I've kind of abandoned playing characters with resistances as of late. It IS too easy to block all dragon damage, if you're stacking a racial ability with enchanted gear. Basically what that means for me is that I've been playing my kitties. I don't usually bother with the brawl quests, or go unarmed, so they might as well not have an inborn ability. Sometimes those things just seem like too much of a crutch.

...Although after last week's speculation on the next DLC, I did create another Redguard character. Image IPB

I usually try to play a race that is atypical for its role. Nord wizards, Altmer warriors, Imperial thieves, etc. I think they make more interesting characters to role-play and give a more satisfying feeling of accomplishment when you kick ass Image IPB

I do that same thing! Image IPB The 'expected' is boring. I did that in a beginning, but haven't in quite some time.

A lot of us have been playing Skyrim for over a year, so after all this time, I suppose it's not surprising that we'd find a way to add some extra flavor to the experience.

God damn it.

My school blocked Steam for good.
Now I have to download stuff at home, on the slow net.

Still got my one character, who I imagine is standing out there in Solstheim right now thinking, "Man, Prince really does take his sweet freaking TIME GETTING BACK TO PLAYING THIS, CHRIST. YOU COULDN'T LEAVE ME IN PROUDSPIRE MANOR OH NOOOOO, HAD TO LEAVE ME IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE IN FREAKING SOLSTHEIM, GOOD JOB YOU JERK. YOU HAVE GIRL HAIR."

Funny thing is that I tried to make my main nord a battlemage. It was a bit weird playing like that, I don't know to express it, it feels a bit out of place playing the game like that. Speaking about dragon and stuff, I was remembering how I would like an DLC featuring Alduin again. I mean, his boss battle didn't felt very fitting for his character. And since it's aluded that Alduin didn't truly died, it would be cool to have an DLC were he makes an return with him giving an proper boss battle like no other in the game.

^ Speaking of Alduin, I hear that Miraak's dialogue is slightly different if you've defeated him. I haven't tried it with a character who finished the MQ yet, so I couldn't say for sure. Makes sense, though; even the Hearthfire bards recognize when you've defeated Alduin, so why wouldn't the other Dragonborn?

@Prince - Did you at least leave your character in the mead hall or pub? Image IPB

I havent tried it either, but as far as Im aware he just further touts his arrogance by saying that he could have defeated Alduin anyway.

^ Huh. Well that's not very exciting. I guess I won't be dropping everything to beat the MQ, then.

You know, I think Miraak's been forgetting to steal my dragon souls. He's let me keep the last three I killed in Solstheim. Err, well, he didn't show up to steal them, anyway.

He stole two of mine, one of which I needed to unlock the last word of Bend Will.  Ended up wandering Solstheim for four days while I tried to find another Dragon.  Not a bad thing I can assure you. Thats when I met my good friend Karstaag!!!

Pfft, my character beat Miraak down ages ago. So he really doesn't have anything to do except stand on a shore with his hands in his Daedric Heavy Pockets.

Happy, I saw Miraak confrontation, he just says something on this line: "Ah, so you are the one that defeated Alduin. Well done. I could have defeated him myself if I wanted, but i chose another path. The graybeards wanted me to defeat him, but I aimed for something bigger"

Miraak reminds me a little of handsome Jack for some reason.

@Prince - Daedric Heavy Pockets, heheh. It is awfully amazing how much our characters are able to carry. They must have some amazingly deep pockets hidden inside that armor.

He stole a couple of mine while I was in Skyrim proper in my first run, and now he doesn't seem too interested in taking them at all. My character had 17 souls stockpiled before starting this Dragonborn run, so it wouldn't matter much either way, tbh.

That had to be irritating, wandering around looking for them. They seem to always show up when I go to Tel Mithryn.

Alduin definitely deserves a rematch

AUUUUUUGH I want Dragonborn so bad going through this thread.

Though I should probably finish Dawnguard first. I keep getting distracted by shinies.

Been thinking of returning to Skyrim recently, with all the DLCs out. Shame I'm not a PC gamer. They have basically everything the DLCs offer, and so much more.

Hilariously silly, actually.

I search Google everyday for news of the Dragonborn DLC for PC and PS3. No such luck.

First your Steam updates its Achievement list by adding the new DLC ones.
Odd that they dont announce it coming out.
