Is Dragonborn worth buying? I'm on a budget and want the other two DLCs more when they come out later this month for the PS3 but as its been over a year since I last played, I'm ready for a Skyrim fix. Is it worthwhile at ten dollars?

If you want more Skyrim, thenI'd say Dawnguard is easily worth the $10. Haven't played Dragonborn yet, but it looks fantastic and at least to me, easily worth $10.

I would say so.

Of all three DLC I would suggest getting Dawnguard the most though.
Since it makes Vampires and Werewolves much easier to play.

Very fun overall.

Bethesda's QA has always been lulz. The amount of bugs I found in Dragonborn was just bad. My fav was in the fight with Miraak where I kept making Miraak go past 10% of health thus when he did his thingy he didn't go to full health and the fight would not continue. How the hell could Betehesda not notice that!?

The thing that stings the most is that the xbox people got that one way back when too...so beth knew it and did not bother to look at it for the pc crowd.

I had it, but then I verfied data cache and downloaded the unofficial dragonborn patch. Not sure which one fixed it, but yeah.

Luckily that is the only bug I have found; my system has been stable. I don't run many mods...probably around 35 or so.

I didn't have that bug on XBox. In fact, that fight was over so quickly, I was kind of shocked. Literally, once I actually got to Miraak, the fight was over in less than 5 minutes. It took longer getting to him than fighting him.

Of course, that may have something to do with my twin Dremora Lords. Image IPB

I Vampire Lorded Miraak. An assassin trying to hit that fool with a bow or closing in for a dagger power attack was boring and clunky.  I'm getting my Dunmer ready for him, the fight should be more enjoyable.

^ Miraak did get a couple of good hits in on my Bosmer, before I shouted M4D on him, then let the Dremora Lords go to work. I don't know what it is, but I can't seem to shake Marked for Death as my favorite shout.

Yeah, I already helped the milk drinkers take back their mead hall.

Aww, that stinks. Well, there's always next time?

Helping out Bujold made me feel dirty in the end. No choice was a good one.

^ Yeah, but then I have guilt to live with. Dang it, any choice in that quest makes me feel guilty.

My gut reaction was to tell her I wouldn't lie, and my follower killed her before I even realized what was happening. So I continued on, to see how things would shake out, and felt guilty. So I reloaded and tried something else, and felt guilty.

It's funny that a video game can do that. Image IPB

Lol Deathbrand set is some crappy light armour. Some more junk to stick on a mannequin.

How many DLCs are next? Will there be five in total, like with New Vegas and FO3?

Yeah, Deathbrand is kinda pointless, unless you're really into Stahlrim armors, which I am not. It's kinda fugly, imho. I was thankful to have it in my first Dragonborn run, though. I'd gotten that character's level up into the 40s, and somehow missed picking up a waterbreathing enchantment, so in that case, it all worked out.

I'd rather wear Blackguard's Armor (looks like Linwe's Armor, but has better stats than Guildmaster Armor), personally. Or even Ahzidal's set. My current Breton character is wearing Dragonscale, so I'm cool with keeping her in that.

And J'Zargo is wearing Nordic Carved Armor. If you guys haven't seen a Khajiit in that armor, you should. Image IPB

Judging from the loading screens, Stahlrim heavy armour looks great, much better than in Morrowind.

If I were a Dunmer, though, I'd wear Bonemold or Chitin.

I actually like the 'Dunmer clothes'. I'm half tempted to fire up a pure mage, and have her run around in that stuff. Speaking of which, I do have a Dunmer that's a pure mage. That's brilliant.

Heh, I reloaded after killing her, too.  It's even harder for me to figure out what my Stormcloak would do.  In principle she believes in the Nord idea that if you're weak, you don't deserve to lead, and if you want to die in a duel, that's your business.  But she would also never side with little goblins over Nords, even milk drinking ones, and there doesn't seem to be anybody else in Thirsk with backbone.

I'd give Thirsk to a band of Ash Spawn rather than some dumb Nords.

Yeah so I found out what was screwing up Kindred Judgment, apparently it was a mod that remodeled it, I was hoping that wasn't what was causing the problem.

Anyways, does anybody know if there's any mods that fix Volkihar, I don't want my Altmer to live in that hole.

They are very cute.  And I about fell over laughing in the cave where they were praying to a frozen horse corpse and empty wagon.

@ HoonDing- Kind of how I feel about giving Skyrim back to dumb imperials.  :D

^ I know, weird, huh? The first time I got attacked by a group of vampires out in the Skyrim wilds, after playing Dragonborn, I was surprised to find Nordic weapons on them as loot.

I see that it improves Rigel's looks, considerably. Hehe. Image IPB

I was really impressed they got the armour into the mainland.

Its at that point in the game now where you need a little more variety to make encounters a little more interesting, even if it is only aesthetic

Skyrim does emergent gameplay so much better than any other single player RPG of our times.

Sneaking about in Solitude prison for no apparent reason. Come across a prisoner,Morndas who not all that surprisingly wants to escape..so I help her do just that. She is grateful and expresses desire to tag along. Two mins later we head to Riften. Dragon is attacking Riften, proceeds to eat Morndas. Fate's a cruel wench.
AT LEAST SHE DIED A FREE WOMAN:(

In my books, a change for these tiny seemingly insignificant stories to born and take form is what seperates good RPGs from great RPGs.

become-a-Vampire plot line of Dawnguard, does that as well begin by visiting that keep near Riften every other guard is talking about?

Indeed. In Dawnguard you'll start by hearing talk about a team of vampire hunters taking recruits over in The Rift, and then yadda yadda yadda gonna save it for those who have yet to play it.

Well sorry Bethesda for blaming you for Skyrim breaking.
Turns out it was my Hard drive dying.

Going to be about a month before I can even touch Skyrim again.
Sigh.

Finally made my way to Solstheim. Then promptly got my ass kicked by 6 ash spawns trying to clear up the temple basement. Definitely has a different feel than Nordland.

Ouch, sorry Giggles.

I made it to Tel Mithryn- holy crap. Bethesda is amazing. Apocrypha is also pretty clever. I don't know how people can be blase' about this stuff or say it was boring.
