Morrowind is far more racist to me, their racism is there for all to see
Slavery was the backbone of their nation, and the Empire was part of that civilization
They even had dealings with the Camonna Tong, a truly racist and dangerous throng
There was even a slave market in Suran, dealing in slaves across the land

I cannot then favor one race over another, when they all seem to hate each other
Hate is something all people possess, with ancient grudges do they all obsess
But the Dunmer brought on their own fate, leaving both Nord and beastfolk quite irate
And so the lesson in Skyrim is quite rich: karma can truly be a b****.

There has always been racism in TES.

The Dunmer are and were incredibly racist, in TES.
In Arena everyone was racist against Orcs claiming they were mindless beasts.
In Oblivion there were lots of racists across the board.

Skyrim is more overt about the racism, but is was always there in TES.

How has Arena and the other prior TES games fared over time? I was impressed with the scenery of Slyrim in their E3 presentations, but do not recall seeing anything like to it prior. In fact, the little I did see of MW was enough to keep me away from the game.

Oh for the love of god.

I hate Frost using enemies.
That stupid back peddling, slowing, stamina draining stupidity.

ESPECIALLY WITH ICE STORM

Yeah frost casters are my least favorite casters to face because they always slow me down and on top of that waste my stamina so I can't zoom in with my bow.

You know...I missed the early game
Combat is much more thrilling when it is so very threatening.

There has been a few times where I ran about going "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP!"
So much fun

I know how that is, as one of my friends would attest, in a middle of conversation I would occassionally scream "OHMYGODNOTANOTHERSNOWBEAR!****IT'SCHASINGME!"
and later
"ITFOLLOWED ME OVER THE CLIFFFRICKFRICKFRICK!"

On another note, does anyone know the character limit to names in Skyrim, I want to make the Argonian named "Masturbates Furiously" but I don't know if it would fit.

Ever notice that the game hands out quests faster than you can finish them?
I mean everywhere I go it is like "DO STUFF FOR ME!"

Ugh.
I cant walk anywhere without adding more to my list.

I was really impressed by Moesring Pass.

I have no idea what happened, but somehow a Lurker sent him into orbit.

Yay, thanks for posting these! I love Moesring Pass, too. In my first run, I completely missed that Dwemer ship! I believe I walked right over it, and kept going. In my own defense, I think some frost trolls showed up as red dots, and we all ran off to see who/what was out there.

Great job on your Dunmer; he's hawt! Image IPB

Lurkers have a strong pound attack, similar to giants. That can happen if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. I usually resort to distraction as a weapon. My DL buddies don't seem to mind.

You know it is kind of funny witnessing people falling for the arrow trick.

I mean an arrow hits the wall next to you.
Do you then:
A) Look at it like an idiot
B) Look at it like a moron
C) Look at it like a fool and go "WUH?"

If you answered yes to any of the above CONGRATS! You are now qualified to be a bandit in Skyrim.

^ That's part of my archery tactic, tbh. Just shoot an arrow where you want them to go. Easy peasy.

They really are stupid. Image IPB

^ Yes, as long as it actually follows you home. Image IPB

This takes me back to all the pets I had growing up. My mom was a good sport about it, really. We had everything from lightning bugs to snakes, to anything with four legs and fur.

So why does Hermaeus Mora say that my dragonborn "serves" him. Is that his way of trying to screw with people? My dragonborns are not ending up in Apocrypha, that place is dreadful, its even more depressing than the Soul Cairn.

If the Dragonborn refuses to serve Hermaeus Mora in "Discerning the Transmundane", Mora tries to persuade the Dragonborn that he has been influencing the Dragonborn's actions all along. However, given how angry he seemed at the Dragonborn's rebuttal of his offer to serve as his emissary, Mora could simply be trying to screw with him. It's likely a continuation of Mora wanting the Dragonborn to serve him as his new emissary, even if the protagonist isn't inclined to bend knee to a Daedric Prince.

We used to have pet rats, so this question doesn't make sense to me. Image IPB Of course, they were Dumbo rats, so they were hella cute, and super sweet; nothing like Skeevers.

Back on topic, my pixel kids haven't brought anything home other than a fox, that I can recall.

Yeah he's all talk, still out of the daedric lords I think he is probably the most dangerous one, due to him possessing so much knowledge.

I've heard it can really slow down your frame rate, which is why Bethesda doesn't make the battles bigger in the first place.  I don't use big mods like that.  Too much trouble.

Yeah, Ulfric is trying to usurp the throne of Skyrim. He's got no claim to it. He just doesn't like who's on it. Torygg wasn't "Nord" enough for him. Windhelm has scripted in your face racism on the first visit. I'm supposed to pay attention to it. It's Ulfric's city. How can he not be aware. He knows how bad it is in the Gray Quarter. He doesn't help non-Nords in danger or in need. Reminds me of the 60s when blacks called the police and no help was sent. That's enough for my Imperial.

Technically, Ulfric has a claim to the throne of Skyrim because he bested High King Torygg in a duel, according to Nordic tradition. Torygg accepted Ulfric's challenge for the throne because, as Sybille Stentor points out, he risked losing his throne with a new Moot if he declined Ulfric's challenge.

And while two Nords are belligerent towards a Dunmer woman, it's interesting to note that this also opens up the fact that the Stormcloaks aren't a "Nord only" organization when two Nords are irate that the Dunmer from the Gray Quarter aren't joining the organization. A Thalmor agent even disguises himself as a high ranking member of the Stormcloaks, despite being an Atlmer.

Another interesting bit is that Ulfric never seems to explicitly express disdain for other races; he says he can't allocate resources to the Gray Quarter because he is funding his war against the Empire, he actually tries to forge an alliance with High Rock, and doesn't condemn them or berate them for refusing his offer. You hear disdain from Galmar when it comes to other races, however; he also asks a non-Nord Dragonborn why he (or she) would want to assist in the Stormcloak rebellion, while Ulfric seems as though he could care less about the race of the protagonist. It's possible some characters might conflate Galmar's views with Ulfric's.

What I find cool is that there are plenty of arguments to side with either the Stormcloaks or the Legion; neither Ulfric nor Tullius are villains, even if the Dragonborn becomes an antagonist to one of them by siding with the other. Even at the end of the Civil War Questline, the person genuinely believes he is doing what's best for Skyrim and its people (although, as you can easily see, everyone differs on what is the best course of action for Skyrim - which makes for an interesting story).

The Grand Oak Tree wrote...

I do not pity the Dark Elves, they are quite the racists themselves
Their contempt for Argonians is plain indeed, to separate the two is there a need
Years of slavery sowed seeds of hate, and the invasion of Morrowind sealed that fate
It goes to show that no race is clean, to other races are they all quite mean
So to single out Nords above all else, I consider to be quite racist itself.

True, Poet Tree. There is racism among all groups of people in Mundus; Nords, Dunmer, Imperials.

Are the Redguard racist towards others? I know Bretons are since Anton Virane, the jarl's cook in Markarth is racist toward his own just because they're "reachmen". I know some Imperials call Skyrim a "far flung end of the empire" and assume people from Skyrim are peasants. I hate those nobles.

Not used it myself, but have seen it in Gophervids Let's Play Skyrim Orc Warlock Pt 1 series; around Ep 10-12.; watched this again just today.

Personally, the mod is not for me. There may seemingly be a performance hit, but that is understandable; tossing 40+ fighting warriors and spellcasters together in already occupied areas is not my idea of a good time.

Pls take a look, and make your own decision:
