship icon next to the lighthouse) and kill everyone in it.   You'll come out with, like 12 scimitars.

If he has Hearthfire, he can get them by purchasing the Lakeview Manor (I believe) and taking them from Rayya. I nicked them right off that sassy cat.

I left her at Castle Volkihar and she been missing for about a month in game time and I got no idea when she is. She is 100% not in the Castle. Any ideas???

One of the reasons why PCs are so convenient.

I didn't realize this until my last playthrough, but sometimes Serana goes adventuring by herself and leaves Fort Dawnguard and Castle Volkihar.  If you looked through the entire Castle and couldn;t find her, i'd suggest sleeping in a coffin for 12-16 hours and then go to the main hall - that's what I did and she was right there.  Now you say she's been gone for a month?  I don't know.  What I'd do is go to Riften, do a fetch quest, and then come back.  Fast travel to far away places is kind of like rebooting a computer; it has a habit of fixing things. I'd try those two before reloading a previous save.

Thanks, yeah I havent slept for a period in the castle so will try that. I know she goes adventuring but shes been gone an excessively long time. Hope she hasnt got stuck somewhere...

God my latest playthrough has been buggy as hell. One of the main companions quests was completely missed out! wtf?!

Giys and ladies I require assistance.

I think I have been trapped by a glitch. I can not go into the final black book to fight Miirak, the black book dreams something. I just appear at the end of the previous black book, with a oil pool at the centre and an dragonborn script on the boulder at the end where you learn the second word. I can not go anywhere, the ate behind me is locked.

Sounds like the level hasn't loaded properly

A couple of the dungeons had me fall through the floor a reappear at random points (probably where there was floor to place me).  A main menu reload worked for me

On an unrelated not, I think I just score my coolest bow kill ever. I was at Valtheim towers, and there is aways that bandit at the top watching the road, I was pretty far, and when I shot the killing arrow I managed to score an kill cam and the bandit got hit right in the nose and fell off the tower. I don't think I had ever managed to score such an cinematic kill.

I've done that, the dreams book starts and stays at the end of the previous black book, I can not proceed anywhere. I am stuck on this platform with the dragonborn boulder at the ending with the moving Dragonborn script on it.

I'm supposed to learn the final word of the shout, yet nothing happens. I'm also supposed to fight Miirak.

My attempt at a Wood Elf DB was at least partially successful today. While concluding Shroud Hearth Barrow at ca.12-15th, he scored twelve kills with twelve shots on the final undead, plus a three shot kill on the final undead leader; all made from the near the entrance while maintaining concealment. Of course, it does pay to have practiced that location run several times.

I designed this one to look like one of the NWN1 portraits; a white haired archer in the snow.

So I robbed Maven's house and left junk everywhere in it.
I literally left NOTHING in it and left burned books, plates, and linen rolls everywhere.

Petty? Yes.
Funny? Yes.

Then I found where she likes to do the Black Sacrament.
So I took the note and stuff there and left it full of cheese.


Next I will pickpocket her and put a fish in her pocket!
I may not be able to kill her but oh shall I make her go nuts.

What can she really do? I killed the DB and rule the TG.

It's really a starter quest, the second side quest most players will likely get after 'The Golden Claw' so there's not much of a reward if i recall, but it's the only time you get to see Alik'r in the entire game, besides ****r.
